Following an extensive search, I selected Cerwin Vega SL-12 speakers for my new A/V system which includes a Pioneer Elite receiver. Cerwin Vega has a reputation for great bass, but these 3-way speakers also provide great mid-range and highs. I have found no flaws in the black cabinets which separate the 12-inch woofers from the floor by 8 inches. Rubber feet adds to the isolation between the speakers and the floor. I highly recommend these speakers.

Starting over with a new stereo system with the SL series 12 inch floor speakers. These things will wake my neighbors up in the house next door. Moving it all to the basement so I can crank it up a little more! Very happy so far with the quality of the sound and the rich bass.

Great sound , both highs and lows at high and low volume levels. Nice to have bass again that you can feel on your pant leg

These speakers exceeded my expectations. The sound is so rich yet sharp, you could use it to peel potatoes. Easily the best sounding speakers I have ever owned, I am now filling out my sound system with this series.

got them yesterday and gave them the acid test they held up to what my pioneer amp can put out and passed. my amp don-est have the power at the top end to make them sound crisp. but they rocked enough to hear them out side the door of my home all the way to the sidewalk with the door closed. good enough for me. note will need to buy plug adapters for the speaker wire to plug into the speaker.
