So we have been waiting a while since this technology was introduced to get one of these types of "fryers". So we have cooked a couple dishes with it so far.
Pros:
* Very Well Constructed, not a piece of plastic
* Looks GOOD on the counter, well sized
* Food cooked, does turn out crunchy and HOT
* is healthier, as little to NO oil is used
Cons:
* Takes a long time.. Single batch of egg-roles takes 20-25 minutes. nearly 5 times the amount of time in a traditional fryer
* Limited batch size; depending on what you cook, may not be enough for a family of 4, let alone a family event
* Loud; It isn't quite, the fan running is louder then you would think
* Doesn't turn off automatically... has a timer, but the heating elements have to be turned off by hand
* Learning curve.. This really wasn't a plug and go, took us a bit of time to read and research a bit to use it properly

I'm not much of a cook and depend on microwaves for too many things.
That being said, I've cooked more things in this then I have with anything else in years. It's easy to use, and very easy to clean. Cleaning up was always the main reason for my lack of wanting to cook.
Fries came out awesome and I only used store bought out of a bag. I still need to try slicing my own potatoes for this. I'm sure they'll be even better.
Stir fry vegetables came out fantastic but chicken wings are what's going to have me coming back again and again.
I wish it had a better timer and an actual clock. Took a while to figure out what to do with the pop out clock it came with. I really don't like that at all but it's certainly not a deal killer.
Came with small, hardcover cookbook so I plan to try out some things I never would have attempted in the past.
Overall, this is a very useful gadget. And it will get lots of use in my kitchen.

The DeLonghi Multifry and Multicooker is great for anyone from college student to self proclaimed chef. It is a simple device and very easy to use. The included mixing paddle allows for a variety of different meals which most friers do not include. DeLonghi also has their own recipe book which I have used all week long to prepare my dinners from caramelized salmon to something as simple as fresh fries. The step by step cook book that is provided is easy to follow and even a beginner like me could prepare a great meal. The paddle is easy to remove if it isn't necessary and overall simplicity and ease is the best selling point for this frier/cooker. I loved it, my family loved it, and I'm sure you will love it too.

The unit is top of the line, however you can accomplish most of what it does with appliances you already own. The cost of the unit (over $200)) is not worth the features it offers.

A true multi cooker

The name sums up this appliance, it is truly a multi cooker. You can fry, cook, bake and broil your food and dishes. The frying part is nice, you can add much less oil than a typica fryer. The food, for me, came out nice and crisp and had a nice taste. It is nice to be able to be in control of how much oil goes into a recipe when a fryer is needed.
You can also use the cooker as a crock pot. We made some nice pulled pork. We also steamed vegetables and they came out crisp too and not over cooked. The cooker allows you to see the food from the top which is helps to make sure the food has not been over cooked. It also has a automatic stirrer which was very helpful when frying food. The stirrer helped prevent oil burns. You can take out the stirrer if you need more room to cook an item too.
You can also download an app for other recipes that work great with the multi cooker. Clean up was very easy and quick. A great cooker isn’t truly great if it does not clean up easily. The unit was also cool to the touch while cooking too, which help avoid unnecessary burns.
It is a rather large counter appliance, but because it has so many uses it may end up on my counter top permanently. If you are looking for a true multi cooker this is a great appliance to have.

Great Multi-Fryer

Ok, don't buy this Fryer thinking that you can make Southern Fried Chicken with little to no oil, because you can't. But, it's really close. I used this multi-fryer to make non breaded hot wings and they were pretty darn good. Cooked up in about 30 mins with about 2 tablespoons of oil. Next I cooked breaded pork tenderloin using the same amount of oil, and they turned out just like cooking them in a skillet. The multi-Fryer will come to you with a recipe book and a booklet to tell you how long it will take for various foods to cook. It also will tell you whether or not to use the included paddle which turns the food items when cooking. Overall I really like this Multi-fryer. I would have given it 5 stars if it could Southern fry a chicken.

