Many appreciate its surprisingly good suction power and convenient cordless operation, making cleaning easier and more efficient. Fun little vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a dyson v11 that I used to use for the house. But the head attachment didn’t always get all the cat litter or crumbs off the floor. I mainly have tile and laminate wood floors and two giant rugs for a couple of rooms. The Omni glide came in clutch with cleaning all the hard surface floors. So easy to use and clean. Why I didn’t give it five stars is because ( yes I’m knit picking here) the battery life, size, power, hard floor cleaner only. I fully charged the vacuum and went to work with it and it was great until I was almost done with the house and it died lol. Not the biggest deal in the world but just bummed me out a bit. Next the size honestly isn’t that bad but I am 6 ft tall and wasn’t expecting it to that small. I guess I’m just used to the v11. But the benefit of it being small is how maneuverable it is. My girlfriend is very short and loves this vacuum and how easy it is to move it around and just clean. And last power I really wish it had a a little bit more power but I understand why they did what they did because this vacuum is just incredible. Overall to get on with my ramble lol I highly recommend this still if you have majority hard floor surfaces.

Amazing little machine
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I want to say as I have had all the stick Dysons including the v11, Which was really an overkill for my 700 ft.² home I actually gave that one to my friend, and I saw this one for the first time I read the reviews even the negative but I said to myself it’s a Dyson. I got it on time and put it together and charged it. From there it was pure heaven this thing picks up everything, my long-haired cat furball’s laying all over, kibble And just plain every day dust. I can’t believe how this does glide over the floor it’s pretty amazing I was hesitant to spend $400 on it, But knowing the brand I took a chance I will not be returning it the only one thing I would like is a motorized mini brush like you have in the Dyson glide in the UK, please please please I need it bad. Otherwise another quality product from Dyson.

Smooth Hard Surface Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About the Dyson Omni-glide The Omni-glide by Dyson is advertised as Dyson’s slimmest, most maneuverable vacuum. It is made only for use on hard surfaces and has built-in soft rollers in the cleaner head. It uses four 360 degree casters for superior mobility. What It Comes With Inside the box you will find the stick vacuum, a combination tool, a wall-mountable charger, and some paperwork. The combination tool is a long skinny end attachment with another brush attachment that slides onto the longer tool. The brush attachment can be removed for cleaning in hard to reach areas. There’s no attachment for the combination tool to the vacuum, so you have to store it and retrieve it when needed. The wall charger has a roughly 6 foot cord, which I would have liked to have seen be longer due to the arrangement of how the vacuum charges and the normal height of an electrical outlet. Charging It’s recommended to charge the vacuum immediately for roughly 3.5 hours or until fully charged when you open the box. The charger can be mounted to the wall (with screws or tape), but you need to measure carefully because the vacuum is to sit on the floor and lean into position per the instructions. Hanging the vacuum on the charger does not appear to be an option. When I tried to hold the charger and attach the vacuum to it, it felt like the vacuum would fall off of the charger. This was different than I expected. I think that I’d like to see it hang and be off the floor for storage. Key Features This vacuum has some really nifty qualities about it. Here’s a quick list of key things that make it unique: • Two soft rollers to pick up debris • Four 360 degree casters for mobility • Designed to lay flat on the floor to reach under low furniture • Slim design which can help with hard to reach places • Weighs 4.2 lbs • Can be used as a stick or handheld vacuum • Advanced whole machine filtration (expels air cleaner than you breathe) My Impression While Using When I opened it up, I thought that it was really light-weight and it was definitely the slimmest stick vacuum that I’ve seen. I was concerned that it may be too slim because the head was so narrow that I would have to make more passes to clean the floor area. When I sat the vacuum down on the floor I immediately notice how well the vacuum rolled on the casters. It was really smooth and did not take much effort to roll the head where I wanted it. This increased mobility seemed to make up for the narrow head because it was so easy to move. It also felt like the cleaner head was gentle to the hardwood surface that I was cleaning. It didn’t feel like I was scratching up the hardwood surface like other vacuums that I’ve tried. There are two settings for the suction. I used the low setting and it worked well. There’s also a turbo setting, but it picked up fine without this being on. That also helps to save the battery. Dyson claims that the charge will let the vacuum run for 20 minutes. I have used mine in short spurts and it lasted longer than that in total. It is really handy to quickly clean the kitchen floor, so I leave it ready to grab when there’s a mess. The container is easy to empty and can be done with one hand after you remove the stick from the end. I did try to use it on a rug, and also took a swipe on my carpet. The roller heads just stop, so it does not work it any way on anything other than a hard surface. I’m giving the Dyson Omni-glide 4 stars because there’s not a way to give it 4.5. It’s really close to being a 5 star product in my opinion. If the cleaner head were wider, I believe that I’d like it a little better. There are small things like the length of the charger cord and how it is stored that could be improved. Overall, this is a great cordless stick vacuum with Dyson powered suction. The casters work really well, and the soft rollers are perfect for my hardwood floors.

