This microwave is such an excellent value! We installed GE Cafe appliances in our kitchen, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend almost $1K on their microwave. I wanted to match the Cafe aesthetic and stay with the GE brand, so I found this one instead. It looks great and is a perfect fit in the pantry shelf. It has all the bells and whistles I wanted (turn table, one touch cooking) and fits in perfectly with the Cafe appliances. It heats food evenly and well. We are very satisfied with this purchase.

You know when something is not for you? Well I had ordered a different microwave from Amazon and it came sent and scratched. They sent out a replacement and it got lost so I went where I knew I should have gone to (bestbuy) where I normally buy my kitchen appliances and got this one. I’m so happy I did. It’s beautiful. The design fits my aesthetic perfectly and it works great. It’s so easy to use although I only use it to reheat my daily tea and sometimes my meals. The time to heat up my food is shortened because of how well it heats up and I like that. I would definitely recommend.

Old microwave kicked the bucket after 8yrs. I guess i didnt realize how bad it was running until we picked this up. Forgot how fast a good microwave heats things up. Was worried going to a smaller microwave but it fits everything we normally cook having a house of 6. Works great and dont have to worry about making sure things are cooked at the instruction time.

I was replacing a built in microwave. I decided not to bother with the trim kit. It seems better to have it open for ventilation and just to get to it. My old one was prob close to 18ish years old. They made them taller back then so this one w/ same cubic feet is about 2 inches shorter and the trim kits would have required me to alter the woodwork. Anyway it is fine how it is. The thing is heavy enough it does not slide around when I push the button. So far I have made popcorn which it sensed and popped perfectly with no kernels left unpopped. Very impressive. I also heated some water and made a frozen meal, all perfect. The unit is pretty deep but not as deep as some 1.6 units. Also there is a bump out so it is not that depth all across and I had 21" to play with and had no issues with the cord at all. Finish only has stainless in the trim on the front. The top and sides are black which is fine with me as it's easier to keep clean. the stainless holds fingerprints but it's not hard to wipe off. buttons are not super easy to press but also not as bad as others. button to open it requires a minimum of effort and like I said none of that causes the microwave to slide back. Prob because it's pretty heavy. I'd say it weighs about 35-40lbs. One thing I will mention. GE could put more padding around this thing. It has Styrofoam on top and down the side a few inches and on the bottom up a few inches but nothing much in the middle front back or sides. Also the foam is hard foam and cracks/falls apart easily. The reason I mention this is that the first one was clearly dropped or something. There was a dent in the box. Anyway the front panel was broken off and the ring that makes it turn which is set in on the top of the foam was cracked. The second one was fine but I noticed when removing it from the box the foam cracked. They would do better to use better quality foam that fully covers the entire microwave. I went through chat on best buy to get the replacement. That part worked out fine they ordered me another no charge, but they never marked the first one as being returned. Then I asked for a little discount for my trouble they told me to come back when I got the new one and they would take care of me. When I did they reneged on that offer. Plus I noticed that the old one was not marked returned so it appeared I had two microwaves. So I showed them on the tracking that the old one was returned and they must have pressed the wrong button because now it says it's waiting for them to return it with a completely different ups tracking number. Its weird because Best Buy is the one that issued a pickup w/ UPS in the first place but somehow they never tagged the first correct tracking number to the order. The chat help was no help at all. They told me to ignore it but to me I could be held liable for the other one since it appeared I had never returned it. I did end up going to FB chat for Best Buy and that guy seemed like he was a little more on the ball and said he was going to contact someone to fix it. We will see how long that takes. In the meantime I made sure to save all the emails chats and paperwork.

i purchased this "open box" and paid extra for EXCELLENT condition, which is supposed to be "Works and looks like new. restored to factory settings. Includes all original parts, packaging and accessories." My son was moving to the other side of the state and I could get two day shipping with this option. I am completely willing to pay for a "new in box" unit but it would have taken new unit would taken a week or more to ship. Received item in timely manner (2 days) but did not open the box until he arrived at his new house. He opened a box that had clearly been re-taped (not factory). The turntable was missing. The button to push to open the door was not attached to microwave. the door to microwave was bent so badly that the microwave would not close. He returned it to the closest location to his new neighborhood and without even looking into the situation, the associate told him "that's what happens sometimes when you buy a used item." I find this pretty unacceptable, especially from a business that I have found to be very reputable in many years past. While the item was eventually returned with refund, he has to wait another 8 days to have new unit delivered to store at full price I will continue to shop at Best Buy but I want to make everyone aware that you do not always get what you pay for.