A Little Bit of Oil Goes a Long Way

I hadn't owned an air fryer before and wondered just how they would do with french fries. I made them twice with this--it was every bit as easy and tasty as they claimed. It took 20 minutes to cook enough fries for 3 people and they were far superior to anything you buy to cook in the oven. I learned to turn the bottom heat off and the top heat to 1 for 10 minutes extra to give the fries an even crispier surface. You can use either/or the bottom or top heating source and mixing blade in any number of combinations to cook just about anything. I tried some stir-fried onions and peppers in it and they were also excellent. There is absolutely nothing complicated or limiting to this thing. The parts are all washable.
This model is priced a bit higher than some in this field but this one holds a pretty large amount of food. Way more than just for two like some air fryers.

The advertisement says “The versatile De'Longhi Multi-Fry Air Fryer MultiCooker allows you to easily cook, bake, and broil for delicious meals. Easily prepare fresh fries, sauces, steaks, salmon, pizzas, and more with minimal added oil.” Could that really be true? If so, that would make my life so much easier. So I put my new Multi-Fryer to the test.
LET’S CHECK IT OUT:
• Versatility: You can remove the paddle in the middle and gain more cooking space.
• Size: It's quite adequate for a small family and gives you more options than the conventional air fryers.
• Flavor: The food comes out pretty decent considering the low amount of fat it's being cooked in. Obviously the flavor is not the same as cooking & frying in fat but it's pretty good. It takes time to figure it how long things need to cook and at what temperature but it's easy to use.
• Cleaning: Make sure you hand wash it which is really easy. I just soak in water with a bit of soap and few hours later any stuck on bits are gone. Removable parts can go into the dishwasher if you prefer, but I always like a little “soak” with everything I first throw into my dishwasher. The surface is a non-stick, ceramic surface. No metal touches the food.
• My pet peeve with oil: I do not like to use oil in my house. It splatters. Difficult to clean. Sticky. Smells. My family doesn’t understand how to use oil properly or to take precautions, so all the adults that are cooking in my kitchen really irks me when they start to use oil, or even spray oils! They have no idea. On the glass. On the counters. On the floor, stove, refrigerator, etc. All over!!! The air fryer saves me a headache with the oil and spray issue! Hey, now with this MultiCooker, we’re now talking about 1 TBSP for 2.2 lbs. of French fries. The oil stays inside the unit and not all over my stove, counters, floor, walls and cabinets. My absolute pet peeve is now under control!!! LOL
The BIGGEST ASSET: Baking cakes without turning on the oven and heating the whole house up. Has to be an energy bonus for the summer folks who hate turning on their oven during the hot months (like I do).
THE SCOOP:
• Low-oil fryer
• Multicooker. Broils, fries, bakes
• Low-fat diet friendly
• Perfect for those who eat Diabetic Diets or Low Carb Diets.
Just prep and add everything for 1-2 meals. Think turkey chili or Vegetable bisque. Quick version of meat sauce or even a veggie sauce. Think boneless chicken cacciatore. For those who are hearty low-carb folks, broiled steak, chicken, fish. Ever have broiled broccoli with broiled garlic crumbles? I’m not a by any means. Don’t know my way around kitchens, but I try with the little time I have each day. I improvise and perfect on good things. If I buy a bag of turkey meatballs and use store-bought spaghetti sauce, I still ramp it up with my own choice of spices before cooking or serving. Nothing fancy and not a mess.
• Mixing automatic paddle which is also removable. Save the stirring for the paddle!
• 60 ounce/1.8 quart capacity
• Heats from all surfaces except the top. Not a only a bottom cooker. My crockpot does that and DOESN’T have a paddle!
• Ceramic no-stick surface. Boil cheese on the bottom and just wipe away! No metal touches your food.
SUMMARY:
This is my new best friend. I spent a lot of money eating out or ordering in because I have NO TIME to prep the meals my family wants and what I am able to do. It fits a busy lifestyle, it gives me the versatility I need with our varied diets in this house and the food tastes awesome without the mess.