PERFECT for small spaces, good for big spaces.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: If you have a small apartment with all solid floors (tile/wood), this may be the only vacuum you need. Anything larger than that will need MANY stops to empty the tiny dustbin. I like small things. My wife is 4'11" and I love her to death. That being said, I was REALLY surprised when the box for the Dyson Omni-Glide showed up on my doorstep. I figured that there was no way this thing fit inside that box. Well, I was wrong about two things. It did indeed fit inside the box and the Omni-Glide is way smaller than I assumed it to be. In some ways this smallness is better than what I hoped and in others it is a bit worse. We just redid the floors in our house so that it is virtually all ceramic tile and engineered wood. All-in-all there is about 2500 Sq Ft of flooring that our previous Dyson Ball is no longer the best option when needing to clean. I got the Omni-Glide because it seemed to be the best option Dyson has ever offered to do hard floors. They are almost there. Perhaps, one day, Dyson will make an Omni-Glide Max with a bigger cleaning head and a larger dust bin. Then it would be the best vacuum for a house like mine. Until then, the Omni-Glide is really only good for small apartments/spaces with hard floors. What I Like: 1. The Omni-Glide and get under just about anything. This is outstanding since all the dust bunnies seem to want to hide underneath the back of the couch. 2. You can pop out the battery and charge it on the counter if you don't want to set up the charging dock on the wall. You could also buy a second battery if you need more runtime. 3. Battery lasts surprisingly long. Dyson says it's good for 20 minutes but I have used it WAY more than that using a mix of regular/turbo power and it's still not dead. 4. Yay! A toggle button for on/off instead of a trigger! What an idea! Perhaps I would like to keep the vacuum running when I switch hands or get down on my hands and knees to reach under the bed. Never understood why Dyson used a trigger. 5. It's super maneuverable. Not only can it go under just about anything, it can also go around just about everything with just a twist of your wrist. That combined with the fact that the Omni-Glide is really light, makes this the vacuum to use for hard to clean places. There were spots behind some furniture that I'm embarrassed to say have not been cleaned since we bought our house 6 years ago. Now those places are clean. 6. The semi-open front/back sides of the vacuum head (see picture), lets the rotating brushes get in close to where the floor and wall join and pick up everything. 7. Easy to clean. Everything comes apart easily and can be cleaned and replaced in minutes. Don't Like: 1. Dust bin is WAY too small. Just doing the bedroom area and the stairs pretty much filled the dust bin. We aren't that dirty, the bin is just that small. 2. The small cleaner head size while maneuverable and easy to get under furniture also requires a lot of back and forth to cover the entire floor. Wish List for Dyson to consider when designing the Omni-Glide 2 or Omni-Glide Max: 1. Larger (really, wider not taller or thicker) cleaning head. Most of the things I need to get under have wide but short openings underneath. Would be nice if I could cover more of the floor under there. 2. Lasers. Yup. The new Dyson vacuums have lasers at a low angle so you can see dust and debris easier and can tell when everything is gone. The Omni-Glide could really use this since it is mostly used to clean up dust, hair, and other small bits. Also, it would help light the way when running it under large pieces of furniture. 3. More accessories. I'm sure Dyson will come out with an 'Animal' version of this soon that has all kinds of attachments but right now you just get a crevice tool/brush combo. The small size of the core unit makes it really nice for vacuuming furniture and such. I would appreciate some extra tools to make that even better. Bottom-Line: This is a great vacuum if you have a small space or lots of furniture to get under or behind. If you have <1,000 Sq Ft of hard flooring space, this may be the only vacuum you need.

