    A Fantastic Drone

I had to wait quite some time for this drone, but the wait was worth it. The drone is light and very responsive and being under 250g is a plus since there’s less restrictions at this weight range. The great thing is how DJI was able to add all these features in such a small drone and being able to finally record at 4k60 in a mini series drone is awesome. One feature that attracted me to this drone was the obstacle avoidance. Something the Mini 2 was missing. Being able to fly carefree knowing that I have an extra level of protection is a great feeling. While the drone doesn't give a full 360 degree protection since it doesn't have side sensors. The front, back and bottom sensors are plenty. Something else that adding these sensors brought is FocusTrack and additional Quickshots. Dragging a box over yourself or an object allows the drone to track you or that object utilizing the sensors to make sure it protects itself while keeping you in frame. Also, it creates great videos with MasterShots which keep whatever is selected in the center and does preset movements which create a short cinematic video. The camera ability to turn to 90 degrees to allow portrait mode. Also, allowing it to pitch upwards angle of 60 degrees. Now the portrait mode is a good reminder of the Mavic Pro. Seeing the same feature on Mini 3 is great also a smart addition seeing how we're in a time where portrait shots and videos are getting more and more common. Just with a click of a button the camera will rotate sideways and allow portrait mode. Giving the full great resolution the drone has to offer. Without the need to cropping photos or videos like in the past with drones without this feature. It gives more unique photos at different views and a chance for drone pilots to express their creativity in a different way. The same can also be said about the allowing a 60 degrees upwards rotating angle. I didn't know how great this feature was until I filmed some great low shots and being able to rotate upwards and seeing all of a tall structure. DJI is really pushing these features giving many different options on how to film and present videos and photos. The controller with the screen is a must for me. Being able to pull out the drone and the controller then just click two buttons. (One on the drone and one on the controller) and you're for takeoff. Compared to the regular N1 controller which uses a mobile device. You would have to unwrap the cord, plug it in to the phone, pull and set the phone in the controller stand, switch to the app and then you'll be able to start it up. The RC controller with the screen has a nit brightness of 700 which is very bright. I didn't even have it on full brightness for the first few days I was using it and had no problem seeing the display. Another great thing about the controller with the screen compared to the regular one is most phones decrease the brightness once it heats up which usually will happen when you're outside with in the sun making visible tough and straining on the eyes. While with this controller the brightness is set by you and will not change at all. Giving you the full bright display the whole time. Overall, this a great drone and I'm certain that those that choose to purchase it will be satisfied. Now there is an issue that I want to bring up about the drone and that's the range. My first range test I was able to fly 6000M which is great, and I had no issues and if I had remembered to fully charge the battery, I'd been able to go further. Another test in a different area only allowed me to go about 1100M before signal issues occurred. So, I'd say this is an issue depending on the area you're in. DJI been releasing updates frequently so hopefully the issue will be fix and we'll be able to have more consistent far range flights. As I said before this is a great drone. If you are a beginner, it's great for you as well for those that are more experienced. The video is smooth and crisp and I'm sure you'll enjoy the drone as much as I have and will in the future.

When I first opened the box I was a little concerned about my purchase. I had doubt that it was worth the price paid. After the first 10 or so flights, my concern and doubt diminished. Everything about this drone is amazing, from the picture quality to the various options of camera and flight modes is incredible. Also, the flight time of 30+ minutes and obstacle avoidance function is totally accurate. What surprised me the most is how easy it is to operate. I would say that the only specification that is not accurate is the distance the drone can reach and still have a good connection to the RC, I‘m sure it could reach 10 KM’s in a perfect scenario, however that doesn’t happen often in real life. With all considerations this drone deserves 5 stars hands down, and is worth every penny.

