Easy to connect via bluetooth or wire, compact size but big sound. Fast charging and long lasting charge. It is water resistant as I used it in the rain. (after a while, I covered it just to be safe). Overall impressed with the sound and portability.

I do not normally bother with writing a review, let alone a same-day purchase review. This speaker is that GOOD! I was pleasantly surprised to find the speaker offers voice prompts for bluetooth pairing...So no more of this frustration: "Wait, did it connect?" "I dunno. It beeped." "What's a beep mean?" "I dunno. The 'manual' that came with it doesn't say." Then I was doubly surprised when I went to Fugoo's website and found a firmware upgrade WITH A TUTORIAL video. AND! You get to choose from two different voices. Or just turn the voice prompts off if you want. Have it your way. It's all detailed in the manual you can find online. You can even change the name of your speaker with the firmware upgrade. I named mine, "Tetrodotoxin" of course. Sound is what we want in a portable speaker (there's also a loudness mode for large rooms, check for the settings in the online manual). Play around with your iTunes EQ settings. This thing belts out deep enough bass given the small size. Deadmau5's "City In Florida" is a decent test of the bass. Then pop in Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue to see how crisp the treble is. In its price class, I compared it against the UE Boom 2. I sacrificed the dedicated UE app for a speaker that is slightly smaller and cheaper than the Boom 2 (except when it's on sale). And then I discovered all the hidden options (which all have voice prompts so you know what setting the device is on. 40+ hours battery life has yet to be put to the test, but I'm sure it will at the very least beat out the competition. Now let's talk accessories. The Fugoo actually has some, which gives this speaker some room to grow in the future. I'm looking to invest in the mounting kit and maybe a sturdier case (of which there are three very different options). Durability. Durability. Durability. I don't plan to put it to the test, but I love me some piece of mind when it comes to my electronics. I also appreciate the new flat-folding cables and an accessory bag! So now I've got that going for me. Seriously, I'm pleasantly surprised with all the goodies and options this little speaker comes with. Did I mention I named my speaker "Tetrodotoxin?"

When looking for a portable speaker, I immediately went to look at the Bose Soundlink Mini and was shocked at how well the little cabinet was able to produce the base. It was a bit heavy and bland looking, but I was ready to make the purchase. As I turned to leave Best Buy, I saw the Fugoo Style and its design caught my eye. So I gave it a shot and pushed the demo button. I was blown away by the sound quality. It easily rivals the Bose in both the base and high notes. The design and 40 hour battery life is what put it over the top for me. And, although I haven't tested it yet, the fact that it is waterproof is a nice option. I would and have recommended this speaker to my friends. I might even look at purchasing the XL for a permanent home speaker in the future. If you're in the market, go give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.

Bought two of these for my kids. The sound that comes out of these speakers is amazing - very crisp and clear. Not quite as much bass as my Bose SoundLink II, but listening to the two side by side I have to say that I like the Fugoo's sound better. Even at high volumes, the sound is clear and crisp. Setup was dead simple and the battery life is amazing - with them being played for weeks without a charge. The unit is also waterproof - a good thing with teenagers. Great buy - I highly recommend them.

I was doubt about this company Fugoo. But after purchased and tested about 3 days, I was really shocked because it performs much better than Bose's similar products. The sound coming from this small speaker is hi-fi like: balanced overall frequency, controlled bass, soft mid, clear high. Also, the battery life is just amazing! I have used 3 days without any charging, but the battery seems still near full. It also has shock resistance and some waterproof ability. Wow, simply I think this is the best Bluetooth speaker under 200 so far.

I spent a fair bit of time looking at options for a Bluetooth speaker. After a few weeks of research, I narrowed my options down to the Bose Soundlink Mini II, the UE Roll, and the Fugoo Style. I wasn't a fan of the bass on the Roll, and didn't like the design either, so despite the low cost and high durability, it was dropped first. The Bose Soundlink Mini II sounds slightly better than the Fugoo, with a much beefier bass that's unmatched by anything else on the market, but the Fugoo's 360-degree sound and better balanced audio (i.e., not overemphasizing the bass) made it appeal a bit more to me. Having a 40 hour battery life, complete waterproofing, and swappable "cases" edged me a bit further in the Fugoo's direction, and a sale that brought it down to about 70% of the Soundlink Mini II's price helped me make my decision. So far, I love this thing. It lasts me entire work weeks without needing a recharge, looks great, and came with high quality cables that shows an exceptional level of attention to detail. Sound quality is excellent in many cases - enough that I've started to notice when one artist's album has a generally better quality to it than another's. About my only real complaint is that it doesn't get extremely loud, but the new "loud mode" the most recent firmware added alleviates that issue some (and there's only so much such a small speaker can realistically do). I wholeheartedly recommend the Fugoo speaker - at the $139.00 mark I bought it at, there's little else that can compare for the price.