Excellent for Casual Hard Floor Cleaning!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned Dyson Ball (large) Vacuum for years and its excellent. But for all its many pros, there were a few CONs (for us, see if you relate to any): 1. very heavy and unwieldy to carry around 2. cord adds limits its casual use. 3. Defaults to Beater Bar - have to turn off every use on hardwood (if you want to be careful at protecting them). Essentially - the Corded Ball Series is great as a 'General Multi-Task' Vacuum - and it was revolutionary for us in replacing a traditional bag corded vacuum. But those 3 CONs made using it for casual everyday cleaning on our hardwood... a chore. Dysons previous Cordless 'Stick' Vacuums were not hitting the mark for us, as they were still focused on the 'smaller General Multi-Task' market; their characteristics still had CONs. Finally, Dyson introduced a 'Stick' Vacuum designed with 'Hard Surfaces' Focus. I was reluctant though, based on some of the reviews. But now after 30days i can say Im very impressed! This vacuum addresses all 3 of the CONs of the Dyson Ball for us: 1. its incredibly light and agile - my wife was shocked at how maneuverable and light it was (go to BestBuy and move the store display around on the floor to see as it has to be experienced). 2. Like the other 'sticks' its cordless and the removable battery gives you lots of recharge options (we have not mounted ours yet so charge like a cell phone would) 3. the Counter Rotating Heads are made for a 'Hardwood Focused' solution - soft but very effective on our hardwood floors. Now let me address he CONs i had read about prior to purchase: 1. Battery Life - we have a 5000 sqft home thats primarily hardwood. This thing is impressive - on the 'normal' setting we go thru 'partial' cleaning for 2 days on a charge. Basically, you treat it like you would your cell phone - charge at the end of a day (or if you forget then top it off the next day or so). 2. Bin Size - yes its very small. This is not for big jobs. But for casual cleaning on hardwood, its well suited for that. So, this sounds great right? Have we given away our Dyson Ball? Well, no... the ball is still a beast for serious cleaning or carpets. But we have used it only 1 time over the 30days. So was this a revolution for how we clean... Well, yes. Who its FOR: Those with Hard Surfaces who prioritize Light weight, Maneuverability, Ease of use. Those who like to clean daily with a quick sweep. Who its NOT: Those with Carpets, who prioritize Power. Those who clean weekly.

No-compromise Hard Floor Vacuum Cleaner that works
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, I was skeptical when I unpacked the east-to-assemble Dyson - Omni-glide Cordless Vacuum Cleaner but after first-time use on my hardwood floors, I asked myself why haven’t I had this vacuum cleaner much sooner?! It’s amazing what this vacuum cleaner picks up with the motorized omnidirectional soft roller that feels like suede. Four 360-degree casters enable the cleaner head to glide in all possible directions making it easy to navigate along curvy walls and any obstacles. It glides forwards, backward, and even sideways, which is ideal for stairs. A nice side-effect after vacuuming: My hardwood floors look polished too, wow! The battery lasts for about 22 minutes in Eco mode which Dyson says provides the optimum balance of power and run time for everyday hard floor cleaning. The other cleaning mode is “Max”, which though it provides lots more vacuum power I felt was not needed to use for my cleaning needs. Recharging the battery takes around 3 hours. A blue LED light informs of charging status: While charging it pulses, and when charging has completed, the LED is off. Thanks to the supplied combination tool the vacuum cleaner quickly changes from a stick to a handheld vacuum cleaner. It’s perfect for vacuuming the stairway railing and handrails thanks to the wide nozzle and brush for soft-dusting. With the box also comes a “docking station” or “charging station” you should install near a power outlet that allows for convenient placement of your vacuum cleaner. Really cool is there are two ways to attach it to the wall: (1) Supplied screws and dowels, or (2) Sticky pad, should you have a tiled wall. Know though the battery can be charged without the “docking station”, no problem. I find the Dyson - Omni-glide Cordless Vacuum Cleaner most maneuverable and versatile. It’s slim, light-weight, and simple to use, and also, very easy to maintain, such as washing the filter with water, and the brush bars under running cold water. The “Point-and-Shoot” bin makes it easy to expel dirt in the garbage. A well-deserved 5 stars.

Thanks Dyson, powerful mini vac!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s perfect for small cleanups and spot cleaning, I use it in my home office to pickup dog hair and my crumbs, lol, only hard floors, it does not work on carpet, the brushes stop if you try to use on carpet. The dog is shedding during winter months so the canister fills up quickly. It is very light and very mobile/versatile , it comes with wall mount charger, it was easy to install and keeps it charged up for when I’m ready to use it. Thanks Dyson!