A very capable, light, compact and quiet drone. Good for someone's first drone, good for someone who needs a budget friendly, very compact and capable all around drone or good for someone who is specifically looking for a smaller or quieter drone such as myself. I already own a Mavic 3 Classic, but the M3C is loud due to the larger more powerful motors and larger props, and I wanted something that I could use to get shots that I need in more populated/busy areas or at lower altitudes with people around without everybody in the shot looking up into the sky and searching around to see if they can see the drone. Not really great if you are trying to get a natural video of an area where people happen to be, such as a popular tourist attraction or various events and gatherings..... The camera on this drone is really good for the size. In such a small compact camera they managed to squeeze out 4K at 60FPS and have it look very very good, with great colors right from the camera without having to shoot in RAW format and play with the colors, shadows and highlights in post. Most people using this drone will be more than satisfied even just using it in it's "auto" mode. I really like the fact that with this gimbal design, the camera is able to aim upward at quiet a steep angle, allowing you to get very unique shots of subjects or shots of the underside of something like a bridge. Also it has a vertical/portrait mode where you can get portrait (taller rather than wider) shots without it cropping the image and losing resolution, as the entire camera turns sideways in the gimbal. Very nice for getting up close to tall subjects, and using the previously mentioned ability to aim the camera farther upward, to get very unique and amazing shots. The drone is very capable in the air, even though it weighs less than 250 grams. There is no issue flying this drone in moderate winds of 10-15 MPH and even with gusts, the drone and gimbal do a great job at keeping the shot stable. I personally flew this drone while there were close to 20 MPH winds out and gusts that were much worse, and I didn't have any problem at lower altitude. At higher altitude you might get a "strong wind advisory", letting you know that you might not be able to return home due to wind, but all you need to do in this circumstance is drop you altitude and pay attention to your forward speed to make sure you're making progress... There are actually videos of this drone being able to hover in place in 35 MPH winds on mountain sides.. Flight time for this drone, depending on the wind can be around 40-45 minutes.. I haven't personally timed any of my flights, but coming from my previous drones such as the Mavic 2 Pro, Air 2S, Mini and Mini 2, the battery life of this drone with the new battery technology is amazing and you get crazy long flight times. The controller that comes with the Mini 3 Pro is very nice with the built in touch screen. The screen is more than bright enough to view in direct sunlight. It features customizable buttons that you can set to perform various tasks such as re-centering the gimbal or setting the hyperlapse cruise control speed. This drone and controller have very good reception as well, allowing you to fly quiet a ways away.. Obviously it won't be right up at the quoted spec depending on your area because of interference from things like trees, buildings, power lines and whatnot, but it's more than enough to fly off t least 1/2 mile, to a mile or two away in order to get the shot you want if you can't just travel there to launch. For example, if you want to fly over water to another coast line, or follow a roadway or railroad track to get long lasting shot along side of the object, Simply put, if you are either looking for your first drone, or you want a very very capable drone that isn't going to break the bank, and will also be a lot quieter than the other drones, go with this drone.

Love the Mini 3 pro, I upgraded from a mini 2 and I’m glad I had. I had crashed my mini 2 into a wall when I was flying and had accidentally gotten too close, meanwhile the Mini 3 Pro tells me the distance to close objects and warns me if I get too close. My only issue with the mini 3 pro so far is if you fly in a warning zone that needs authorization in order to fly, you might need a Wi-Fi connection on your remote in order to request it. Around 30 min of flight and around an hour to charge the battery so you can fly quite a bit. There are updates/setup so plan ahead on your first flight, I can’t fully test the range as I live close to a area I can’t fly in, so I’m limited by location not by the drone, but I’ve reached 400m high and about 900m out and I didn’t have a single issue or hiccup.

This little drone is easy to fly and has a lot of features built in for suck a small drone like time lapse, active track, waypoints, and return to home at the push of a button or if you somehow lose signal to the drone. The controller is super comfortable and and a great addition to the drone without having to have your phone out and linked to the drone so you can literally be up in the air and flying within one minute of unfolding and turning the drone and controller on. Sun 250 gram was a must for me to avoid the headache of having to register the drone. Flight time was around 30ish minutes with the regular battery which is more than enough for me a better battery can be had for this drone that will net more bird time. Flights are effortless pictures are clear and I love it I recommend this drone to everyone who ask me about it.

