So far so good. I really love the settings, especially the eco mode. It's gentle on our clothes and pretty quiet.

We're having a big problem with the lint trap coming out while drying. First time we figured it was our mistake for not pushing the lint trap fully in place (we thought we did). That cost us 2 socks that were caught in the blower. 2nd time it happened I knew we were being careful to make sure the lint trap was fully seated. Lost sock #3. I pulled the front off and placed a screen in front of the blower. The lint trap came out again. 3rd time in 3 weekends of drying, but at least I didn’t lose any more clothes due to the screen I installed. It seems to happen most often with stretchy yoga style pants. I caught it on video. Not that great of video, but I still got it. Electrolux did send a repair tech to have a look but literally all they said was use a laundry bag. When I explained the Maytags and Samsungs I had in the past didn't have this problem he repeated that we should use a laundry bag. Personally I think Electrolux should replace the door with one shaped like the washer. That would fix the problem. With all that said, the first 3 weeks were problematic. The past few weeks have been without incident. One last note, I noticed the issue with lint build up on the dryer seal as the Last1IHope reviewer, but with other issue I figured that waa too small to complain about.

Electrolux Dryer caught fire. Control board and connectors burned out. Could have burned my house down. Anyone else have this issue? Electrolux would not cover parts and service. Only 1 year warranty, we have had for 3 years.

We havent owned this dryer for two full years and I’ve replaced the belt three rimes now. All three broken belts were related to the lint trap. Somehow a sock made it through and got pulled into the original belt. The two most recent breaks were both caused by a button on a shirt getting caught on the lint trap and that statyed a twisting and pile up of the clothes inside that must have frozen the drum. Poorly engineered.

    Electrolux dryer died

I like this dryer but I owned one for 4-1/2 years and it died. The cost to fix could have been $400 or $800. It could have been the electronic board or the motor. If you installed one and that didn't take care of the problem, you couldn't return it. So I found a replacement on closeout for $600. A new machine and it's working fine. I've never had a dryer fail before. They don't make things like they used to. What a throw away society we live in :-(

Not good - front pc of filter came out when dry clothes stuck into the machine- I plan to return but no car to drop off or box to send back. I have to pull out the clothes out. I have to tape the filter every time I have to dry my clothes. Will not buy any from this brand.

Sleek and solid- love the look and feel of this machine. I don’t feel it’s more quiet than other machines, but that could be a function of the flooring in my house. There are a lot of drying options on here, and the predictive drying system a definite plus. Get the pedestals for the washer and dryer to bring the machines up higher so you don’t have to bend over as far.

What I like: The lint catcher is great. Will save me from having to clean the insides of the lint holder. Finally. It's a nice-looking machine and mostly dries well. My sheets seem to tangle a bit less than with my previous dryer. What I don't like: I can't adjust the time to less than 30 minutes. I also haven't read the manual so perhaps it's possible and I just don't know it, however, I don't like that I have to read a manual to use a dryer. Keep it simple, I say. Why I gave it 3 stars is because after every use there is a ring of stuff on the door and machine. Dust, lint, etc. It's already nicely tucked into the rubber seal and I'm not looking forward to figuring out how to clean it out without damaging that. Note: I am a retiree. Some clothing will have gardening debris in it, but it's not like I work construction. I don't get it and it's irritating.

      Hello,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We always love hearing what our family likes, loves, and don't like. It only makes us better with future products. This model has a 15 minutes dry cycle. You can find out more on page 32 of the Owner's guide. Also, just a small tip when cleaning the lint trap, give the door seal a nice wipe down to cut back on the build up. Should you have additional questions, give us a call at 877-435-3287 Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 8 pm EST.

Overall I think this is a very good dryer. It has many different drying options and is very modern looking. This is part of a set that we own. I did not give it 5 stars as we previously owned this dryer and the main board went out after only three years which is too soon.

The washer was a lemon-I plan to avoid Electrolux

A new Electrolux washer and drier were installed by Best Buy and occasionally we would get the error message that the water hoses were mixed up, so we arranged for a service call. However prior to the date of that service call, which was after about a week's use in the midst of the spin dry, the washer blew the ground fault interrupter (GFI), and after resetting, it contined to blow the GFI. The front loader door was locked and wet wash was trapped inside. After 2 hours on the phone with Best Buy, they agreed to replace the washer but none were available and no more were being ordered, so they told me to pick another brand and they would take back both the washer and the electric dryer and issue a refund for any difference in price, which they did, and the replacement LG washer and dryer arrived approximately 10 days later. However instead of an in-person service call for the hose error message which had been scheduled prior to the GFI blowing events, the Best Buy repair team contacted the manufacturer and told me over the phone the procedure to cause the front loader door latch to release. The procedure worked, and even though 7 days had passed, the wet laundry hadn't started to mold, so we placed it into the Electrolux clothes dryer. I do not think that there ever was anything wrong with the hoses or their installation that gave rise to the error messages. Instead I think this particular washer was defective...a total 'lemon'. The major reason for purchasing the Electrolux brand rather than any other was it was one of the few brands that the door swing of the units could be reversed. With the replacement LG front loader washer and dryer we were able to instead flip the location of the washer and dryer so that the door swing would work. The whole experience was quite disheartening and frustrating. Ultimately Best Buy made good on the transaction. The replacement LG washer and dryer seem to be better built, hence I plan to stay away from Electrolux.
