Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the ease of use, lightweight design, and strong suction of the V7 Motorhead Cord-Free Stick Vacuum. Many appreciate its powerful performance and quiet operation, along with the convenient cordless feature. However, some users mention that the battery life could be improved, and the dustbin capacity is relatively small. A few also point out that the price point may be a consideration for some buyers.

Great For Smaller Homes Only
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this vacuum for a large home. I have a one bedroom apartment and find that I do run out of battery before I am done so I know it would be a nightmare if I had a bigger space. It takes 3.5 hours to fully charge. However it does pick up almost everything from carpet and hardwood floors.

Great addition
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know why I waited so long to get this! It’s fabulous for an entry level cordless vac. If you can manage it I would recommend a higher model simply for more run time. It’s one flaw.

Posted .Hi John, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Dyson V7 Motorhead. The V7 is designed to get 30 minutes of run time in standard mode with no motorized tool attached, 20 minutes with the motorized head in standard mode and 6 minutes in MAX mode as advertised.
If you are not getting the specified run times, please contact us at [email protected] with your serial number, description of issue or concern and your contact information and we will be happy to help.
Best Wishes,
Krystal

A very good and portable device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned Dyson vacuums in the past, so we had pretty high expectations for the V7. We have had fans, an earlier vacuum model and recently a V6. The V7, while not their top of the line, more than met our expectation. First off, my wife loves the "magenta" body and vacuum tube. It was simple to unbox and had all the required parts, to include a wall charger assembly. It had a slight charge when we got it, but we immediately put it on the charger prior to firing it up. Once charged after about 2 hours we tried it out. This is SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than our previous V6. So much so that I was concerned that it wasn't as powerful. I was wrong! This thing has two levels, normal and Max power. It does an admirable job on normal, which allows the run time to be greater. On max, it knocked out even the most heavy carpet and got a lot of dog hair from our dogs. The max does drop operation time significantly, if you need that extra oomph, it's there. Normal seems to get most debris laying around. It has a different emptying scheme than prior Dyson vacuums so make sure to keep the instructions around at least initially. Overall we were very impressed, especially with the reduction of how loud these can get. We will be using this as the day to day sweeper (especially for our hardwood floors) and pull out the big one for weekend cleaning. It gets all the dog hair and has attachments for cars, ceiling fans and you can get others for even your keyboard. Highly recommended.

Good backup with a price tag
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First Dyson vacuum I have owned, lives up to the Dyson reputation both in quality and price. Packaging was excellent so if you are getting this shipped instead of picking it up no worries. Instructions/manual is clear and assembly of the wand, powerhead etc..is easily completed. With the included wall mount it is easily stored and charged. There are two attachments, one of which is a double brush upholstery tool. The other is a crevice tool. Emptying the collection bin is easy and no mess over a trash can. The filter is on top, easy to access and clean. The floor attachment brush is easy to remove and dislodge strings and other debris that collects in the housing. On/Off is controlled by a trigger on the handle. There are safety features built in to prevent motor overheat and operation during blockages. If you are aggressively using the floor tool this may trigger the safety mechanism, turning it off for a minute resolved this. There are tow modes on the vacuum High Suction Extended Run and Max Suction. High Suction mode is barely that but is adequate for use with the floor tool on bare floors and small objects with the other tools. In this mode I have gotten 18-22 minutes consistent run time. Max Suction mode is really the best option for all around use. The floor tool has its own motor however which hurts batter life, run time in this mode is limited to 6-8 minutes depending on bare floor or carpet. it does struggle with large objects and has a tendency to clog so your best use of this is light quick jobs. Overall this is a pretty good unit but with limited run time. It is easy to use ergonomic and a great back up to getting out the corded unit. I often find myself walking through the kitchen/hall and grabbing it of the wall to take care of dust bunnies that I may otherwise not. Overall the price tag for what it is may be a deterrent but definitely worthy of consideration and I would recommend.
