Way yo set up, easy to use, and the output is FAST and CRISP. i love that i can see the ink levels in each tank. The paper tray holds a generous number of sheets and it is simple to load. The control panel buttons are a good size snd the scren, although small, is easy to read with the tilting feature. Highly recommend.

I would like to say it’s 100% the best printer ever, but it’s not. It’s not bad, but it’s not the best. We were forced into buying a new printer when our 2005 HP software quit updating and was found to be useless. So I put on my investigative had to find a print as good if not better then the HP. I came to the conclusion that this Canon would fit the bill. I like the color tanks for ink and I pray they don’t dry out like many tank types do. The Canon prints very well but we have had trouble just pressing print on the computer and the Canon just printing. For some reason our Imac/Crome Internet search engine don’t print on the Canon. But when I print from the same page on Safari it will print??? I am a simple man and just want my devices to work seamlessly, that’s why I by Apple products, I just want it to work and don’t want reboot every time I need to work on the computer. It has double sided print ability that works well but I really don’t need it. I haven’t printed any color pictures yet to see it’s quality, so far this printer has done just that, print. Here is hoping for 15 yrs or more or happy printing.

Overall very satisfied. Have used this for about 14 months and do a fair amount of printing - have probably gone through 8-10 reams of paper and have yet to refill the ink. Black down to about 1/4 and colors between 1/4 and 1/2 full. Used to spend nearly $100/month on ink for an HP so this is definitely much cheaper to run for what I do. Have been very reliable and print quality is good. Not the fastest machine around, and occasionally spends a lot of time "thinking" on startup or randomly, which is sometimes frustrating, but overall quite a good experience. Two-sided printing is handy but slower due to drying time between flippling page (printed a 294 page book draft two sided in a little over 2 hours). A good buy if you do more than just the occasional printing.

So far, so good. I do alot of printing for my job when I am at home. It is great to have a printer that does auto duplex printing and have the mega tanks so I don't have to worry about running out of ink as soon as I did with my old G2522. I also LOVE that it came with a FULL supply of ink versues the usual partial cartridages that come with other printers. BONUS two FULL extra bottles of ink with the printer. All I can say is that Cannon knows how to WOW their customers. The only critique I would offer is that a color touch screen on the printer would have been a great addition. It is a bit difficult to navigate all of the menu options with the tiny little black and white screen.