I really like this microwave from GE.The 1.6 Cu.Ft is convenient and fits large plates.It also heats food up really well I was very happy with it's performance.One thing with it that I'm not a fan of it's a little loud but not crazy loud to where it's a deal breaker.The other thing is the front glass gets fogged up and it's between the glass where you can't get to to wipe it clear, but goes away shortly after opening the door or taking the hot food out.For the price,size,and performance it's a good microwave and I'm happy with it so far.

Great value! Unit is quiet, heats food quicker and more evenly than my old Profile GE that it replaced. I had the space to fit in cabinet and had a custom made trim at Microtrim.com for a finished look, all for a much lower price than the Profile series.

This is exactly what I was shopping for. It’s 1150 Watts, not too small and not too big. It fits my counter perfectly and matches all other appliances. It gets the job done!

This microwave fit exactly into our cabinet space & the trim kit was a perfect fit. Lots of room around the microwave inside the cabinet. Our GE cafe discontinued model that was only used for 3.5 yrs stopped working. It was multifunctional with convection, bake, microwave etc and cost over $800. We only used the microwave so this was a perfect replacement. Highly recommend if all you want is a microwave.

I personally think GE microwaves are the simplest to operate and the controls just make sense. Has sensor cooking options including dinner plate, reheat, beverage, popcorn, etc which is nice especially for reheating. Has express cooking to start easily by 30 seconds or 1 minute through 6 minutes. The other thing that is really nice with this microwave is after it is done heating, if you don't take stuff out of the microwave it will beep every minute until you take it out. This is hugely helpful in case you are busy and forget you have something in the microwave, I love this GE feature. Nice glass turn table with a lip so if something boils out of the container it helps to keep it from going over the side of the turn table plate. Plenty of capacity, it'll actually fit more than a whole 12 inch frozen pizza in this thing. Overall I highly recommend this microwave.

I purchased this microwave online as open box excellent condition and curbside pickup. Arriving at the curbside was long and confusing even though I had arrived 30 mins after the store opened, but that's another story. I noticed the price was different on the box then what I paid online so called and received the price difference. Once I got it home and used it for the fit time, it immediately was making a strange noise when I came on and turned off. The noise continued. I ordered another one after reading the reviews again, but was a bit disappointed to find that others had the same issue. Hoping for the best I reordered and had another delivered and returned the first one. I'm hoping that this microwave will last a while since it was almost $200. I got it for the opened box price but still, it should last for more that 5-7 yrs and not 1 or 2 like some people have experienced. So far so good with the replacement. Fingers crossed and prayers ascended it last a long time. I like the look of it and the features are good. It's smaller than a full size but perfect for most meals.

Needed a new microwave when our old one (1200 watts) died. We wanted another of the same brand, same watts, but were unable to find one we liked. Best Buy had many microwaves on display, so we were able to check them all out to see which would best meet our needs. We wanted a "larger" size, turntable, close to 1200 watts. This GE microwave meets all our needs, and we had no issues setting it up or using it. Clock set up was one button! We use this multiple times during the day and are very happy with our purchase.

Good product. Heats well. Its a little loud but that might be because I’m used to a smaller powered microwave.

This microwave is a great size and works well for all of our needs. It features easy one push warm ups.

Love the reheat feature and humidity sensor and never having to stir pasta. Popcorn feature is the best full pop results with no burn. Touch panel is hard to see, wish it was lighted, must use light at night. The timer is only a manual shut off, annoying. Get the paper manuel and the options are amazing to know all that is available.

In service for about a month 4.5 Stars so far !! Takes up less counter space then previous Panasonic Yet has larger internal space
