I upgraded from a GTX 570 that was no longer supported by current drivers. I am using Xubuntu 18.04. Installation was about as straightforward as anything like this can be, and it has been working well for nearly a month. Performance improvement is quite evident. Even though installation isn't too difficult, it seems that a few people have run into problems, so I'll provide a few pointers here. Note that if upgrading from a rather old card, it may be necessary to upgrade the NVidia drivers, as older drivers won't recognize this card. I recommend studying how to update the drivers or downloading and printing out detailed instructions before installing the new card, as the display will only be 640x480 if the proper drivers are not installed. If installing the drivers manually from the file downloaded from the NVidia website (recommended - the repositories seem to be a bit wonky), it is necessary to go into the console (i.e. CTRL-ALT-F1) and shut down the X server first. Instructions for all of this can be found online. Also, note that if your power supply is like mine and doesn't have an 8-pin connector, the combination of a 6-pin connector and a 2-pin connector works fine. There is only one way that these connectors will work, so it shouldn't be possible to mess this up. As always with things like this, it is a good idea to have another computer or a smart phone around to look things up if something goes wrong, but upgrading to this card shouldn't give any trouble to anyone who has done a little pre-planning.

Silent, fast, runs cool. Great card for 1080p

Got this card as a temp to replace my RTX 2070 that kept failing and having to be RMA'd. Honestly I'm keeping it. Runs fast, cool, almost every game plays around 90-100fps. Probably the best card for all but the most hardcore gamers. Yeah you can't play Battlefield V in 4k at 144fps, but even then it still plays smoothly in 1080 and 1440. If you're looking for a good mid range card for silent, smooth game play in most modern games, This is the one to go for. My only complaint is that there is no backplate, but the cooler is very rigid so I doubt this card will have any flex over time.

Paired with my 2600x and 144hz monitor this card shreds 1080 ultra and 1440 medium. Stays cool and very quiet.

If you're looking to upgrade your PC but you don't have the money for a super top of the line graphics card, this is what I'd go with. With the combination of the 32gigs of ram I have, my gaming PC is unstoppable. It will play any games on the highest graphics settings and not show any problems.

This GPU runs awesome! I was using a 1050 ti and bit the bullet to upgrade and havent looked back. The performance jump is astounding, and the price is honestly very fair. If you're looking to upgrade but don't want to spend the money on the 20 series, this is the way to go!

Make sure you have room to install this card because it is huge. I had to do cable management just to install this to my large sized desktop tower because I had no room to install it. Runs great. I love it. It was a huge upgrade from a GTX 960.

This graphics card is a fantastic bang for the buck. With the monitors that I am using there was no necessity to go any larger or spend more money than this. It has greatly reduced my latency and improved my overall experience from my 1050 card.

Upgraded from a gtx 1050 to a gtx 1660ti and what a difference in performance. GPU is kind of long so I had to modify my Dell precision t1650 case to get it to fit.

I built my first gaming PC in June and was trying to do a budget build. This graphics card has gone above and beyond the expectations I had for it. Most games I cap at 240fps and this card will easily handle it. Sure you can spend $1200 for a 2080ti, but that's overkill in my opinion.
