Customers are delighted by the 24" Front Control Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher with 3rd Rack's quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance, praising its spacious interior and the added convenience of the third rack. However, some users experienced issues with the product's reliability and longer-than-expected cycle times. The dishwasher's ease of use and attractive price point were also frequently highlighted.

Overall this is a nice dishwasher with some cool features like dedicated water jets for the silverware, a third rack for cooking utensils for things like spatulas, larger silverware, small lids, etc, and bottle jets. However the inside of the dishwasher seems a little cheap. The inside of the door is plastic and not stainless steel like my last dishwasher and the dish racks have a lot of play in them when you pull them out and push them back in. They do not roll smoothly and make a lot of noise when moving them. Just seems very loose. Also the clip that matches the door closed was broken (see attached pic). It still functions but I’m afraid it’s going to break off over time and will no longer hold the door closed. Also Best Buy, you should tell your delivery drivers/helpers to be a little more personable. I greeted them and told them where to go with the dishwasher and neither said a word back. Not even a “Hi”. They both seemed like they hated their job.

Our existing dishwasher finally kicked the bucket. We chose this model due to price and features including the top drawer for silverware. Installation was a breeze and have not looked back since. Thanks!

Love this dishwasher! Runs so quiet, I can have it running while working from home. I literally work right next to it. The first time we ran it, we heard the water run but not much else. We were like is it even working? After about a minute we could hear it, but barely. To test it out, we did not scrub or rinse off anything. We were so amazed! Even my casserole dish came out spotless. Love it! Two reasons I do not give it 5 stars. First is where you put your jet dry. The hole to put it in, is so small, I thought surely there is a bigger hole somewhere. After going through the owners manual, and researching online, there was nothing that explained the best way to add the jet dry to the tiny hole. Maybe it is operator error, but I can not figure out a good way to add the jet dry without wasting some, because the hole is so small. Also, the rubber seal at the door doesn't appear to be great design. We are concerned that if we keep rolling the bottom rack over it, that over time it will damage that seal. So, when I pull out the rack, I always try and remember to lift it up and over that seal. Other than that, very happy with my Christmas present from the hubs! Looks beautiful in the kitchen too

It’s certainly true that appliances don’t last as long as they did 30 years ago! This replaced a DW from 2016. This dishwasher does have the added feature of a 3rd rack — which is located at the very top. The sanitizing and boost and dry cycle are also great to use. So far, all is holding up well. The spinning, water sprayer arm can pop off, but is easy to put back in place.

This dishwasher is great! On pots and pans settings it runs for a long time but the dishes get cleaned, even with hard water. The extra silverware drawer up top is used a lot in my large family. Love and recommend

Good overall performance. Very reasonable noise level. GE should include the 120 VAC cable with the device and should not depend on the customer to supply that. Also the 3/4 to 3/8 inlet water adapter should be included to make our life a bit easier. The 3rd tray is definitely a plus. The 2 supplied black plastic covers to be used on the edges ( similar to door brushes ) are nice additions which provide professional finish.

I've been very happy with this dishwasher so far. I enjoy the too rack for odd utensils. However, there is no option to run a rinse only. I don't fill it fast enough to run frequently, so a rinse feature would be nice so it doesn't smell.

I'm from the era that you pre-rinse your dishes. I am getting out of that habit as this GE dishwasher cleans just great. It is quieter than the crusty one that was replaced. Make sure you have the Finish drying agent compartment filled. If not the dishes will not properly dry, I found that out the first week as I thought something was wrong with dishwasher, it was user error. I regularly use the Heavy setting and then the bottle washer as needed.

Since we are changing all of our appliances over to GE, the dishwasher was the 4th major appliance that was changed out due to the older dishwasher leaking, and in need of replacement. Installation was straight forward after removing the older unit. Since I wasn't sure if all the hose connections would be the same, and since the stainless braided hoses should be replaced every 5 years anyways, I also purchased the installation kit for this unit from Best Buy as well. The main water line into the dishwasher needs a 1/4" flex line to garden hose style adapter. Installation of the power line can be either via a 3 prong cord, or hardwired. We were missing 4 of the self-tapping screws that are used to mount the bracket cabinet brackets to the dishwasher, and the screws to go into the cabinet itself. #8 x 5/8" self tapping screws work very well for replacing the missing screws. If you have a standard 24" wide opening under the cabinet, you won't need the side seals, as these prevent the unit from being installed flush with the top of the counter top. There is additional sound proofing material that comes with this unit, and gets installed under the kick panel in the front. This unit also comes with the drain hose, and a garbage disposal fitting, as well as hose clamps. In addition to being super quiet, a 24" box fan on low speed is louder than this unit when running! There are multiple settings for cleaning cycles, as well as a sanitizing cycle. There is ample room for silverware, and large pans, and even cookie sheets! The top rack has 3 adjustable heights, and also has water jets for super cleaning. We are really pleased with how well this unit functions, and performs.

Overall very satisfied. Previous 'Whirlpool' unit never did dry properly. Nice to not have to deal with that. When removed from packaging, the legs were all slightly bent. Straightened them with no problem. Cable on door seems a bit flimsy (string, not metal) and expect issues with that down the road.

When you push the bottom rack in the silverware tray pulls the seal off. It doesn't matter how good it cleans dishes when I have to repair it everytime I put silverware in it. Very disappointed!!