First and foremost, the DJI Mini 3's size and weight are truly remarkable. Weighing just over 250 grams, it falls in the ultra-light category, which means it's not subject to registration requirements in many countries. This makes it incredibly portable and easy to carry around, fitting comfortably in the palm of your hand or in a small bag. Despite its small size, the Mini 3 boasts impressive flight performance. Equipped with enhanced motors, it can reach a top speed of 16 meters per second and withstand winds of up to 24 kilometers per hour. The drone offers a stable flight experience, capturing smooth and steady footage even in moderately windy conditions. The camera quality on the DJI Mini 3 is outstanding. It features a 12-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K video at 30 frames per second. The footage is sharp, detailed, and vibrant, with excellent color reproduction. The three-axis gimbal stabilization ensures that the footage remains steady, even during quick maneuvers or in windy conditions. Additionally, the drone supports panorama mode and can capture stunning 180-degree and wide-angle shots. The Mini 3's battery life is impressive, allowing for up to 30 minutes of flight time on a single charge. This is a significant improvement over its predecessor and gives users ample time to capture the desired shots without worrying about running out of power. The drone also comes with intelligent battery management, which provides real-time battery status, ensuring you're always aware of the remaining power. One of the standout features of the DJI Mini 3 is its array of intelligent flight modes. It offers QuickShots, which are pre-programmed flight paths that enable the drone to capture professional-quality shots with just a tap. It also includes GPS-based features like Return-to-Home, allowing the drone to automatically come back to its takeoff point if the signal is lost or the battery is low. The obstacle detection sensors help avoid collisions, enhancing the safety of your flights. The DJI Fly app, used to control the Mini 3, is user-friendly and intuitive. It provides access to various settings and flight modes, as well as a live video feed from the drone's camera. The app also offers a host of editing tools for quick and easy post-processing of your captured footage. In conclusion, the DJI Mini 3 is an exceptional drone that combines portability, performance, and advanced features into a compact package. Whether you're a beginner looking to explore aerial photography or an experienced pilot wanting a reliable and easy-to-use drone, the DJI Mini 3 delivers on all fronts. With its outstanding camera quality, stable flight performance, and intelligent flight modes, it's a top choice in its class.

I couldn't be more thrilled with my experience. Let me start by saying that the ease of use of this drone is truly remarkable. From the moment I took it out of the box, I found it incredibly intuitive to set up and fly. One of the standout features of this drone is its size and weight, which not only make it less restrictive in terms of regulations but also incredibly easy to carry around. Whether I'm hiking in the mountains or exploring a new city, I love that I can simply toss it into my bag and take it with me wherever I go. Having a remote with a built-in screen is an absolute game-changer. Not only does it provide a clear and crisp display of what the drone's camera is capturing, but it also means I don't have to use my phone's battery to fly my drone. Additionally, the battery life on the remote hardly ever requires me to charge it, which is a huge plus. The range of the remote is impressive, giving me the freedom to explore and capture stunning aerial footage from a distance. I also appreciate the collision avoidance feature, which has saved me from more than a few close calls during my flights. It's reassuring to know that the drone is looking out for obstacles and helping to keep both itself and my surroundings safe. The quality of the photos and videos that this drone captures is simply breathtaking. Whether I'm snapping aerial shots of landscapes or recording smooth, cinematic footage, the results never fail to impress. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience with this drone and remote control. They have exceeded all of my expectations, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a high-quality, user-friendly drone. One final note. DJI has now come out with the DJI Mini 4 Pro. This drone has all the features of the Mini 3 Pro but has significantly improved upon them. If you are in the market for a small drone and have the money I would recommend giving both a look before purchasing this otherwise fantastic drone.

Build Quality: No issues at all, feels almost toylike but this is due to staying under 250g. RC remote is wonderful and I highly recommend purchasing it with the drone. Range: Good, I never had any software or connection issues. Everything that was happening at launch no longer appears to be present. Camera quality: Fantastic, simply wonderful for the size of the sensor. Vertical shooting is fun and the ease of use while shooting cannot be understated this is great. The image stabilization when shooting video is next level considering the size and weight of the drone. You will not be disappointed. Battery life: I purchased the fly more kit and I never have ran out of battery life for all the shooting I’ve done. Having 30+ mins a battery and 2 more on standby gives me 0 anxiety about having enough time to get my shots. Noise: The mini 3 is significantly quieter than the prior generation due to the lower prop pitch. Making it much less of a public display when using in busy areas. Overall: Worth every cent if you plan on getting into drone photography with as many features and the highest quality for the dollar.

