Whatever you do, fill up all the ink tanks as soon as you buy them and make them last. Refills are a pain. I filled the color tanks, ran a test print and the color was not printing. Cleaned the nozzles, did another test print and the problem continued. Just buy a printer with ink cartridges. (Included two test print with only the black and white pattern)

I bought this because I wanted the wireless feature and I love being able to print easily from any of my devices! Getting the wireless set up was a bit more complicated than I would have liked, mostly because the instructions did not make clear when you had to use the setup on the printer screen instead of the computer desktop. I love the idea of printing without wasteful cartridges. The ink tanks are easy to fill, the replacement ink it much less expensive than cartridges, and you can replace only the color of ink needed. I’ve printed text on plain paper and photos on glossy paper, and I’m happy with the results and how easy it is to switch printing options. I also appreciated getting a discount for trading in my old printer and not having to recycle it myself.

    Money-saving, High Quality Printer

Easy, economical, and exquisite! The Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-in-One Printer is all this and much, much more. It is one of the best overall, feature rich, productivity enhancing devices that I have ever had the pleasure of using. If you are in the market for a new device for your home or small office, and want to save money on those dreaded ink cartridges, while producing quality copies, prints, and scans, look no further. This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Unpacking, software installation, thumbing through the easy to understand product manual, setup, and conducting multiple printer tests were all done in a breeze, and accomplished in under an hour. This included the time it took to fill up and prime the super sized ink tanks and connect the printer to WiFi for wireless printing. Other features on this Epson Expression ET-2650 of note: 1) Loading tray in the back that is flush with the unit when closed. It makes for easy transportation from one place to another. 2) Printer offers useful, built in templates for producing wide ruled notebook paper, thin ruled paper, graph paper, music paper, weekly calendars, and monthly calendars. 3) Ink bottles have very clear instructions on how to insert the ink into the printer. But, there is a little bit of a learning curve to complete this task mess free. The bottles either have a snap off lid or one that you unscrew. I received the snap off lid type. It is a genius idea! Once you snap off the lid you use the reverse side to put it back on and secure it for later use! 4) Epson Connect - I did this and I love this feature! Your printer has its own email address, and allows a user to print anywhere in the world! 5) And finally, one of the main reasons to get this printer – saving money! If you print a lot of things, you could potentially save hundreds of dollars with this piece of equipment. Black and white and color copy quality is excellent for a home printer. It can’t compete on photo quality with high-end photo printers and processors, but home users, students, and small office owners should be quite satisfied. The manufacturer suggests that enough ink is included to print up to 4000 black and white pages and 6500 color copies. With this printer, there is no need to purchase high cost cartridges. Just buy genuine replacement ink refill bottles at a much lower retail price than many other competing manufacturers and refill ink reservoirs on your own. After “test driving” this Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-in-One Printer for the past week, I can now happily donate my old printer, and put this new and improved device to daily use in the home.

    Great Quality Printing

I have been using this Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-In-One printer for about a week now and I am very impressed with all aspects of this model. The box includes the printer, a power cord, four ink bottles, a disk, detailed information, instructions and a quick start guide. The setup was very easy and fast after reading through the guide. This was my first time seeing a printer with ink tanks like the ones on this machine but if you're careful it is pretty easy. After removing all of the protective covering and filling the ink tanks you do have to charge these ink tanks and that took around 15 min or so. Setting the language and wireless connection was also very easy. They provide step by step instructions on all of this and installing the software from the disc provided but all together the setup took me no time or trouble. Part of the high rating I gave this printer is because there are so many amazing features on this device. This is the first printer I have seen that comes with enough ink to print up to 4,000 pages or is equal to 2 years of ink. The size of this printer is still small enough for your desktop and with the built in wireless there are not a bunch of cords to hide and it doesn’t look bad. It is so easy and convenient to print directly from my iPhone or iPad from any room in the house and it's been great for my kids homework and school assignments also. The print quality is perfect and has all of the options to clean, align, and even create. There are also apps in the app store for creating collages, coloring pages, greeting cards and more right from your phone. This printer is amazing and makes sense. With ink today costing more than the actual printer itself, I am glad to have this one. No more ink cartridges that either dry up from nonuse of the printer or use up all the ink too quickly when you do have printing to do and no more ridiculously expensive printer cartridges! I was SO tired of spending hundreds of dollars on ink to use printers that were expensive to start with. This has been an answer to my prayers! It's easy to set up, easy to use and the quality of the prints or copies is better than any other printer I've had.

Print quality is excellent, set up was very easy. I did read some reviews before buying and people mentioning problems with ink leaking or putting ink in wrong containers. It's very easy to insert the ink and is labeled and color coded to make sure you do it correctly. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is based on price and not being able to automatically print on both sides.