This printer is a superb choice if cost per page is important to you. The Canon Pixma G6020 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One Printer is a very reliable, inexpensive, easy to use and relatively compact device which will economically print large quantities of documents at a very nice quality level. Canon is a very large ($37 billion sales) Japanese optical and electronics company, founded in 1937. It produced the first Japanese 35mm camera and pioneered many other products in Japan, including the electronic calculator, the first zoom lens movie camera, electronic flash units, inkjet printers, digital cameras, copiers, scanners, laser printers and high-technology medical products. It developed and is the primary supplier of the print engines used in most laser printers. In 1985 it created the first bubble jet inkjet printer. PIXMA printers are Canon’s high quality photo reproduction and general purpose printing devices for home and small office use. Here are the key features of this great multifunction printer: • Canon PIXMA G6020 MegaTank All-in-One Inkjet Printer/Copier/Scanner • Connectivity: Wireless (802.11b/g/n), USB, Ethernet connectivity, PictBridge • Ink capacity/page yield: Black 170 ml = approx. 6,000 pages, Cyan/Yellow/Magenta 70 ml each = approx. 7,700 pages • Print resolution: up to 4800 x 1200 dpi • Print speed: 15-20 seconds for first page, 7 – 13 pages per minute • Automatic duplex (two-sided) printing • Paper capacity: 250 sheets in lower tray, 100 sheets in upper/rear slot • Paper sizes: 3.5x3.5, 4x4, 4x6, 5x5, 5x7, 7x10, 8x10, Letter, Legal, #10 envelopes • Duty cycle: Up to 5,000 pages/month • Scan function: 1200 x 2400 resolution, 8.5 x 11.7 inch flatbed • Copy function: up to 99 copies, 2 on 1, 4 on 1, borderless, duplex • Alexa and Google Assistant compatible • Canon Print app for Apple and Android phones • Dimensions: 15.9 W x 14.6 D x 7.7 H (inches) • Weight: 17.8 pounds • Includes Easy-PhotoPrint Editor, PosterArtist, Scan utility, setup and driver software • One year limited warranty Setting up this printer is actually very easy, but I strongly urge you to watch the installation videos which Canon provides on its website. Canon is a wonderful, innovative technology company with superb products but its installation documentation not as well-written and illustrated as it should be. You could probably follow the drawings and diagrams but it is much safer to just pull up the available videos to guide you. There is a link to those videos in the printer setup guide. The steps required to set up the printer are really just removing tape and packing material, inserting the two print heads (black and color) and then filling the ink tanks. Filling the tanks is nearly fool-proof, but just for safety’s sake I suggest doing so while wearing casual clothing and not over carpeting. You probably won’t spill any of the ink, but why take chances? Just take the ink bottles out of their sealed packaging, remove the screw top and insert each into the appropriate ink tank inlet. You need to press down slightly to start the ink filling process. Tap the ink bottle a couple of times to be sure that all ink has been transferred and then remove the bottle, recap it and throw it away. Refilling the tanks won’t happen very often but it is no harder than changing ink cartridges. Once the tanks are filled, setup of the printer just requires inserting paper and letting it run through an alignment routine. Next, I had the very pleasant surprise of discovering that the printer could connect itself to my network without any intervention on my part (other than verifying my network’s name and password.) I did not even need to attach a USB cable (which most wireless printers frequently require in the setup phase.) I have several computers on my network and the new Canon G6020 appeared as an available printer on all of them. I noticed that some other reviewer reported some issues with network connection but I had no such problems. The setup worked automatically and perfectly. If for some reason you want to connect with a cable you also have the choice of USB or Ethernet ports on the printer. The Canon G6020 has a large (250 sheet) paper capacity in the lower paper drawer. It loads easily and is adjustable for multiple paper sizes. The printer also has a rear/upper paper feed slot which is hidden by a cover until needed. It would probably be most useful for envelope printing, handling odd paper sizes or feeding photo paper. Print quality is really excellent, even in the economy (standard) mode. In the higher quality (business document) mode the print quality matches most laser printers I have used. The printer driver provides nice printing options like 2 on 1 and 4 on 1 (two or four page images on a single sheet of paper), borderless, scaled, fit-to-page, booklet and others. The most useful option is the automatic duplexing (two-sided printing) which id manages without drama. Photo printing quality is good and acceptable for most purposes. If you want really outstanding photo printing quality you should invest in a dedicated photo printer. This printer’s color capability will be best used in printing business documents (graphs, multi-colored text, PowerPoint slide copies, etc.) and it does a very nice job on such tasks. The printing speed is not rapid but certainly acceptable at about 12 pages/minute (black) and about 6 pages/minute for color documents (speeds estimated by my own testing.) For home use and most small offices this is perfectly fine. Scanning, at resolutions up to 1200 x 2400 dpi, can be managed from the printer’s control panel or by using the included Canon IJ Scan Utility (or by just using Windows Fax and Scan utility.) I recommend Canon’s utility which will scan to a PDF, stich large documents together and facilitate OCR, among other features. The copy function is excellent, producing up to 99 copies in black print or color from each original with options for shrinking or enlarging originals. The only drawback is that you need to use the terrible control panel display to make your copy settings. This is the only really weak point on this otherwise fine device. The legibility and contrast of this two line LCD display is poor. It is not backlit, so you may find yourself bringing a flashlight and magnifying glass to your printer to read the panel. This is an element where Canon economized very unwisely. Other bonus features include Alexa/Google Assistant support and easy printing from phones and tablets using the free Canon Print app. But the most important feature of the Canon PIXMA G6020 MegaTank All-in-One Inkjet Printer/Copier/Scanner is that MegaTank. It holds 170 ml of black ink and a total of 210 ml of color ink (70 ml each of cyan, yellow and magenta). Those massive tanks will print about 6,000 sheets of black ink documents and about 7,700 sheets of color documents. The best part is the incredibly low cost of the ink. The black ink refill bottle costs just $18 and the color ink refills are just $12 each. And you get two extra black ink refills with the printer! If you print ten pages a day that black ink will last you for five years! The cost comparison to standard ink cartridges is amazing. A typical replacement inkjet cartridge costs about $40 and will print 400-500 pages at a cost per page of about $0.08. The cost per page of the MegaTank system is about $0.003 – less than 4% of the cost of a standard inkjet printer! If you are upgrading from a traditional inkjet printer you may be used to minimizing your printing to avoid the expense of ink cartridge replacement. This Canon G6020 may free you to print much more readily since you have a cost per page lower than almost any other printing device on the market. Those savings are due to the fact that you are not replacing the print head, as you must with each new ink cartridge, and the elimination of the plastic cartridge body cost. The Canon G6020 has print heads that you install when you first set up the printer and I suppose that you could replace those at some point, but they are designed to last for the life of the printer. The only caution that I would advise is that you print at least one page in black ink and one color copy every month to keep the ink lines from potentially drying out from lack of use. The Canon G6020 is attractive in a very business-like fashion. It is matte black with nicely rounded corners and it is fairly compact, given the huge ink tanks it contains. It will fit easily in all computer stations. And, since it connects wirelessly, it can be located in any convenient space – it does not need to be next to the PC it is serving. This is ideal for small offices since you can also use this great device as a supplemental copier. The more I use the Canon PIXMA G6020 MegaTank All-in-One Inkjet Printer/Copier/Scanner, the more I like it. When I first set it up I was going to give it just four stars because of the terrible control panel display. But as I got to know and appreciate its outstanding economics and its many other fine features, my aggravation with the control panel became such a minor issue that I can honestly give this great printer a full five stars and my unqualified endorsement. Buy it without qualms!

