Exceptional performance and durability
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Epson LS12000 laser projector for over a year now with a 142" cinemascope screen and I am absolutely blown away by its performance. If you are looking for a high-quality projector that delivers stunning images and amazing features, you should consider the Epson LS12000 laser projector. This projector uses laser light source technology to produce bright, vivid and lifelike colors that will enhance your viewing experience. The Epson LS12000 also has a 4K enhancement feature that upscales Full HD content to 4K resolution, making every detail sharper and clearer. The projector also supports HDR10 and HLG formats, which offer a wider range of contrast and brightness for more realistic scenes. The Epson LS12000 is easy to set up and operate, thanks to its motorized lens shift, zoom and focus, and its wireless HDMI transmitter that eliminates the need for cables. The Epson LS12000 is a great choice for anyone who wants to enjoy a cinematic experience at home or loves playing games on a big screen.

Stunning 4K!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please don’t be disheartened by the pixel shifted 4K - this beast displays a stunning 4K image on screen - all 8.3 million pixels (at least thats what it seems - I didn’t count the pixels) - I’m sure the JVCs produce a better picture but how much better can it be - and especially at this price point - the eARC, the HDMI 2.1 ports, the bright 2700 lumen laser, the inky blacks and.. get this.. 20 ms input lag - at $5K - it’s a steal! My wife and I watched Top Gun Maverick on this beauty and it was a breathtaking experience - I connected it to a Sonos Arc, 2 Subs, 2 Five’s - Good lord it was immersive as hell. This is a must have if you are seriously into films - every moment with it has been a treat!

Excellent price to performance level.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent future-proof feature set. For the price, it’s difficult to say anything compares. Very solid black levels (the excellent contrast level helps in this regard), great colors, sharpness and light output work well in my less than ideal viewing room. Don’t worry so much about the lack of dynamic tone-mapping. I found a setting that works for 95% of content including video games. Five stars based on price/performance.

Holly Lasers!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New LS12000 has been installed for 1 week now in my dedicated (small) theater room. I've always loved the projector experience that we had with our previous projectors (Older Epson's, and one Mitsubishi). However, this is a significant leap in performance. Previous models, especially when the bulb got past 1000 hrs., would become notably dimmer, cause the room temp to go up several degrees (this happened no matter the hour count on the bulb), and the fans would be loud enough to be a distraction. The Epson LS12000 has an absolutely bright/stunning picture! Fan noise is not detectable, and the unit runs much cooler than previous models with the standard bulb. We have been watching content mainly on the Apple TV and a little on a UHD Blu-ray player. Source material on both look fantastic. Strongly recommend turning Frame interpolation to "Low" or "Off". The soap-opera effect is a little too smooth out of the box. Pros: - Cost to performance ratio - Excellent Form-factor - Top-quality Chief mount in the box - Picture Quality (out of the box is great) - Flexible installation (lens shift on this unit is no joke) - Laser light engine (runs cool / quiet / no bulb to replace) - 3 year Epson warranty Cons: - No 3D support (not a problem for me but will be for some) - Chief mounting pole provided is 6" and might require an additional purchase for some installations. Images taken are with iPhone 12 Pro Max. Content is YouTube. Equipment at the time of review are; Epson LS12000 projector w/ provided mount, SI Screen Black Diamond 1.4 113", Marantz SR6011 (will not pass 120Hz. Needs an upgrade), Apple TV 4K 32G, Xbox ONE X, Oppo Blu-ray, PS4, Roku Ultra... PS. Still have some drywall repair to do after projector swap. :)

Definitely worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is amazing. The picture quality can’t be beat. I’m sure there are features on this I will never use, but it doesn’t matter because of the viewing experience. I like that there is an automatic lens cap that opens when it powers up and closes when it powers down. The startup time is the best I have had on a projector. I haven’t tried to use this in a fully-lit room, but when I dim the lights a bit, it is just perfect. Watching movies feels like you are in a theater. Watching sporting events is like you are in the stadium. Looking forward to many more years of this pristine viewing experience.