Bought for my mom as a Christmas gift because she wanted better sound quality in a portable form. It's loud and clear and even has a little bass very happy with the speaker.

Unit sounds very nice sitting on a desk. Clear sound, nice bass, can feel the bass through my desk. Great for laptop, tablet or smartphone. Bluetooth connects quickly and easily. Sound-wise it does not perform well outdoors unless you are sitting very close to it. Holds a charge forever, I use mine several hours a day and charge once a week using my cell phone charger. Great desk or office companion and possibly inside a tent.

I love this speaker, size, battery life, sound quality, nothing i don't like. The Bose sound link is a bit louder and more bass but this Fugoo speaker has the perfect match of bass, mid-range and tweeter for the perfect sound ( better then the Bose ). Loudness is just fine for me, fills a small room great.

The engineering behind these speakers are without a question one of the most thought out. The speakers are water resistant, high clarity and battery life surpass any other high end speakers on the market. The sound quality is crisp, mids are well balanced, and bass is not heavy but warm and prominent.

Came across the fugoo while researching for a new portable speaker. Was looking at the Boom as well. Haven't gotten to to use it too much yet, got it mainly for travel, beach trips, etc- but so far, so good- great sound quality, connects easily- and it tells you when connected. Feels solid, well constructed. Haven't had a chance to test the batter life yet, but if I get half he time it claims, I will be very happy. Highly recommend.

I love the size of this speaker. I use it for travelling and it fits great in my suitcase. The fact that it is waterproof and sand proof makes it even better. It has great sound quality with decent lows and good highs. I think it sounds better when it is sitting about 6 inches from a wall. It works well in a small room like a bathroom rather than a large living area. It is more for individual or small group use rather than powering a party. I love it. Perfect for my needs.

My wife wanted a small blutooth speaker for Christmas. I was going to buy her a good one from one of the quality speaker brands I knew. After reading all the great online reviews about this Fugoo speaker, I decided to compare it to the others. It was the best sounding of the bunch. I bought it for her and she loves it. It's very fast to connect, easy to use, and sounds amazing.

I really am amazed at how nice this product is. Great sound for the size and waterproof to boot. I was using it in my garden and got some soil on the speaker grill when I picked it up to do inside. My friend was horrified when I squirted a little dishwashing liquid on the stain and put it under running water. The stain came out and a I expected it still works perfectly. Also, the power on, off, blue tooth connection, and power left indicator is audible and is so easy to know if the thing is off or how much power is left. Plays for hours on a charge, my phone runs out of battery long before this does. Great value for the money

If could would rate 4.5 (Because of Bass) Received this as gift, Like the fact that I can change the outer shell ,I have the Style model.Great Battery life pretty much get whats promised.Not quite the bass as say Bose but pretty good, Like this speaker design over Bose design.Paired easy. Good distance even through walls.

My priorities for this purchase were balanced sound and sufficient volume in a small package. I was replacing one of the original Jamboxes and I was hoping that technology improvements would give me an even better experience five years later. I think the Fugoo was a good choice. It met all of my requirements, sounding at least as good as the Jambox with more volume and a comparable size. Thumbs up.

I am in love with this speaker! beautiful sound can go anywhere washable water shock everything proof. The level of loudness is perfect for me because I have room mates etc it goes higher then you would think. being a musician I appreciate the work and thought the people at fugoo put into this, out of every portable waterproof speaker available this is top of the line.

The amazing volume, clarity and siri controls impressed everyone who has seen/heard it operate. Battery life is extremely long. This is a fantastic product.

This is a great speaker. It is small in size but has great sound. Very clear and having a speaker that is rugged but stylish is uncommon.