To begin I must admit I was unsure of the purview or how to even work it. I read the instruction, the small-included cookbook, and even sought the manufactures website. Obviously, my wife was not present and she did not have the same issues using it to its full potential I originally did. I however, was all thumbs so to speak and just could not figure it out. I am pretty technologically inclined but I was quite perplexed when it came to my initial use of this Thing. Again, I read everything and then my nine year old son and I choose chicken nuggets as the trail run (just in case we ruined them :^). I found cooking recipes for frozen chicken nuggets on the company website. I added 1 table spoon of extra virgin olive oil (I was sure I was not doing this right at this point), meticulously placed the dino shaped nuggets in the pan, closed the lid, set the little yellow dial to 4 as directed, popped the timer out, set it for 18 minutes (just a bit too long for thinner nuggets), and hit the heating button. We paced back and forth and oh' and ah'd while listening to it work. We then prepped some sides for our trial cuisine. When the buzzer chimed, we turned the fryer off and opened it up to see what we had created (well kind of). THEY WERE FANTASTIC! Even slightly overcooked; they were still great, as if straight out of a restaurant fryer (again kind of, lol). The next experiments have gone even better (especially when my who again took to it like a duck to water cooks). The health benefits aside, it is so nice to clean up afterward. Gone are the days of pouring grease into an old coffee can. Dinner had become a bit drab in our house but as cliché as it sound, the cooker has made dinner time a game of creation.

First off, this multi-cooker is loud when it runs, but I suppose it needs to be that way in order to do what it does best....make fantastic food! I made a whole large pack of chicken wings in 45 minutes! It would take over an hour in the oven and they were so tasty. There wasn't a greasy mess either and clean up was a breeze.

I'm a athlete, so I try to eat healthy. However, man does not live by whole grains alone, which is why I decided to try the DeLonghi MultiFry. At least, I reasoned, I could feel better about eating fried foods. I'll admit I was skeptical when I read you could fry potatoes in just 1 tablespoon of oil. But I was pleasantly surprised that not only does the DeLonghi MultiFry do what it claims, the fries were as good as any I've ever cooked in a pot of oil. And if you like stir fry, this thing is very convenient. Just throw everything in the bowl and the mixing paddle stirs it for you while it cooks. DeLonghi even has a recipe app with tons of things you can make with the MultiFry.
I'm not usually a fan of kitchen gadgets that take space on the counter or in the pantry, but this is a useful, time-saving product that helps you eat healthier. It's definitely worth the storage space.

We love this fryer

There are days we use this 2 or even 3 times. Do yourself a favor and search youtube for a channel named Booger500us. We get a lot of ideas from her channel and we tweak them to suit our needs. This device is easy to clean so we use it often. It is easier to experiment with this device because you can cook practically anything. Every meal we have made with this fryer has turned out great. I’m convinced it is impossible to ruin meat in this fryer because it is always tender and juicy.
The mixing paddle is rather difficult to remove but only the first few times. Pop it off and back on a few times and it gets easier quickly. They now offer a completely smooth bottom pan without the little nub that drives the paddle. I can only find them on the DeLonghi website. We really haven’t had a problem with the nub when we make meals without the paddle. It is easy enough to work around but it can be tricky to get clean. We hold the pan at 90 degrees and spray really hot water at the center of the pan and it flushes it out well.
We love how breaded items turn out with this fryer. So crunchy and never greasy, always tender and hot in the middle. Our favorite of all is spicy sausage stuffed in medium-large mushroom caps and then flour, egg wash, spicy breadcrumb mix with Parmesan cheese breading. Our teenage son grabs this fryer and cooks himself really nice meals, sometimes he shares. We have had this fryer since last July. If it died tomorrow I would not hesitate buying another one.

