I love, love, LOVE my new A/C!!! It is so easy to use & the remote...don't get me started!!!! I love the whole thing about the A/C & the remote!!!!!!!

It has done a good job of cooling two rooms of an older home during 100 degree weather. Remote is a nice addition. There were quality control issues from the factory, one vent was installed incorrectly and a mounting bracket was bent, not any fault of best buy or shipping. Was able the repair them during installation.

I brought the Frigidaire 15,100 air conditioner in July, 2016. I replaced a VERY OLD Fedders 13,500 BTU unit which had stopped working. I knew I wanted a larger unit because I never felt the 13,500 BTU unit adequately cooled my living room / dinning room / kitchen area. While I don't know the exact square footage, the space is pretty large. The Frigidaire 15,100 BTU fit the bill. It cools the space nicely, and it is not super loud. It's not quiet, but the noise level is tolerable. I can still sit and watch TV with it running and not have to rise the volume to hear over the air conditioner, well maybe just a bit. Thus far I am happy with the unit's performance. I've only used it this summer, though, so time will tell. This spring I remodeled my kitchen and replaced all my mismatched appliances with stainless steel Frigidaire appliances. So far I am pleased with them, no problems, therefore I'm not anticipating any problems with my new air conditioner. I didn't install the unit myself, my contractor did, so I can't comment on how easy or difficult the installation was.

This is my second A/C purchase within the last year and both times I bought Frigidaire. This latest one (the 15,100 btu FFRE1533S1 ) is fine, although installing it alone is not something I'd do very often (because of its weight). I did it, but I don't recommend installing it on your own, if you have a choice. Even so, it works VERY well and more than does the job. In fact, my other Frigidaire unit works amazingly well, too, and even though I have a lot of space to cool in each room, these units can make it VERY cold in a relatively short time...in fact, for the first time in years of owning A/C units in various houses, these consistently cool their respective rooms so fast I have to raise the temperature setting or wear a sweater. This has been true even with our recent heatwave! Also, I love being able to set it to sleep mode when I leave the great-room for the night. Sleep mode really saves money, as does the econo mode, too. When you need to, you can just let it run at full bore for rapid cooling. The unit works well and you will be surprised at the many features it has...they are VERY helpful, effectively cooling the room when you need it, but also are economical and versatile. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. It is just what I wanted and works very well.

This thing cools down my entire 1,600 sq/ft 2 bedroom apartment in about an hour! Remote control is pretty neat. Just beware, it is fairly loud, even on low, and it's really, really heavy. Maybe not ideal if you plan on putting it in and taking it out every spring & fall.

This air conditioner is OK. I use it to cool a 500 square foot room. I really like the remote. Overall its an average A/C

This Frigidaire air conditioner, FFRE1533S1, definitely works well and cools down the area in a minimal amount of time. It is quieter in comparison to other window air conditioners I've owned. The product arrived in a timely fashion and was not damaged via shipment, thanks to the sufficient packaging.

Very satisfied with the AC units we bought at Best Buy. They keep our entire one level home nice and cool and are quiet. Installers did a great job too. Will defintely return to Best Buy in future when our bedroom AC needs to be replaced!

I really like this unit. Cools off my living/dining room (800+ sqft) quickly. Its relatively quiet too. Much quieter than my previous "quiet" air conditioner. All in all, I'm very pleased and would recommend it!

Installation instructions not good. Works well except in "Auto Sensing" mode - then it "short cycles" - on for ~15 seconds, then off for ~60 - becomes annoying after awhile. Customer service, no help.

This is not the quietest a/c on earth, but that's not what one expects in a 15,000btu unit. It's a big machine that makes cold, and it does it effectively -- and for its size it's fairly quiet. This replaced for us a 12,000btu Samsung that was probably close to 10 years old, and it's quieter and much more efficient than that one. The slide-out chassis made installation a relative snap, I took my time and did lots of sealing around edges and a second layer of baffles/window seals since we leave the unit in year-'round. I managed to do it by myself, but would recommend two people for moving and installing one of these -- this is a big, heavy unit.

Gets the job done, I really like the remote control sensing option. It is also pretty quiet considering the amount of air air pushes, much better than my older unit that it replaced.

I put this in my great room which is about 500 sq ft. This a/c blasts and cools off the entire first floor. I have a somewhat open floor in a center hall colonial. It is very heavy. The only thing that I don't like is the the bugs from outside make their way in through the small openings on the sides and bottom. I bought clear insulation tape (Frost King brand) and sealed it. It's clear like packing tape, but easy to remove from the window trim. I do have central air, but I don't like to use it. This is simpler for me and more cost effective.

This A/C is very nice and efficient. I can set it and it will maintain that temp all day long. I am cooling 4 rooms with it and it works very well. love the remote!!

This little unit can really put out some cold air production. Cools down an large room 500-600 Square feet in not time at all. Not to noisy on the lower setting but the higher settings where it's really working it will be cause to turn up the TV. There is an energy saver function and one where the remote can control can serve as the point of reference for cooling. In other words it will cool down to the temp at the controller as opposed to the temp at the unit. All in all I'm very satisfied with this unit.

Keeps my place cold, I like cold. It's so quiet that I don't need to raise the tv volume, as I did with the old unit.

Economical window unit which is very easy to install, functions as expected, and is fairly quiet. Good buy for the money.

The house is a Cape Cod style and the old 12k AC was barely working. At the time AC units were becoming scarce in the stores and Best Buy had a 12k unit available locally, but then I saw the 15k Frigidaire on the floor at a bargain price. Installation was a little involved because I had to install brackets. The unit cools the whole downstairs. Remote sensing is nice as I can set the remote a distance away and it maintains the temperature according to where I place the remote.

I purchased this window unit for my mom's I believe it's 1,200 square foot row home. I started to purchase a 20,000 - 25,000 BTU unit to ensure that the entire downstairs stayed cool however a friend who does home improvement said she wouldn't need one that powerful. I had the unit installed in the living room window and keep the temp on low. This unit cools the living room, dining room and all the way back to the kitchen wonderfully. We are very pleased!
