Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the easy setup, Wi-Fi extender, indoor chime, and loudness of the Chime Pro. They appreciate the convenience of setting up the device through their phones, the added Wi-Fi coverage, the indoor chime feature, and the sufficient volume of the chime. On the other hand, customers are negative about the signal strength, range, effectiveness, price, and compatibility of the product. They complain about the lack of improvement in signal strength, the limited range of the device, its ineffectiveness in improving connectivity, the relatively high price compared to other door chimes, and the fact that the Wi-Fi extension only works with Ring products.

Bought this after I bought a RING outdoor camera which is in an awkward location. I already had the RING Video Doorbell Pro which was getting the wi-fi signal with no problem. I'm enjoying the chime tone I selected - Dogs Barking - LOL! It works with either camera (motion or doorbell).

Does exactly what it says it does. Increased my signal strength by 25 points on Rings RSSI meter. Upper 60s to low 40s sometime into the 30s. Haven’t had issues with the ring. Alerts to motions and doorbell

This product from Ring really helps in the video world. It allows you to reach out beyond those places within your home. I would recommend this ring product to anyone.

I stay on the second floor. It extended my wifi signal downstairs and thru 2 doors and the picture qualuty and connection time is 100× better than it was before. The set up was a breeze for both the phone app and the ring doorbell

I brought it for the 2 ring floodlight Cams I have. What I wanted to do was have a different chime for each flood light but I'm still working on that. I'm not sure that you can do that but the chime is good. You have about 10 sounds to choice from. I've got barking dogs and it's sounds just like barking dogs. The pro is used when the ring product is a distance from the router.

Ok, so I was having some serious connectivity issues with my Ring doorbell. Especially when I tried to use the live view option. I watched tons of reviews for this Wi-Fi extender, and I just didn't believe it. Since I really need to know who is at the door of my house when I'm not there, I finally broke down and purchased this item. I have to say that this thing is a game changer! Since my Wi-Fi source is upstairs it no longer has the choppy connection video. I also don't have that long wait while the circle of connection turns until video shows. All I can say is that it works for me, and as I add more products I will add another extender downstairs far form the WiFi box.

Gave four stars because extender worked great at first then, about a week later it couldn’t connect to video doorbell anymore. I’m not sure if it’s the extender or my internet service. Easy to install. The extender is white with a glowing product name on it

This had trouble connecting to my video doorbell so I connected that to my router and used this to connect to my flood light. Now what’s odd is the video door bell was closer to this, so I’m confused by that. That said this works fine.

If your Ring device is loosing its WiFi connection all the time, then this may help. Put it between your Ring device and your Router and it will boost the signal. Also acts as a Chime if you desire. Dont expect a over whelming difference but it does work better than nothing.

This device works well and does what it says on the box. My only gripe is that I basically had to buy this range extender despite my home Wifi being able to reach my Ring doorbell, since there seems to be some kind of incompatibility between my Wifi access points and the Ring doorbell, so it drops connection throughout the day. With the Chime Pro, it maintains a solid connection and I am able to keep a continuous video feed. It just frustrates me that I should need to have this in the first place.

A must have for a strong signal

The Ring Chime Pro Wi-Fi Extender is necessary if you have Ring devices mounted outside your house and have a house bigger than the size of a standard postage stamp. I’m not sure why Ring devices seem to have such a time connecting to wi-fi? I mean, I can stand outside and get a full strong wi-fi signal on my iPad, yet the Ring device will say it’s a poor or average connection. With a Ring Chime Pro Wi-Fi Extender, this problem is solved. Simply spend an additional $50 for an Extender, plug it in, and never again have to worry about a Poor or Average connection – the single strength increases to Good. A benefit of this extender is that it does add another speaker so motion alerts and doorbell presses can be heard wherever this device is plugged in. If this is an issue, the Ring app allows one to silence it. In my opinion, an Extender like this should be included with every Ring device to resolve the wi-fi connectivity issues. But oh well, buy it and go on with life.

This product does two things, 1 it’s a custom door Bell with many sound options 2 it extends the WiFi signal for your Ring door bell camera, and it does really work!!!

    Good Product Concept

The product concept is good. I'm not sure that I need the extender, but I purchased it to be prepared. My one concern is that when I tried to link it to my Ring flood lights, it appeared that the system wanted me to setup the flood light again. I did not want to do that so the flood light is not connected to the chime extender. My flood light works very well and therefore is probably getting sufficient wifi signal. No other concerns and I do recommend the product.

I have a wifi dead spot outside my front door. This device did the trick to extend the wifi although I still get a poor signal indication. It allowed my Ring Video doorbell to work flawlessly and the programmable chime is perfect. I would have give a 5-star rating if it wasn't for the poor signal indication.
