The FPV Remote Controller 3 makes it easier to fly in Auto mode and allows you to fly in manual mode. Tip: Don’t forget to unlock the spring tension on the left joystick to fly in manual mode and set the Flight Mode Switch for manual flying. This remote also works with Liftoff on PC and Mac. Overall, this is a good product for the Avata 2.

Lightweight and packable. Hall sensor gimbals. It’s hard not to love. The control link is sent to the drone using the goggles, genius. Great battery life. Lanyard ready.

It’s very responsive but I do wish there was more compatibility to other devices.

This is so much more challenging and realistic then the controller that came with my avada 2. Would recommend getting this remote to anyone wanting to experience flying

The DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 is an excellent piece of gear for drone enthusiasts. Its ergonomic design feels great in your hands, making long sessions comfortable. The controls are highly responsive, offering precise inputs that make flying smooth and intuitive. The build quality is solid, with durable materials that inspire confidence. Pairing with the drone and other components is seamless, and the connection is stable without noticeable lag. However, one downside is the lack of customization options for some buttons, which would have been a nice touch for advanced users. Additionally, it would be great if it came with a carrying case for added convenience. Overall, it’s a fantastic remote controller that enhances the FPV experience, especially for DJI drones. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced pilots alike!

Was super easy to bind with my Avata 2, and works flawlessly! Now I just need to get more practice in order to unlock all the magic this controller & drone combo are capable of! Definitely would recommend buying this in order to take your Avata 2 to the next level.

I bought this to use on liftoff simulator. At first I had problem with calibrating the controller. however, I was able to fix the problem after watching hours of YouTube videos.

I’m very impressed with this controller. Super lightweight and a must for FPV drones. Also wonderful to use on FPV simulator.

I love it, I think DJI could improve in some parts but overall I love it, maybe the sticks should be a little longer but that’s my preference, I still use them for my manual mode flights, when used in normal / sports mode it helps you with those cinematic scenes with the gimbal control plus the sticks that it’s hard to achieve with the motion controller

It takes some getting used to, but the control is phenomenal. The range is excellent. I went out over a mile and was in no danger of losing signal.

If you are a thumb pilot or accustomed to using game controllers, this may be the best style controller for you. Offering customizable buttons and plenty of controls to handle the Avatas and for anyone wishing to progress into manual, full control flight, this controller is an absolute must have. The downside for me is, because I fly by "pinching" the sticks and my grip on the controller, it is tricky not to accidentally engage a button or control switch with my other fingers. For most FPV pilots, these controllers offer better handling and are far more preferred over the motion controller, in fact, my motion controller hasnt been out of the case since my remote controller 3 arrived.

However,  DJI does need evidence (flight records and flyaway report) to confirm the true occurrence of the accident. Best regards, Eva DJI Customer Care Team (Original letter to DJI) My experience with DJI customer service with a Flyaway case--CAS-19230357-B1Y0H0 The amount of kind but in the end meaningless words such as we are sorry, we understand and we will do the best, did not equate to the service provided and I am to elaborate. I invested into a number of DJI products including action 4 and action 5, Osmo 6, mini pro 4, integra goggles, Neo, and avata 2, also purchasing a 2 year fly away refresh program for the 3 drones. I liked the products and then the day came when one of them flew away, that was avata 2 and I had to  deal with DJI customer service.  It began with a representative who assisted me with extracting fly data from the integra goggles. We found out thru various legion of steps that the data was not synced between the avata 2 and the integra goggles. The rep came to conclusion that the only way to provide the proof of a downed avata 2, was to directly put the phone camera to the lenses of integra goggles and record the last view before avata 2 went down and provided me the link to submit it. I have submitted the video file as directed.  Time passed and I contacted the chat support for progress update and was told that the previous rep was wrong and the solution that was provided is not good and we need to try data extraction again. So we went thru the step that were done with the previous rep again to no avail and next was to ship me an OTG cable. Time passed by and I received the cable and contacted DJI support again and we went thru the same step over again with no new solution. A rep asked me if I would ship the integra goggles to DJI to do that themselves and I shipped it to DJI for their expertise on extracting data.  Next, I was contacted by DJI support and was told that they can’t extract the data, what a surprise, however there is more. A DJI rep told me the integra goggles need to be repaired and I would have to purchase a new Avata 2, even though I have purchased the 2 year fly away refresh warranty.  I have followed the directions of every rep to realize I am being pushed into buying another avata 2. Anyone considering investing into the DJI equipment will realize this too and  await the DJI support to do the same to them if it would ever happen and the probability for this to happen, is very high and so is to be left to fend for yourself.

I was nervous at first to switch to this controller after using the motion controller that came with the Avata 2, but to my surprise, it is extremely easy to make the change, and in fact, I feel safer using this controller. Solid, quality construction, a bit like an oversized xbox controller. Just make sure to learn where the critical buttons are before tossing on the goggles!

Not the most versitile controller for other FPV drones but it is very nice to use. Much smaller than others, good battery life and a nice feel

long range, and super easy to adjust, over all really a nice controller.

Absolutely the best way to control the Avata 2. You get a lot more control in full manual without attitude limit.

Works like a charm. You can get extenders for the sticks. Need to adjust tension on left stick so it does not center when flying manual. Yhey provide tool for that.

At first i wasn’t sure about this controller, but the more i handle it and fine tune it i love this thing.
