When dialed in right, this device works wonders. It even tracks my shanks (gulp). In less than 23 days of owning it, I have seen 20 yds improvement in my 34 degrees 7 iron (see pic). I started working on clubface control and that too improved within a week (see pic for PW). I love the fact that this Golf Range App is free from subscription. I also love the fact you can get the camera to record speed when there isn't enough room between the device and the net for the doppler to get accurate readings (it still reads quite accurately though). My hitting space is only a club's length to the net (see pic). I also like ES has been great in customer service, like in the old school way where they ask your name and you have a live person to talk to. Because I like details, I have spent many hours talking to the software engineer in understanding how I can push this device past the intended design (see below for more). They are not only responsive but transparent with their technology in how it works. Advanced features: I have used this unit in indoor mode at the golf range on a cloudy day. Although not designed for this, this unit can still give me as high as 70% accuracy. The reason why you won't get 100% is that the logos on the range balls introduce too much error from being worn out, or from wrapping around the ball (see pic). Also, the outdoor lighting is not the same as indoors, with a brighter ball looking closer to the camera. I have yet to get back out and recalibrate the unit with outdoor lighting. Can't fix the range ball logo problems though. But again, this daytime application using the camera is more than what it is designed for (the outdoor mode is doppler only). So, as a surprise and delight, I am willing to take a slight performance hit. This is the only device that has both the camera and doppler. This gives me the accuracy and flexibility I needed. Plus it is backed up by a team of responsive and transparent people. I was spending about $100 a week on range balls, now I can experiment with my swing without feeling my wallet is on Slimfast. Negatives: It won't read fat shots. Even the slightest fat shot will show as pushed right. I am okay with that since I wasn't going to improve my fat shots, just eliminate them. Conversely, sometimes the microphone won't pick up thin or bladed shots. I can live with that too. I also have seen reviews where people fussed about placing the logo correctly. The only problem I have is judging the right distance from the back foot. I actually find reaching down to the ball helps stretch my back after each shot. This has been the best investment in my game thus far.

I have been using this for about 3 weeks now. I am extremely pleased with this. I wanted to stay in the $2K range but get club head data and ball data, which is why I didn't go with SkyTrak. The set up was easy, and I use it with FiberBuilt mat, outdoor under my covered porch. I had an issue with it picking up the ball on the hitting mat when the sun is out, but I called Earnest sport and we adjusted the EXP setting and resolved the issue very quickly. It was great experience and they were very responsive. I also had a chance to compare my performance with ES Tour Plus to Trackman and found the data results to be very comparable in terms of distance, club path, Club face, spin rates, and directionality. So if you want Club Data and Ball Data and stay around 2K, this is the product to buy! I have never used ES products before, and I understand they're past products had opportunities to be improved, but I think they did really well with ES Tour Plus and its at a great price point. I couldn't be happier with it and I was really pleased with the support they provided.

Loving it so far. It gives a lot of data. I chose this over the Mevo and skytrak because of the space needed and extra club data. Enjoying it. Ernest sports is also proactive with helping customers. I was surprised with how quickly you can get ahold of them. Great job Joe and team!

This product arrived very quickly. The setup was straight forward with a 5 minute calibration, downloading the ES Golf App, and then I was hitting. The ball positioning took several quick trials and since then it has been simple. I would recommend this product for it's quality and performance. The main reason for this purchase was time, or lack of thereof, due to family and work. I had picked the game back up after many years off and was around a 12 handicap, played a lot and got down to a 3, now I'm back up to a 9. I spent several months looking at all the options and decided on the mid-price range. The instrument gives many of the data points like smash factor, club and ball speed, distance, spin, ..., but the ability for the ES Tour Plus to give the club face and club path data points set it above the others. I just couldn't see spending the time and money if these were not included. They are just too important in working to improve my game. The ES Golf app has been really great for seeing all the data points, along with averages and shot dispersion. The club comparison data has been useful as I have tried it with several of my different drivers. I feel this is going to be excellent for my game improvement and fun with simulator use.

I spent over a half hour typing a review only for it to be deleted. Not doing that again. Bottom line is this is a great personal launch monitor for the price. It has a few quirks, but they all do. Buy it you will like it. It has all 26 data points for under $2000 at best buy. This is the ES TOUR PLUS that im referring to.

The simulator works great for driving and irons, chipping short and around the greens have been frustrating. Sometimes it works flawless and sometimes it takes 3-8 shots to just read one shot. I’m sure it’ll take some tweaking to figure out why. Es phone customer support is great. Not sure if i would buy this unit again if I were to do it all over again.

I am glad to have ES Tour Plus that is a wonderful device for Accurate and Easy to Use. I have purchased this device from Best Buy and have it for a month now. Also, I have had other brand device like Mevo for many years. but The Accuracy: the accuracy is much better than the other brand I have when compared the same shot in both devices. Easy to Use: Just Make Device on, Download the software in and push connect button in software to connect to my laptop using Bluetooth connection. That is all I did to use it. Hope my review is helpful

I had a mevo plus and because of some construction I was losing some space in my golf room. I had read some decent things about the new ES Tour Plus and wanted to give it a try to alleviate having to keep the mevo plus so far back behind the ball. I was hoping having the unit on the side next to the ball would give me some greater flexibility with set up. Set up was fairly easy and having the flight monitor next to the hitting mat did solve space issues but; i tried it the first day and it literally took an hour to hit 10 balls. No matter where I placed the balls (calibration sheet or not) the machine would not locate the ball. I decided to stop and come back tomorrow figuring I was doing something wrong. I read more from the forums on placement and tried the next day and the same thing happened. I hooked up the mevo plus and that unit maybe missed 1 out of 20 balls in 5 minutes where on the Tour plus I spent 30 minutes and might have had it read 1 or 2 balls within 10 seconds of placement by flight monitor. Maybe I received a bad unit but at the end of the day looks like I am keeping the Mevo Plus and will deal with the extra room needed. I was really hoping the changes people said on forums were true from previous models but not in my case.

I assembled a hitting bay in my garage and was looking for a launch monitor with a shot tracer to show me the flight path of my ball. Hitting into a net was not giving me any feedback on ball path and hitting statistics. At first, I thought there was something wrong with the unit and spoke to a technician who had me mail the unit back for inspection. I received the unit back and still was having some issues. The technician FaceTimed me so he could see my setup and issues that I was having. It turns out it was a user error, and I was using multiple colored mats to hit off of that were interfering with the unit. The unit works exactly as described. It is nice to have the manufacturer in Georgia for the ease of contact. Excellent unit. It’s everything that I expected.
