This movie will genuinely blow your mind. Please watch it. I hope they eventually release it on 4K, and I wish this Standard Blu-Ray had a digital code and a slipcover…but I’m still a happy man to have this absolute TRIP of a film in my collection.

It's hard to put into words when the film really must be experienced. This film (based on the book) addresses the belief in the transmigration of souls and their development through life cycles. Thus, through the film actors are asked to play multiple roles even different genders. All were seriously excellent!

Futuristic view of people that are connected through time, lifetime after lifetime.

First of all this is not a children’s movie. There are some very disturbing situations and themes. There are time period shifts in the movie and it is very deep. It took me seeing it twice to fully understand it. The actors were incredible playing different parts and characters. Tom Hanks was brilliant in this. The plot is very complex in nature. If one likes deep movies that make you think, this is the one. If you want a relaxing film, this is not the one.

This film is so complex and deep it scares away 99% of the audience. Eternal Spirits like in Scientology or Marvel Comics explained but leaving some indigestion for modern viewers. Very cool idea and well executed by the MAKERS of The Matrix. Similar themes but more LOVE and less VIOLENCE! Check it out worth re-watching 99 times at least so by the DVD or BLU-RAY and pop it in every few years on a bad or good day.

I haven't seen this before. I suppose I stayed away from it due to the summary plot, thinking it wasn't that good. I was surprised how it went, with all the stories intertwined. It was confusing until I got it more than halfway thru. Then it all came together. Nice.

I've been wanting this movie ever since it came out in 2012 but got cold feet reading reviews of it at the time. Well, the holidays came, the price was right, I had some extra cash so I went ahead and bought it. All I can say is, if you're a fan of Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain", you'll probably enjoy "Cloud Atlas" whereas both jump around with their timelines. It may take you two or three viewings to follow the minor nuances of the storyline (that is, if you don't cheat and Google the plot.) It is a long movie, clocking in at almost three hours. It also shifts constantly from action to drama to science fiction. If you're the type that doesn't want to scratch your head after one viewing, you may want to pass on it. I personally found it engaging.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie with its back and forth storytelling throughout the different time periods. Loved the acting and found myself engrossed in each storyline, juxtaposing thriller aspects and humor.

Tom Hanks and Halle Berry are at their best, as their characters keep meeting at different junctions in time. A pleasing production, both visually and in the auditory.

Item was purchased as a gift so hasn't been opened, but it arrived ahead of schedule and in excellent condition.
