Excellent visual quality, but poor stand

The monitor is an IPS with excellent viewing angles. I tried expensive VA monitors from LG and Scepter prior to buying this IPS monitor from Element. The VA monitors did have noticeably better "blacks." However, the "viewing angles' of those VA monitors were so overwhelmingly terrible that the moment I moved my head off to the side, I started to see the "blues" turn into "greens." I could not deal with this. So, I purchased the IPS monitor from Element. The IPS from Element has very good "blacks" and also excellent "viewing angles." This is a great monitor for doing office work and watching movies. However, this monitor has two fundamental problems. First, the monitor simply slides into a form of "lock" when you connect the stand. The problem is, the stand is not balanced at all. The only way I could fix this problem was to fold about a dozen pieces of bent paper and place them under the one leg of the stand. This "balanced" the stand. Unfortunately, I have visible "bent paper" underneath my stand and it looks very cheesy. Also, when the Element monitor is working, it works fine. The color is excellent and you don't need to worry about adjusting anything in terms of temperature or color. Everything is fine out of the box. The only "viewing" problem with this monitor is something that happens at the "Restart" of this monitor; however, the problem does not occur during a "Startup." On my Dell Optiplex 390, when I push the Power button, I see the Dell BIOS screen telling me to press F12. I then see the Windows screen. I then see the screen telling me to enter my password. This always takes exactly 12 seconds and is 100% perfect. However, the problem occurs when there is a Restart. I see the normal blue screen that says "Restarting." I then see an Element message that says "No Signal." This message saying "No Signal" is display FARRRR TOOOO LONG. Consequently, I don't even see the Dell BIOS screen. I often don't even see much of the Windows screen. I will just end up at the password screen. This is not the way it should be. In the past, prior to a Clean Install, this computer and this monitor always took exactly 18 seconds to initially show the Dell BIOS, then the Windows screen, and then reach the password screen. For some reason, doing a "Clean Install" of Windows 10 Pro made it so this Element Monitor displays "No Signal" for far too long. I have talked with Element about this problem. Element offers excellent customer service. I'm currently trying to figure out the problem with Element.

No built in speakers.

Missing screw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was an open box item, so I didn’t expect it to be perfect, but it was missing a screw that holds the stand on. Also, missing a little rubber foot that goes on the bottom of the stand. Otherwise, it works fine.