Best Dyson ever
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a couple of Dyson vacuums in the house already. This one literally is the latest and greatest. Super light, powerful suctions for it's size, very maneuverable, the attachments can do double duty (see my pictures) so you don't have extra hanging around. A tad smaller profile than the previous generation. Glides over hard surfaces and carpets and I do mean glide. Even has a Max vacuum button for more power. On the regular power, it is so much quieter than my other vacuums. On max, it's still quieter. LOL. Dyson knocked it out of the ball park with this one. GO BUY THIS NOW! I haven't gotten a product in the last few years that I was this impressed with.

another unique vacuum from Dyson
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dyson Omni glide cordless bare floor vacuum continues the winning streak Dyson has with cleaning appliances. The unit is slim, lightweight, and highly maneuverable with a powered cleaner head which has powered soft rollers (which are removable as well as washable). It is a match made in heaven if you have hard floors as it glides (hence the name) across them picking up dry material or dirt effortlessly. Since the powered head swivels all the way around, with the help of casters which swivel 360 degrees really comes in handy. The neck also allows you to lay the vacuum flat (almost like planking). As with most vacuums these days it provides heap class filtering to trap dust and allergens, so they just don’t get recycled back into the air. The motor has two speeds, normal and max for differing cleaning situations. The unit is rechargeable and includes an AC adapter which can attached to the wall to act as a recharging mount. The lithium-ion batteries are contained in the handle and take about 3.5 hours to charge for twenty minutes of run time. There is a blue led light at the top of the handle which indicates charging status, and the battery pack can be removed if it they need to be replaced in the future. The unit was easily assembled as part of three separate pieces, you have to remove the middle piece to empty the dirt cup, a bit inconvenient but not a deal breaker. The middle piece (about 18 inches long) which essentially adds length to the unit can be removed to make the unit a quasi-hand held unit (although it is about two feet long so not sure I would consider it hand held). Overall, the vacuum is super convenient and maneuverable and makes cleaning your hard floors easy. Pros: - It is a Dyson! - Two-year warranty - slim, lightweight, and highly maneuverable - 99.99% of dust, particles and allergens are filtered out of the air exhaust. - Two power modes - also comes with an edge and brush attachments Cons: - Wife complained that the handle is a bit thick and uncomfortable to use if you have smaller hands (I did not have this issue). She mentioned this also is an issue for her with our other Dyson vacuum. - Emptying a dirt canister requires two hands and a twist of the canister. - Run time may be an issue for some.

I LOVE this!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for cleaning up after my toddler, especially in the kitchen and under the table area. I wasn’t expecting a lot because I had a handheld Dyson that I hated. However, I was very surprised at how much I really like it. It is so light and truely does glide across the floor. I like the way it moves and swivels around the chairs and table legs and can hug the side of the wall and the basedecks of the lower cabinets like in front of thr dishwasher and range. It also lays flat enough that I can get under the buffet and also the couch which I could not before. Now I don’t have to move the couch as much to clean under it! Time will tell if the battery lasts but for the 2 days I have had it, I have used it a few times since it is so light and convienent!

It's a 400 dollar hard surface sweeper
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I'm lazy, maybe this thing just does the job. I'm not sure I can tell. I have the swiffer mop thing, I've used them (technically I'll still be using it from time to time). This just does a better job. I have four dogs, and a wife. So we get a lot of hair on the hard wood floors (and bathroom floor). This isn't a vacuum (it doesn't have a cord and the head actually fits under and between furniture), but it does the job (and you don't have to "dust" things into a pile to sweep/vacuum up afterward). I'm sure I could spend an extra 30/40 minutes a few times a week with a dry-mop, broom, and vacuum. But this cuts that cleaning time down to 5-10 minutes twice a day (and it gets the hair out of the shower, fits nicely under the couch, as well as making quick work of cleaning corner to corner on hardwood surfaces)

Not the best, but better than using a broom
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it to clean kitchen with tile floors. It won’t pick up onion peel or any paper towels. it will pick up hair and fine dirt. The opening where stick meets the vaccum head is small so I can understand why it lacks the suction power to pick up all debris in one swipe. It is light, easy to change accessories, and no trigger if using accessories, it is heavy if you want to vacuum anything that requires holding the vacuum instead of placing the weight on floor or sofa. I am petite so it may not be an issue for a larger framed body. The vaccum wont pick up debris in corner I have nice line of salt left behind by the vacuum.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.(I was able to purchase this product at larger than normal discount as a Best Buy employee but I have received no other compensation for this review, this review is purely my own opinion) If you want to vacuum a small area with hard floors this vacuum is prefect for you! It's pretty fun to see the head maneuver in and out of tight areas, does a great job cleaning and its pretty light, so it doesn't strain your arms. However in order to make it light they had to cut down on the dustbin and battery capacity, which makes it less ideal for larger areas, and of course the head can't handle carpet. Frankly at the MSRP this vacuum is a bit overpriced, especially due to the limitations(but that's typical for Dyson of course) but it is very good at what it can do.

Only con is cleaning out the dust. Hard to get out above the filter. Definitely recommend.