Best Value For High End Home Theater Projector
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this PJ back in April 2022, and received it in September 2022. Ten months later, I am still loving the picture! For the price, this projector is tough to beat. The contrast levels are about the same as the previous Epson 5040 and 5050, but that is not a bad thing. Don't let others mislead you on the whole "it's not really 4k". It may not be a native 4k panel, but the projector does bring you a full 4k image (all addressable pixels) via shifting. The advantages to having laser as opposed to lamps are evident right out of the box. The color fidelity is purer as there is no bias from a traditional lamp. The projector also runs a bit quieter and cooler then the previous lamp based model. This projector is VERY bright. You could pair it with a grey screen or an ALR screen, and you would still have a great image that is watchable with light in the room! (see attached pics) I have been a projector enthusiast since 2005, and this is my sixth projector setup. By and far this is THE BEST image I have seen in this price range. Lastly, Epson's warranty simply cannot be beat. Five weeks into ownership, my LS12000 started to make a buzzing sound (lens shift mechanism), I called up Epson, and within 32 hours they had the replacement unit on my doorstep. The replacement unit has had ZERO issues. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I love it…but
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box the projector had a dust spec on one of the internal panels causing a green blob on the screen in dark sceens. Had to take it back in for an exchange, wait another week only to have the same problem again. Right out if the box. Its otherwise a very nice projector with great value, but i am going to have to exchange this one again and if the third one has another green blob thats it.

Motorized lens cover won't open or function
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't use it from the first day it was installed by Best Buy because the lens cover sticks and doesn't open or close all the way rendering the projector useless and non working.

The Best 4K Projector
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all; I wanted to let everyone know that my previous projector was the Epson 5050Ub 4K which is an excellent projector in its own right. However the LS12000 is a much bigger step higher, in regards of picture quality and allowing me to finally play Xbox Series X games at 4K 120Hz. The laser technology its amazing it only take about 8-10sec to get the projector fully power on and the brightness and crispiness of the image matches and at times better than either my Samsung 65 QN85A or my Sony 4K 85 inch X950H My only advice to people that purchase this projector is to make sure that you purchased a HDMI 2.1 certified cable so you can take full advantage of it .

Simply an amazing projector
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an Epson 5040UB that I had for years and loved. This LS12000 blows my previous projector out of the water. I will go over a few of the things that are really great. Really, really quiet. When watching shows, I don't ever hear the fan. The colors are just stunning. The reds and blues especially just pop. The overall picture is just incredible. The whites and blacks are amazing. Easy to set up. Starts really fast Overall, I could not be happier. This laser projector should last many, many years.

Beautiful problem free projector.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful detailed image quality, easy set up. I have a light controlled room with a 135" screen. I'd rather watch a movie at home at higher quality than I get in a movie theater. IF this was twice as bright at the same price there'd be no reason to buy anything else.

Just Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 10 year old JVC DLA project. The image quality and brightness is amazing straight out of the box. Additionally the projector is very quiet.

Pretty perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing picture and features. The zoom and focus controls make configuration super simple. Wish the remote worked without direct line-of-sight but with cec it doesnt matter much. I was a little hesitant to buy this since best buy requires you buy in person for some weird reason and the 15% restocking fee is scary. However, I’m glad I went through with it and have no regrets.

Good Projector for theater room
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well, no issues so far in a dedicated theater room. Blacks are decent, but you will definitely want this in a dedicated room with minimal outside light. The included mount is decent.

Epson is affordable home theater!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great color. Upgraded from Epson ub5040 and no problems with transitions from bright to dark scenes like on the ub5040 auto iris.very quiet operation light output @75 in light controlled room. Clarity is stunning. No bulb to change or vary output over time. If going for perfection @ this price point get an isf certified tech to set up color gamut and grayscale in your home theater. Would buy again. Fortunately 20.000 hour lifespan on laser means I won't have to for years to come.

Loved it, but purchase with caution
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved it, the picture quality was great, it was amazing for playing games at up to 4K 120hz. Movies were also great but manually adjusting the HDR slider and lack of dynamic tone mapping seemed to be a missing feature for the price. so now for the bad stuff: less than 6 months of use and 600 hours at 75% brightness, I got a small block of dead blue pixels in the central viewing area and a portion of the screen yellowed in a vertical column on the left side. Epson has a good warranty, IF you are willing to accept a $5000 refurbished unit after less than six months on your new one. On forums people who receive a replacement often have more dead pixels or a very noisy fan or pixel shift unit. If I knew I would be getting a refurbished unit for my 5000 dollars, I would have never purchased. Epson's customer service has been horrible. 1 hour wait, to speak to someone, the representative "Alvin" was disinterested in helping and after 1.5 hours on we escalated to his manager, who refused to honor their warranty due to best buys receipt not being the original date. Best buy has been great, they gave me a loaner ls11000 while I waited 4 months for this prized projector. I have total tech protection on it, so maybe Best buy can cover it with a new unit. But unless $5K means less to you than it does me, I would consider a different brand. A expensive projector should not fail this early in its life, and that failure should not stick you with a refurbish one.

Best projector at this price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent projector. Was holding out for this projector when it was first rumored. The brightness is better than I thought it would be, only needs to be set on low and the projector is nearly silent.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this projector. Highly detailed, very bright, but still maintains great blacks. The motorized lens and focus are fantastic too. So much value for this price compared to others.