Setup was a piece of cake - I was worried about spilling ink during the filling process but didn't lose a drop!! like every printer you just have to find all the orange tape to remove and plugin. Then insert the 2 printer heads and fill the tanks! Setup was simple via the included CD. The software still looks like it's from the '90s but it worked to perfection. Detected the printer and set up the wifi easily. I tried a few prints and was happy with the results. I was able to easily print from the cartridge or rear insert easily. The colors on paper were a little washed out but were perfect on photo paper and printable vinyl for my CRICUT stickers!! The machine itself was smaller than I had anticipated by the size of the box.and fits nicely on my side table. The prints are extremely quick and have not been "wet" went done printing. I reduced to 4 stars for the following reasons: 1. The software works great but has that 90's design! 2. poor color on standard 20lb/92 paper - just a bit washed out 3. The display is HARD to read!! It really should be backlit, even though it does adjust angle it's still hard to read. Time will tell on the longevity of this printer - I abandoned ink many years ago due to the ink cost and the cartridges drying out before I could use them. As such, use laser for daily and local pharmacy for color prints. Ink refills for this are not expensive(12 bucks per color refill at the time of this writing). I would recommend this for home project/photo printing. I also like the phone app to print pictures directly from your phone where I take most my pictures anyway!!

Printers are my arch-nemesis. I loathe them to the point where I've refused to own one. What few things I've needed printing, I'd throw them onto a USB thumb drive and take them to my local Kinko's and have them printed there. But now, with resumes that need to be printed and our daughter starting Middle School, I thought I may give my mortal enemy another round. Who won this time? It's a draw, actually! Printers and I never get along. This one did give me a bit of a fuss, but after about 3 hours and throwing all of my tech know-how at it, I finally achieved victory and found some inner peace. My primary issues with printers were: 1) It seemed that the cost of the ink just never justified owning a printer and that buying new ink/cartridges quickly cost more than the price of the printer itself. 2) Installing the drivers always created so much bloatware on my PC. 3) Setting it up and getting/keeping it connected to the wireless network has always been a pain. Now that is over, lets get into what matters. The review. Unboxing the printer was a great experience. Everything was super nicely packed. I loved the fact that not only did Canon provide you with the necessary ink for the initial fill, but they also gave two extra bottles of the Black ink (for 3x total Black fills). It would have been nice to have seen some sample photo paper or something, just to get started so I wouldn't have had to run out and buy some. Otherwise, everything was great. Removing all the packaging tape that secures everything on and in the printer during shipping wasn't difficult and I didn't wind up forgetting some somewhere. The ink was...if I dare say, a joy to fill. It's almost a satisfying experience. Once everything is unpackaged, the heads installed and the ink filled, it's ready to turn on. Now, I wanted to say that I followed the instructions in the quick set-up guide PERFECTLY. I powered it on, did everything I needed and went to the website from my PC that it instructed. Started the setup process (Easy WL connect, as it's called) and darn, wouldn't ya know it? The sucker just WOULD NOT connect to the network. After refreshing the setup process where it's "trying to find the printer" some 20x total and following the alternate routes it provides, nothing was working. So, I had to go to the printer and get it on the network manually using the single line LCD display. Going through the arduous process of inputting my huge Wi-Fi password, only for it to smack my hand and say that it couldn't connect to the network (twice), I went to call Canon support. Guess what? Oh, yeah, they're closed on the weekend. So, after hammering away for about 2 more hours, I finally discovered the WPS Connection option and after about 5x trying this, something glorious happened. IT CONNECTED!!! I was sooooo ecstatic. Once it connected and I was able to finish setup on the PC. I called it quits for the day. After 3 hours, I needed to bask in my glory for a bit before returning to play. So, over the next few days, I'd tested pretty much everything I needed. I was able to get a few things printed that I needed to - a resume and a few shipping labels. Man, that was nice not having to go out. Then I played around with some pictures and had ZERO complaints. I was surprised that the photo paper loads via the back and not in the paper tray. So, it's nice to not have to remove the paper every time you want to print a photo. I was impressed with both the print quality and the speed of this thing. Also, we own all Apple devices and the Airplay function works as advertised, no issues with connecting and everything is in harmony. The Airplay feature was the primary reason, along with the MegaTank, that we wanted to go with this printer. In conclusion, I'm going to give this 4 stars. It loses a star for the initial setup and network connection woes and that the setup itself doesn't really give you all available options or explain why the Easy WL Connect wasn't working. That one is still a mystery. If it weren't for this one issue, I'd give this thing 5 stars all the way through. I also wanted to add that the cost of ink for this puppy isn't bad, either! The colors are $12 each and the Black is $18 (via Best Buy). So, if you needed one of each to do a full fill-up from empty, you're looking at $54 total (3x color, 1x black). Which for me, is about the same price as a game. I can deal with that!