Having already owned an Epson Workforce printer, I was skeptical this Epson Expression EcoTank ET-2650 Wireless All-In-One Printer would alleviate the majority of my pain points. Firstly, the unpacking was a breeze with clearly marked instructions and an online video tutorial from Epson. The ink tank is visible and easy to navigate. Filling the ink compartment (although a tad messy), took only a few minutes. After following the visible prompts, I was able to connect easily to my Wi-Fi. The driver installation was intuitive. The quality of the print job was even better than I expected with no dithering, streaks or smudges. Multiple pages in succession printed smoothly. I also tested the multi-functional features from the scanner to the fax. Both performed effortlessly and were very responsive. The unit is compact but definitely packs a punch. Touted for its no waste approach (with a two year supply of liquid ink), I can definitely see how this printer would be both economical and efficient over time. Unlike my Epson Workforce printer whose ink cartridge jams and constantly dries up, this new Epson Expression EcoTank ET-2650 is a welcome surprise and an innovative addition in assisting me with both my productivity and business needs. *This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I only set up my Epson printer yesterday however I have printed wirelessly from a second printer already and it printed quickly and well. Both the color printing and b and w were clear and bright. It was easy to set up and also easy to fill the ink ports which I'd been nervous about. I own Apple products so I did the installation from online (as opposed to the CD that came with the printer). It walked me through easily and everything went as it was supposed to. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because when I purchased the printer the salesman told me that I would have, in the box, an extra bottle of ink for each color (so two in total for each color). However, I have yet to find these extra bottles. I do intend to call the store. So the missing star isn't actually about the printer itself. As of now I'm excited with this printer and pleased with how well everything has worked.

Initially I was looking at getting a printer for under $100 but I was drawn to this printer due to the fact that it uses ink bottles instead of cartridges so it creates far less waste. After calculating how much I'd be spending on ink cartridges with a less expensive printer I realized this one was the best bet in the long run. It's also very compact so it can fit easily in my studio without taking up a lot of space and it comes with more ink than can fit in the tanks. After printing a decent number of documents the ink levels haven't changed much at all so I'm sure the supplied ink will last quite a while and replacements are very affordable. Thrilled with this eco friendly printer!

This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Pros: * Wireless printing!!!! It's *amazing* being able to print documents and images directly from my phone, computer and tablet! It's the kind of feature that alone makes this All-in-one a great option for a small business owner like myself who does work around the clock but not always at my desk. * Relatively small footprint with a sleek look. * Everything is included needed to set up and get going! * Scanner quality is PHENOMENAL. Consistent in terms of quality with the $3000 professional scanner I normally use. * This printer-scanner-copier could easily eliminate several other types of equipment in my office and bring me to a cleaner, wireless, minimalist aesthetic. Cons: * Set up was a little more complicated than expected. There is a lot of blue tape holding the printer together, and I damaged pulled off one of the printer flaps just trying to remove the tape. * Injecting the ink into the reserve tanks was messy and dangerous. I did get ink on myself even though I was extremely careful. Pulling off the vacuum seal on the bottles was the most scary part. * I've had problems initiating scans at the machine to be sent to my desktop. I just can't get that function to work, or may not be understanding the limitations of functions initiated at the device itself. Had some initial errors scanning at my computer as well - initiating the function was just a little buggy. * The machine can be extremely slow to warm up, scan, and print relative to the standalone devices I already use. A basic scan took about 30 seconds, and I've seen the printer take as long as 3 minutes to wake up and wirelessly print a single page from a tablet though it's usually quite a bit quicker if already active. * I can smell the ink anytime I'm near the printer; it has a chemical smell that some may be sensitive to. For the printer quality itself, the inks are vibrant in color, but I have not yet found how to print in anything but draft mode from my phone or tablet. So the print quality is efficient but low, unless there are other settings to explore that I haven't found yet. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the new workability this all-in-one printer offers -- and the flexibility it gives my workspace to do a lot more in a smaller area. I'm excited to see how the value of the eco tank inks play out compared to cartridge based printers. As long as I don't have to inject the inks in the printer more than once a year, I'll probably be happy with this one in the long term. IMO the scanner is its best asset!

    ECO Tank ET-2650 WIRELESS PRINTER

I use to have an older model Epson printer for 6 plus years! Got tired of it and then the printer head wore out and leaked ink! With the ECO TANK ET-2650 you don't have to worry about spending 70 plus dollars on 4 ink cartridges the older models use to take. YOU WILL SAVE MONEY! Over a period of time! Its much smaller than the RX model i use to have and takes up less space and doesn't weigh a ton! Nobody likes reading directions RIGHT? LOL! Go on youtube for the unpackaging and set up video! It is a little messy to install the ink!! SO MAKE SURE! you put something something down under the printer other than newspaper when you fill the ink! The ink will stain and doesn't wash out easily! If you don't want to control your printer wireless then you can buy a USB cable (optional not included) and run it that way! Thought the price was a little much! 200 and some dollars! but it was worth it! I'm happy with it and I recommend it! I forgot: It does come with the ink bottles to fill up your printer! Does take some ink to start it up! I hope this was helpful!