Easy to use but average results

So we've had this low-oil multicooker/fryer for a little while now and have had a chance to try a few different things with it with mixed results. I will say, however, that the device is extremely easy to use so long as you follow the guidelines in the manual.
The first thing we tried were some onion rings and we followed the instructions from the manual exactly as specified. It called for no oil and no paddle, which I can understand as the paddle would probably break up the onion rings as they started to soften. However, the onion rings themselves came out a bit mushy despite being clearly cooked through and even browned (had we left them in longer they would have burned). They tasted fine, it was just not a desirable result for crisp onion rings that you'd expect out of a fryer.
The second thing we tried were some fries, which called for low oil and to include the paddle. The results were a little bit better, but again still a little on the mushy side despite being cooked through.
Where this cooker really did well however was the banana bread we baked in it. It was baked thoroughly without burning and tasted great. Just be aware that due to the size of the cooking container that it may take a decent amount of batter to give you more than an inch tall banana bread. I can imagine a cake would likely be done very well in this device.
As for other features. The pop out clock that you can take with you is nice, though a little confusing to operate, it appears to have no off button as hitting the button to stop it just starts it with a new time. The clock is completely separate from the appliance and it going off does not stop the cooking, you still need to go shut it off. It is simply held in the side of the device for convenience.
Overall, the device while easy to use is a little average or below average on the cooking results. I'll be trying other things in it, but really unless you're looking to save on the amount of oil you use or consume, this will not give you the results you prefer from a 'fryer'.

I’ve been considering an air fryer for some time and glad I got the DeLonghi MultiFry.
What sets the DeLonghi apart from the others are two heating elements, one fan forced on the top and a 2nd element on the bottom of the machine to heat products from both sides. and it has a stirring blade that spins around the cooking bowl to move the product for even cooking.
There is also an included cook book which has some great looking recipes that I will be trying.
The top fan forced element has 4 heat settings and the bottom is either on or off.
There is a small timer recessed in the front of the unit which is removable so you can take it with you to keep track of the time. It does not shut off the cooker.
The cooking bowl has a fold down handle that pops up to remove the bowl from the unit. And the mixing blade pops out of the bowl so you can make baked items, although I didn’t try this yet.
The first thing I made with it was store-brand frozen tater tots thinking they would turn out pretty good; not so much. As the tots began thawing and cooking, the spinning blade just pushed them around, ultimately making crumbles rather than tots. Some shredded cheese and the microwave solved this problem though. The taste was good, the presentation was a bit lacking.
My second attempt with the MultiFryer was frozen meatballs and spaghetti sauce. This worked better. The meatballs got a nice crust on them, then I added a jar of sauce and let it simmer. Not as fast as stove top but the meatballs had a better bite to them.
Finally, what seems to be the products namesake, French fries. I cut two all-purpose potatoes and placed them in the bowl, used about 2 tablespoons of oil, put the top heat on 4 and the bottom heat on. The fries came out ok, some were nice and crispy but a small bunch did not. These were the fries that just rode around the bowl; pushed by the spinning blade. It didn’t have enough umph I guess to actually toss them so they got stuck in the heap. They were cooked and edible, just not as crispy.
I like the DeLonghi MultiFryer and am looking to try many of the items in the cook book. I don’t like that the heat is adjusted 1-4 and not by temperature and I don’t like the timer. It’s cute and tells time but I would have preferred it to shut the machine off. DeLonghi says you can make pizza and bake cakes in it but not sure what happens with the flat nipple that holds the agitator arm for these. It also takes a long time to cook fries but considering warm up time for an oil fryer, it is probably a wash.
I would recommend this product, especially for someone who wants to be creative and try different foods to put it through its paces. Also, if there are not enough recipes to suit your taste, search YouTube for it, there is a user who has videos on a bunch of recipes that show what this unit can do.

This review is for DeLonghi - MultiFry 1.8-Quart Multi Cooker. I never had a multi cooker before and this is my first one. Was skeptical before using this. But it has changed my experience for good. It comes with clear instructions manual and a recipe book if you want to try few things. First thing I tried is making fries. Easy steps and oil is not even required. It has the convenience of the slow cooker added to a cooking pan. It is quick and easy to clean as well. There is a timer included with the unit. But it doesn’t do auto off of the cooker. It is more like a reminder. It can cook food for 5 people easily. Be careful opening the lid or touching the other parts, this one gets really hot. This one heats up the food from top as well as from the bottom. Overall, it is a wonderful design and very well built. Highly recommend this one as your next air fryer.

