The cinematography in this Frozen Earth series is good and of course there is award winning narration and background music that is epic in scale. You'll be able to feel the cold freezing atmosphere and feel right at home with the glorious animals. However, when compared to WWE, you must consider the pinnacle of great camera work like the night when Becky invaded Raw before Survivor Series. Naomi outside the ring smiling like a seven year old after throwing the Raw women's talent into the barricade made me LOL. Also Micheal Cole's announcing was pretty good on that night. In comparison, the narrator on Frozen Planet Earth doesn't go nuts over the details as much but he'll explain the actions in detail. Also the 1080p crisp imagery on this Frozen Earth disc compared to the glorious backdrops of Forza Horizon 4 must be commented on..... By you not me

On my way to collecting all of these - BBC and David Attenborough did such a wonderful job. This one was really interesting as so many nature shows don't go into depth on this eco-climate.

Another great series on animal life by the BBC, this time in the Arctic and Antarctic. I loved the different penguins & the elephant seals. However, the clarity of the video is not as clean and crisp as I expect a Blu-ray to be.

Another great release from BBC. If you like "Life," then you will love Frozen Planet. Excellent cinematography This seven-part series (with each episode 60 minutes long) covers the natural and wild habitat of the Arctic and Antarctic circles, covering indigenous life, their survival tactics, hunts, and mating cycles, as well as the landscape and natural events, most of which involve ice in many unique and surprising forms, and the effects annual season. The first episode is a kind of overview, four more episodes cover these habitats during the four seasons, the sixth episode covers various human explorations, studies and residents of these regions, and the final controversial episode covers melting ice and global climate change. A must see.

Great documentary with good narration. My family loved watching it.

Hello, Frozen Planet is a unique series about animals.

We have owned (either by purchasing or gifting) most of BBC earth series, and we love all of them. This one is one of those we have seen a couple of times.

We were both completely and totally taken aback after watching even the first episode. Our eyes were glued to the screen as we saw things that we had never seen before (and we have seen MANY nature documentaries) - volcanoes in Antarctica with ice caves; a male polar bear carefully stepping in a female's foot prints as he follows her to find her; and the formation of a gigantic ice berg. These are just a few of the things in the FIRST episode alone. I am still awed by the images.

This is a fantastic presentation. The story it tells and the gorgeous photography used to tell it is awesome. When I watched it, I was struck by how difficult it must have been to capture the action they showed. Then I watched the extras on the "making of" and was awed by the dedication and creativity of the team that put this together. Highly recommended

You can't go wrong with BBC nature shows. My son (almost 8 years old) loves them all. Visually stunning with excellent narration by David Attenborough. Even my 2 year old daughter was captivated by this series. It's great to watch something with the kids that is not a cartoon and keeps their attention. Educational and entertaining for the whole family.

The frozen planet is a beautiful Blu-ray video about the North and South pole area animals and plants. I bought the Planet Earth 5 years ago and we were amazed by the sharp resolutions of the video then, and the Frozen Planet is as good as the Planet Earth and even better.

Although this is a Blu-Ray DVD and not a 4K, it is still awesome. The images of the wildlife in the freezing elements is so neat to see.... With my Sony Bravia 75" 940e from Best Buy, the Blu-Ray is so enhanced. This is a must have DVD to add to the BBC Collection.

Frozen Planet Blu-ray delivers great video and superb audio in this exceptional Blu-ray release. Frozen Planet impresses on the whole with a 1080i/AVC MPEG-4 encode that's comparable to other 1080i BBC Earth Blu-ray presentations. Good value for the $$$

The audio and video quality is as great as all of the other BBC Nature BluRays. I added this one to my Life and Planet collections. It is narrated by David Attenborough, as are the rest of the movies in the original BBC series.

BBC always puts out a quality production. If you are a fan of nature or a fan of documentaries this is a great set to own. Narrated by the great David Attenborough gives it even more polish and the footage makes you feel emershed in the subject matter.