I did not begin my search for a new printer with this one on my list as it was priced higher than I intended to spend. While the upfront cost was more, the money saved on ink will make up for it within 6-9mo. In terms of the printer, I have only used it for documents and am pleased with the quality. The scan and copy functions work very well too. Also, the setup and time required to connect from other devices (ex. laptops (Mac & PC)) was minimal. I did not award 5 stars only because I have only had the printer for about 2 months.

I've only had this printer a few weeks. So far it's worked flawlessly, and I am looking forward to the 2 years I'm supposed to get on the included ink. I'm so glad Epson came out with these EcoTank gizmos when they did, because I was starting to consider a third-party adapter. Only time will tell about the ink life, but the wireless works will with our macs. This is not a photo printer. I got it for everyday use, like printing out emails and maps. I have had many Epson pirinters. I only wish it had capability to print CD/DVD printable media; it doesn't.

After I received the printer, I unboxed it and started to set up. I normally don't like reading manuals so I can't really comment much about the quality of the documentation, but I can tell you that it was straightforward to install the cartridges, even though I've never seen a printer with similar cartridges. Traditional cartridges only require the user to snap the new one in after pulling out the old cartridge, but that's not the case with this printer. You have 4 little bottles of ink, that you need to open it up and fill into the printer. I really like that the printer has a wifi feature and as long as you're connected to the same network, you can print it remotely. I have to mention this again, that I work in technology field and pretty used to decipher all kinds of menu's, but I think the little screen to setup your wifi and other settings could be replaced by a small touch screen with more user friendly interface. The current screen and buttons are not so easy to type for example your wifi password, especially if your password is not password:) As far as the performance, I've tried printing B&W documents and it's pretty fast and great quality, but then I tried to print a photo on a Office Depot premium photo paper ( 9 MIL | 63LB ) and I was not thrilled with the quality. Please see the attached image, which is a screenshot of the printed image. Also, you can compare to the original digital version of this image at http://nersophotography.com/julie-michelle-kida Overall, I think it's a good printer.

Printer is much like low end Epson Expression printers under $100... which I have used extensively as "disposable" printers. But the high price of this printer (lists for near $300) is more than offset by surprising quality and low printing costs due to the Ecotank refillable ink system...even using Epson inks which are astonishingly inexpensive. In the first two weeks, I ran over 300 full page photo quality sheets and only used half the first supply of ink. Compared to other inkjet printers (of which I own several) the Epson prints vividly and with great density, especially blacks which are REALLY (as inkjets go) BLACK. Not the fastest printer on the planet...not nearly as fast as Epson's own PrecisionCore printers (two of which I have) and about the same quality...but MUCH cheaper to operate, smaller, and quieter. AND the print drivers are amazingly flexible and adjustable allowing you to tailor and save as many different print profiles as you want to accommodate just about any printable media. The printer has no bulk paper feed tray but uses a rear sheet feeder that can accommodate multiple sheets of photo or specialty paper (no need to feed one at a at a time). You can also set the printer to use a default paper type (say heavy photo paper) but if you forget and send a job that is for regular general purpose paper, it will beep at you and tell you on the screen you have sent a paper type the printer is not set for and allow you to make the change to the correct paper without aborting or having to re-send the print job. And, it does not have a duplexer (read the specs!). It DOES have a surprisingly good scanner which is so compact and situated in the thin printer lid that you are almost surprised to see it. Like its printing, the scanner isn't particularly fast (or slow) but makes VERY GOOD scans, easily (when properly set) picking up the individual screened dots in other printed material. It also picks up a lot of quality color information, making editing of scanned items much more flexible. Don't buy it as an office printer or one that you want to print a lot of conventional text documents on (though it does a very good job on those, even on low quality paper). If you are a designer or artists or just want to make very high quality photo prints, this printer will pleasantly surprise you.

I was originally concerned with the print quality I would get since this is a new type of printer (at least for me). But thus far I have found it to be of excellent quality and certainly much more economical to use. I always held back on printing color unless it was absolutely necessary but now I can print as I want and it's much nicer. This unit is at least as easy to set up as any others I've had and the ink cost, quality and ease of use (no mess) is great! I highly recommend it especially if you like to use the printer for fun as well as work. It's initial cost and the cost of the ink makes it an excellent value.

We all know that "big print" just wants you to purchase a printer so that they can sell you ink, so the promise of the Eco-tank is pretty compelling. This printer was very easy to set up and the included ink bottles (one for each CMYK) filled the tanks perfectly. I'd say the only challenge is that when you fill the tanks you might be intimidated that a drop of ink will spill - just have a paper towel handy. It's not messy by any means but you may have a drop or two on the outer part of the tank spout. The spouts seal nicely with a silicone cap and it was well thought out. Printing is fast and color looks as good as any ink jet I've had. Wireless printing and small footprint integrates nicely into our home/student/office scenario.
