Nice Product. Preferred this design instead of wearable glass since I have eye Power glasses. Used it during Apr2024 Total Solar eclipse and enjoyed the scene. 2x magnification added advantage.

I'm glad I spent a little more money for these glasses - while the sun still looked far away (because it is), seeing the eclipse through regular glasses looked a lot smaller. I like how it folds in and the visor protects the lenses, too, which was helpful since I traveled with these glasses. The visor is also a good addition.

This product was used to view the eclipse in central Texas and not much to say except that it works and it's portable/collapsable. The small magnification is nice but it would be better if it was x5.

Eclipse viewing glasses were highly recommended by New York Times. I got the last 2 boxes at my local store. Ordered online and picked up in store. Great service!

The Best Way to View an Eclipse

These were the best shades for watching the eclipse! I had used some different ones in the past, and was not thrilled with them. They were flimsy and hard to view anything. These Celestrons are well made and easy to handle. The best thing was the magnification! For a glasses wearer like me that extra magnification helped turn a blurry view to a sharp event. These solar viewers are good enough to save for the next time.

Gives 2X magnification but turns sun orange

We enjoy these and use them for normal solar viewing and eclipses. The small amount of magnification makes a large enough difference over using regular paper-type glasses to be worth it. The ability to fold almost flat and then pop into shape is very clever. There are only 2 downsides, while other celestron products show the sun in its true color (white), the filters in these color the sun orange. Since many people think the sun is yellow or orange because the only time them can look at it is during a sunrise or sunset, maybe that won't bother them. It does eliminate seeing any blue features on the sun, but then the magnification is not that large anyway. The other small issue is people learning how to use them to A. get the image in focus and B. not see a double image. The trick is to squeeze and unsqueeze from the top and bottom of the cardboard, which moves the objective (front) lenses further and closer away from the eyepieces while relaxing your eyes. You will find the perfect spot and just hold it there. $13 for 2 is a good price.

These glasses made all the difference watching the eclipse. They magnified the sun’s size making it look twice as large as the folding solar glasses most people were using.

I read about these in a Wirecutter article; Amazon ran out but BB had them at a great price. We traveled to see totality and these viewers blocked the harmful light and also magnified the image. They fold up for storage and easily assemble for use. The cardboard is sturdy enough but I would re-fold them carefully when not in use.

Used these for the 2024 eclipse and they were great. Has a 2x magnifier so you see the sun a bit better. We had a pair of the normal glasses and these had the better view. You could see everything going on around you too, which happened with the normal glasses

These were freaking amazing! The zoom allows for a closer look at the eclipse without the worry of damaging your eyes. Much better than the paper and film glasses that you can purchase at the five-and-ten store

Excellent quality eclipse glasses/binoculars. The image was relatively clear and not distorted, compared with regular glasses. Best of all was the 2X magnification so you can see a larger image of the sun.

These were excellent viewing glasses for the eclipse. I especially liked the 2X magnification. You do have to hold them up with one hand like binoculars rather than hands-free over-your-ears glasses, but since I only viewed for short periods, this was not a problem. I only used one of the two pairs and won't need them again for several years. They were still worth the reasonable price I paid.
