I currently own a 980Ti Hybrid and I didn't mind throwing money around to see if a 1080 would give me a significant performance boost. On paper, Nvidia made it look like this card was the end all be all. If you overclock a 980Ti, you're within spitting distance of a stock 1080. And that's what the Founder's Edition is: a stock reference card with a chance to "buy it early" (aka: Founder's Edition). I'm sure this isn't the first time a manufacturer released an "early adopter" premium of $100, but this is rather shady for Nvidia to pull. There are cheaper (and higher clocked) 1080s that are non-reference cards (try EVGA and MSI). Plus there's only (1) 8-pin socket for power limiting your overclocking capabilities. And that's another thing, this card heats up real fast. Which is odd considering that the power input is capped. Hold off on this card or get a non-reference version with better cooling options. You'd get more bang for your buck that route.

This card is absolutely incredible. It's a bit expensive, but you get the performance of the Titan, but at a fraction of the cost.

I have the HTC vive. The only game(fun house) that fun to play requires GTX1080. This card can handle mid setting in funhouse no problem. Other games are very smooth!

I bought the GTX 1080 after seeing videos where it was out performing the old Titan X and thought that there was anyway a card half the price will do that. To my surprise out of the box the card was a beast, after using Precision X to overclock the gpu to a staggering 2140 MGZ and memory to a crazy 11000 it was like jumping in the fast lane. I can run Battelfield 4 on Ultra everything at 4k and stay above 55 FPS, BUY THIS CARD IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT!!!

I heard this card is a legend but does it live up to the hype.. for the price this thing is TWICE the bang as the TITAN X - much stronger - much cheaper 2x wow also heard it's one plugin and very low psu (power supply unit) GREAT for a addon into a mid tower with Waves MaxxAudio Processing..

This GPU out-preforms the Titan X and is about half the cost of it! Why would you pass up an opportunity like this? Get ready for better 4k support, better FPS, a more immersive VR experience without spending all the money on the, now second best, Titan X.

If your like me you want to get the thing.. and. Not wait.. May.. I suggest.. the GTX 1070 do it yourselfer it's an i5 (quad core) build with 8 GB high quality...DDR4 *Ram* and.. may I suggest BestBuys M32CD for 479 bucks equiped with Maxx Waves Audio edit: check out this video on YouTube called The Return *has a lion on the video* the sound Maxx Waves has is epic.. and the founders edition GTX 1070 449 $ ..whole thing should not be too much over a grand..

Based on Benchmarks coming out this will be the Fastest Video Card on the Market, but with that Said unless you have 4K Monitor you are buying more than you need. Instead wait for GTX 1070 which is 24% Slower, but still as fast as Titan X and cost $379. That is $220 less than GTX 1080 and basically getting the 2nd fastest card on the market. Perfect for 1080P and 1440P