A review after a few weeks of ownership for anyone considering this model. Receipt: Really easy! Ordered online on Wednesday and had it that Saturday. BB dropped off new and hauled away old in under 5 minutes. Masked and gloved; No muss or fuss. Part of the reason I went with this, was the potential for a fast turn around. And they did not disappoint. Installation: Not difficult, but took half a day for me. I chalk that up to this being my 1st dishwasher replacement. No special tools required. I got by just fine w/ screwdriver, ratchet, wire cutter, wrench and level. I am glad I got their install kit. I didn't have the wire nuts, and clamps. Replacing the feed line wasn't a bad idea either. It saved me a trip to the box store in the era of COVID. Annoying, that manufacturers go cheap on these small connector items. Impressions: It's Plastic Fantastic on the inside, but not in a completely cheap or bad way. It seems like a solid build. I would call it a working man's special: more practical than flashy. It won't impress your image conscious in-laws, but it will get the job done (it's a dishwasher for God's sake.. not a particle accelerator). 3rd rack is nice and makes up for no door based cutlery basket and that gives you some flexibility. I was glad to see this feature on a medium range unit. Trays seem plenty deep and big enough. Nice wash options and I do like front facing controls that show you remaining time and your chosen wash options. Specs say operation is louder than other new units, but I really didn't find it that bad. I kinda like the white noise of it in the background after your wash up and are relaxing. Negatives: These are really minor nit picks, given the good price, so take them with a grain of salt. I don't like the door clasp. It's just a cheap plastic wedge you force snap the door too. I expect that to wear down quick. The LEDs are super bright and they ping annoyingly when you press them. Would of been nice to have some option to tone the button interface down. There was an initial chemical smell but it's gone now after a few empty washes alternating White Vinegar and Baking soda. Dishes do tend to come out a little wet and the run time can be longer (I think this is true of all the new units, to make them meet energy requirements?) but if I run it with longer & hotter options it doesn't seem to be an issue. Regrets: I probably ended up going a little cheaper than I had meant too. If I had to do it again, I would try to upgrade to a metal tub. But I am really not that unhappy at this price point. I am not going to return it now. If I get 3-5 years of problem free use out of it, I will call it a a fair trade off. If I get more than that, then I call it a good deal. If I replace it in a few years, then the lessons learned here on how to install one will help me out.

Overall great dishwasher! Lots of room, many different cycles to choose from. Very quiet while running. The bottle jets are a useful addition and I love the 3rd rack for utensils, bottle tops etc. (tall utensils can stop the spinning arm if they are just placed in the silverware rack). The only complaint I have is that the dishwasher seems a bit slow. If you select several of the cleaning options it can take over 3 hours for the cycle to finish, but there is a 1 hour option. I would definitely recommend.

Cleans very well, it's quiet. I like the third rack and the fact that it's removable to allow taller items to fit in the top rack. The one drawback is that the run time takes too long.

Replaced my previous GE dishwasher as it seemed to do such a great job until the circulating pump went out. I was excited to get the 3rd rack and bottle washer feature along with a more silent noise rating. It is very very similar to my old model, and even seems to have a lot of the same parts. I was not a fan of the new design that has the removable silverware caddy taking up so much space inside the bottom rack. My previous GE allowed me to fill the bottom rack to capacity, and hand the caddy on the front of the rack and close the door. My old rack and caddy fits this unit, but before I did that I discovered that all of my silverware fits nice and uniformly in the 3rd rack. Not only can I fit so much more into it, I can pull the whole tray out and pluck the silverware from my countertop and put it in the drawers easily. I can also place long utensils and sharp knives in there tucked away from my kids fingers when she goes to get a cup for water. Nice peace of mind. Another great feature is there is a quick wash feature, and the main wash only takes 80 mins. The operating sound (while higher pitched than my previous GE), is overall quieter. This dishwasher isn't without a few disappointments. This 3rd rack does take up some 2nd rack real estate, so our larger cups no longer fit up there. The bottle washers are only useful if you are putting baby bottles on them. Any other drinking bottle is far too long to fit. Last but not least EVERY single time we place a cup, glass, or anything deeper than a small bowl on any corner of the upper rack it gets sediment build-up. We always had to pluck those 4 items after each wash and hand rinse the sediment out. From now on we just place shallow/wider items there to save the hassle. Would I buy this dishwasher again? Yes. I've had a few other brands and have seen friends and family switch to the GE's and love them after having "bad" dish washers.

A truly load and forget dishwasher. No prewash required. Super quiet. Love the third rack. Load my silverware in there and took the silverware rack out. More room for dishes and pans. Install was very easy. Replaced a ge that was 8 years old, still ran but rack fell apart.

OK first... what I like about this dishwasher: 1- it does a nice job of getting the dishes clean even without prerinsing. 2. It’s very quite 3. The silverware rack -the extra rack makes it very easy to load and unload. No more grabbing the ends of the silverware to put them away. Also don’t need to bend over. 4. The bottle washers - these help with sports bottles 5. The cycle is fairly quick and it seems to dry better than my previous GE unit Now- the only reason I don’t give this a 5 is the front control Buttons- I have started the unit countless times just by bumping the start button. Really seems like you should have to hold it a second or two prior to it engaging. Not a huge deal but it can be a bit annoying