After my introduction to air frying using another product, the De’Longhi MultiFry Multi Cooker offered an opportunity to experience a different approach to the process. It turned out to be a welcome one.
Once I got the MultiFry, I lifted the box to the clanking sound of a loose item inside. I immediately had an Ace Venture Pet Detective flashback while wondering what was loose inside. I opened the box, pulled the cooker out, and noticed it was a piece that I would later come to know as the ‘paddle’ knocking around inside. Didn’t have any tape on it or anything – maybe something to consider. The MultiFry had average packaging, Styrofoam in tow, but was very tight and well protected. The device has a larger footprint than other air fryers, but I have come to learn that is a good thing. In fact, because of my previous experiences, the first thing I noticed was the large 8 inch pan/basket. This was a welcome sight, as other air fryers have proven to not cook thoroughly when food is stacked. There is plenty of space in the MultiFry to put a decent single layer of meats down for cooking. The device is very well built and sturdy, and is very simple to disassemble and clean. Also in the box were a small instruction booklet and a full, hardbacked cookbook. The book has a little over 100 pages, but that’s due to language translations. There are actually about 35 pages of recipes. A very nice touch.
Setting up the MultiFry was very easy and quick. It has the look of a device with a bit of complexity, but the decision to not be too simple is what makes it special. The instructions provide a detailed chart on how to set the MultiFry for various cooking scenarios. This thing is very flexible. It can provide heat to food from both the top and bottom – controlled by the user. That’s a welcome change to the single heat approach – relying solely on creating a heat chamber. This gives flexibility to cook many types of foods in different ways. Then, to top it off, they have added a paddle that automatically stirs or turns foods when necessary. No more issues of uncooked food when you have to stack. Nuggets, potatoes, veggies – you name it! Truly a good cooking experience. Add to that the fact that you can see your meal while it’s cooking – a wonderful design move that makes even more of a difference in the MultiFry’s favor. My first meal? Chicken strips. Temp = 4, bottom heat = yes, paddle = no (settings from the instruction manual). I didn’t add a drop of oil. The MultiFry did an absolute excellent job! Crispy outside, tender inside, and cooked on both sides. It’s just great at delivering results. Clean up was very straightforward and simple.
The De’Longhi MultiFry seems to the go to air fryer. It simply offers functionality that not only eliminates some of the issue faced when using other air fryers, but is very well built and produces consistent results. This is a no brainer in my opinion.

So I have cooked a few things in this air fryer now, and everything has come out great! The size of the pan is perfect. Not too little, enough for plenty of helpings. I will admit I was intimidated at first, it's big and has multiple buttons, but after reading the instructions it was super easy to get started and cooked quickly. I like that you can just pull the pan out to wash it, and the handle that clicks in place is a nice touch. It does push out some heat, but not as much as using the oven would. I really like this new kitchen gadget and can't wait to cook more in it. I would definitely recommend it.

My first time owning a fryer so I did not know what to expect. It uses little to no additional oil which is great for healthier cooking. There is a power meter to indicate heating intensity. I wish there was a temperature readout; that would have made this thing closer to perfect. Can hold up to 60 oz of food and is easy to clean with the non stick ceramic interior. There is a built in interior mixing paddle that is great for stirring the food while cooking! I am enjoying it so far and recommend people giving it a serious try.

I was very excited to get this and the excitement was well deserved. This fryer is great. For anyone looking for a healthy alternative to frying this is totally is. We used no oil at all and ended up with fries that tasted like they were from a fast food place actually better. It's easy to use with straightforward directions. If I had to find something I would change about it, I guess I would find a way to make it quieter. It's not terrible loud by any means but still it does make noise. I would recommend this to anyone.
