    Great! Helping me lose weight

I LOVE my VivoFit2! I did tons of research before buying this particular band. For one, I love that the display is always on. I have it set to 'time' so I can just glance down and see the time without having to touch or swipe it. I'm a busy mom and often have my hands full- so it's nice to be able to just look at my wrist. At night, you just hold the button down to light it up- it's lit a bit all the time so in the day it's easy to see, but at night you just hold the button down and it will light up bright for a few seconds. Also, although this band does not alert me of texts and emails, the trade-off is that it has a one year battery! I always carry my phone with me anyway so I don't mind not getting double alerts. I'd rather have the luxury of not having to charge it every few days. As well as that, it's totally waterproof so showering and even swimming at the beach are fine. (I just rinse the saltwater off afterward.) It's easy to sync with the 'GarminConnect' phone app- and the cool thing is the app can be linked to 'MyFitnessPal' and show not only calories burned but also how many I've eaten. I just log food into MyFitnessPal and the calories consumed are also shown on the Garmin app- and vice versa, the steps and calories burned are shown in MyFitnessPal. I think the instant feedback and daily monitoring are really helping me lose weight. It's very motivating for me. I will say the Garmin app is a little odd but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. Also the band will adjust your daily step goals, so if one day you walk 10000 the next day your goal will be a bit higher. But, on the other hand, if you're a couch potato one day, it will drop your goal a bit for the following day. It keeps you motivated realistically. A few things are even better than I learned in my research! For one, I was 'warned' that this band will alert you with sound if you've been sitting too long. It's true- it does with a red line at the top of the band and also a little chime. However, the software has been updated so you CAN turn off the chime if you're working in an office or in a meeting. Also, with the software update, you don't have to 'tell' it that you're going to bed and then let it know when you wake. Although you can do this manually, it's not necessary anymore. The sleep monitor is not as detailed as some other fitness bands, but it's enough for me. It measures length of sleep as well as movement, and deep and light sleep patterns. One more reason i chose this band is the actual band itself. The device actually just pops in the band- so if your band breaks or you want to swap it out for fancy ones, you can! The clasp is very secure. I've had mine on for 3 weeks straight and it's been fine. Comfy because I'm used to wearing a watch anyway. And some other fitness bands are one piece, so you can't change the band easily. So I like the option of getting fancy with it if I chose to. Tons of bands available online in all colors and kinds. (just beware the clasps on these other 3rd party bands might not be as secure as the Garmin brand.) The heart rate monitor is great, comfortable and easy to use. I forgot to take it off once- I just forgot it was there. It syncs up easily to the band. So I hope my information was helpful! Normally I don't write reviews but I really love my Vivofit2! Here's a picture- my wrist is small so it might not look as big on your wrist.

It has a clock, it's waterproof and has a secure band. I haven't taken it off since I bought it. Both the band and the chest strap seem to work fine. It automatically syncs and detects sleep. I have a standing desk and it doesn't detect that so the red inactivity bar builds until you walk around.

I am surprised how easy this device is to use. I got a great deal through price matching. I probably did not need the heart monitor because I prefer simple usage and data capture of my daily activities. But it's a nice to have as I increase my exercise. Buy it, you'll be glad you did. (P.S. the best thing about it to me is the sleep charting. Awesome data!)

Good size. Had some problems setting up but that was probably my fault. I like that I don't have to charge it every day.

The only features that work well are steps, clock, date, miles, and sync to my android phone. The heart monitor failed to tell the correct beats per minutes by 40-50 beats(150bpm). I thought I was having a heart attack. It scared me. But when I felt the pulse manually, it turned out to be about 100bpm which is normal for someone who is working out at the moment. I bought it on 12.2.2015

A good product to keep you active. However, the band is a little uncomfortable to wear. Keeps track of your steps taken and how long you've been sitting. If you've been sitting too long it makes you get up and move.

I like the watch and the easiness and quality, but i wish the heart rate monitor was built in, for this reason we did return the watch for one with a heart rate monitor.

We appreciate the feedback you have provided. We understand you needed a different product. This particular model was not designed with a HRM built in. Garmin does have the vívosmart HR, which includes Optical HR, through the wrist. Best regards. ~QKO Garmin

Used for a few months and it was okay. I used it in conjunction with the HRM. I was looking for something that I didn't have to wear a strap around my waist to get my HRM. I decided on something else. I liked that you didn't have to charge it. It was more like a watch than anything.

Best Battery Life, Water Proof and Style

1 Year battery life, water proof to 165', many different bands including some designer metal and leather bands. The best of what I was looking for in a fitness tracker. Monitors my sleep and heart rate (w/ chest strap). The only 2 things I wish it had: GPS and heart rate monitor built into the back of the watch.

The HR monitor is a huge separate piece, although not pictured or detailed this way in the description, specs, etc. It's worth the extra $20 for Fitbit HR or a one piece tracker to not look like you're hooked up to life support. I asked a friend to lend me a hand so I can give it 4 thumbs down.