I have only had this Mini 3 Pro for about a week but all I can say is it's an amazing little aerial camera. I own larger DJI drones and a few Mavics but this one has been blowing me away with some of the images I have captured so far with it. The details and dynamic range are fantastic. Now have a camera that can shoot almost straight up and also vertical is opening new possibilities for me. I am super impressed with the panoramics I have captured. Even when the DJO control stitches them into JPEG they are good enough but with a little post-processing, they are fantastic. I just bought one of the high-capacity batteries a few days ago so now I can fly even longer. Hopefully, the Fly More Kits start getting shipped. The controller with the screen is also very nice and helps me always be able to fly when I want. My only issue to date has been my controller screen freezing up making flying by looking at the screen impossible. I use the Return To Home and land and restart and it fixes the issue. As of this writing 07/16/2022 a new firmware was released yesterday to fix this issue but I have not flown yet to confirm. I also bought some faster Micro SD cards so that should also help if it was a card speed issue. I will update this when needed if anything changes but so far I am happy with this purchase. I did go on DJI and add the DJI Care for two years just in case of any mishaps. Thinking of getting one. I would say "Yes" I didn't really need a new one but now I am happy I made the purchase.

Worth the investment! I get obsessive when researching before making a purchase.Great pictures and videos! Amazing photos at dusk/dark as well. I live near Lake Ontario and I wasn't sure about the weight of the drone with the wind. I have not had any issues. I haven't needed to but could buy the larger capacity battery for additional picture stability. I have flown with consistent 10/15 mph winds and the coldest I have flown is -21 with the wind-chill. I fly 2-3 times a week and have no concerns. Two crashes (ish) my dog bumped into it at take off and wasn't paying attention when I first bought it and took off before the satellites connected and hit my pergola. No damage to the drone with either. The sensors work great but are hit and miss at dusk. I get consistent 26 min flight from the stock battery. No regrets with this purchase

I love my Dji drones. I love my other drones too except when they catch a branch or fly-away and crash into a tree. Obstacle avoidance cant be understated. My mini 3 pro will glide through the woods without a concern, taking beautiful pictures and videos along the way. Dji simply owns the market right now and I am thoroughly sold on the quality of the products and the hours of fun it brings me. Im in my 50’s and this should have been my first drone. It is so easy to fly that anyone of any age can master the controls. Fly high and enjoy the aerial pics and videos.

This drone is very easy to handle almost impossible to crash. The screen on the controller is very clear and after watching several videos it is very user friendly. The 249 gram battery lasts about 30 minutes and the controller gives notification so that there is plenty of time to return to home or the controller location. The photos and videos are super clear even flying in high winds.

Great drone. I previously had a Mini 3 (non pro) and also have an Air 2S. I've had various other drones starting with the Parrot Anafi, also Autel Evo Lite Plus, DJI Inspire 1. This takes among the best photos even in 12 megapixel mode! Something about the color looks right. And it's quiet, so quiet that people are constantly surprised that it's not noisy. Flying at 400ft, people on the ground may not even realize there's a drone in the air. I also use mine for photogrammetry by flying manually. I highly recommend getting the controller with the built in screen, no matter which drone you buy. The downside of the DJI RC (RM303) is that it doesn't show maps properly, even if you download them on wifi. Usually you get a very low res version. The downside of this versus the bigger drones like the Air and Pro series is that it can't handle wind as well. Above a certain wind speed it may be unable to fight back and could get blown away. I haven't had that happen but there have been close calls! Battery life is not as good as the regular Mini 3 so if you don't need the obstacle sensors, video features, and longer transmission range, get that one.

Dreaded getting a drone as it seemed daunting to learn how to use. The Mini 3 Pro is so easy. Think it finally was synthesized down to something that just works as easy as possible. Wanted a drone to try to do helicopter, crane and follow for films on a budget. This actually works. And the quality is enough. Rather impressed with this tiny little plastic flying image maker. Photos are actually quite nice. And compliment the latest iPhone photos very well. Makes a nice compact package for news, events and even commercial use. And some nice company "films." Heard these small drones were actually being used for small films and commercials. And can see why. Quite surprised and happy with it. Quiet as well. Would recommend the Remote as it makes so easy to pair and work each time.

I've been flying for about 3 years now, starting with a Mavic Air then a Mini 2. This new Mini 3 Pro with the built-in screen is the best of all the worlds. The speed with which I can now be up in the air (thanks to not having to connect my phone) means that I am now flying so much more. I love that piece of mind that comes with obstacle avoidance and the am enjoying the various shot settings that came with the Mavic Air. I have had no range or lag issues. Battery life is great. If you can pay the extra for this guy it'll be worth it.
