With how much controversy I’ve heard regarding the overheating issues I was hesitant to get this desktop but I decided to pull the trigger anyways. Relatively small desktop. After spending a few weeks with it I’m pretty happy with what this desktop offers. I have never personally had any issues with overheating to this point, the most intensive game I play is warzone and gpu plateaus at a solid 75 degree Celsius (take that as you will). Now if you do choose to improve the airflow (only comes with two fans, one of them being cpu cooler) it’s a fairly simple process but not a modification i found necessary to make at the time of writing this. Extremely easy to set up. With the current set up this desktop should be able to run a good majority of games at 80+ fps. Only modification I would make is the ram of course, after I got 16 gb of ram I get around 90 fps on Warzone (mix of high and low settings) I get around 200 fps on rainbow six siege (highest settings) and 120 fps on Destiny 2 (highest settings). Only legitimate bad thing about this PC is the fact that some key components are proprietary, power supply and motherboard. Good thing is that this model has 500 psu so it should last a bit. Given the current situation with the shortage of graphics cards this is a good starting point for a PC. Frames were achieved on 1080p. ***making it clear that this model comes with 8 GB of ram and the picture i uploaded has the new ram (2 x 8) not included with the PC.

I wanted something fast enough for my job, now that we work from home and it handles very well with the virtual desktop programs. Very quiet, love the light options on the Alienware center, can’t say about the gaming because I don’t intend on using it that way? But I’m sure it can run most games just fine. Just be mindful that it does only bring one HDMI PORT in the back and a DisplayPort...so if you want dual monitors like what I have set up, you will need a splitter. Other than that it’s pretty much plug and play, the instructions aren’t very descriptive just because there isn’t much set up. You just plug it in and it starts up, you put in your Microsoft info and there ya go....ready to use.

Although I'm new to PC gaming initially I was looking to build a PC rather than buying one. But with the current market on parts I decided it would be best to just buy a pre-built. I was a bit anxious on choosing which one to buy but I am glad I went with the dell. So far its been a great pc, running Forza, Valorant, GTA (modded servers), and even while streaming it proves to be a great PC well out performing my ps4 pro. Anyone that claims it overheats has to be sitting in a room that's already 80 degrees. I have played for 5-6 hours straight and both the cpu and gpu sit under 70 degrees. The Alienware app, and GeForce app easily walk you through settings and what you can run your games at. I really recommend this PC, especially if you're new to gaming.

Nice little gaming tower. Purchased it for our nephew and he's been very happy. Put an extra 8gb of ram in it and he's loving how all battle royal games run on it. Had zero problems so far. Got a young gamer looking for a nice tower? Keep this one in mind. Nice and affordable 1080p or 1440p gaming tower.

nice size, mid-tower, booted right up and seems to work smooth, I tried a game that was not working well with my old I7 processer and g-force GT. The Dell computer worked great no problems so far or issues. I did upgrade the memory to 16g. for the prices, seems to be a good entry level gaming machine.

Very Good Product!

Very good product! Mostly works silently unless I open a more graphically demanding game (such as Second Life), which seems to cause it to kick into turbo - as the two fans that cool the inner workings kicks in and then it sounds like a mini weed eater a bit.
The 1TB was a bit lacking in full GBs - short by around 20- 25 GBs to fulfill the 1TB capacity it claims to have. The remaining 256 GBs are in the smaller C (OS) hd and work well. The (D) Data is the one which contains the 1TB capacity ... and still trying to find a way to switch over downloading onto C to D instead, so I don't have to delete and re-install my games each time in order to play them.
Otherwise it is an amazing PC and I especially LOVE the windowed and LED lit interior, as well as the easy possibility that should I wish to further add another memory stick to it I can do so.

I purchased the Ibuypower prebuilt PC beforehand because it was cheaper and it was dissapointing when I turned it on and didn't see the load screen. I took it back and got the G5 that I really wanted for an additional $170 bucks. I realized it was all worth it when I saw an actual load screen. The whole family loves it and utilizes the computer. We play games like Roblox,Sims, DCS flight simulation and my favorite, the series of Half-life. Enjoy your G5 gaming PC.

I have had my Dell G5 for nearly 3 years now. Also, I have had Dell Desktops exclusively for over 20 years now. I have never had a problem with any of them. Dell is my only recommendation for a PC!

I use mine for video production, and my gaming needs are pretty minimal. I expanded the RAM to 32 GB and installed a 6 TB hard drive as soon as I set it up. Remember is that this computer can only accommodate one additional 3.5 inch drive, so anything else must be 2.5 inch format. I am glad to have the security of a Dell. I only rely on Dell and HP, as I expect them to be conservatively engineered.

Fantastic PC! It’s fast, quiet, and has a nice video card. The case lighting and software to control the lights is a nice touch, if you’re into that sort of thing. Cooling fans are relatively quiet despite other reviews claiming they’re loud. Would be a perfect PC if it had a cd/dvd rom drive or at least a slot to add one.

Right out of the box I have been pleased. Very good Computer for the comparably light gamer. Has a good GPU. The 1660 Super is plenty.
Yea, you could build from scratch, but if you are a light gamer like myself, this PC will serve you well. Note: it is good to download Easy Driver to update all your drivers. Also, the mother is open to a couple upgrades. (ram, m.2 SSD, 2 SSD slots on top horizontal)
