Perfect dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect dishwasher.... it cleans dishes very well. The jets for bottles/cups are a super convenient. The extra top rack is perfect for small things that would otherwise fall through the regular rack. The controls are on the top of the door when you open it so they are not in view when the door is closed. It's fingerprint resistant and perfect for a family with small children. Overall a great dishwasher.

At least it was on sale
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to replace an LG dishwasher in December of 2019, so while I'm glad that we got the failed before the pandemic hit us like a ton of bricks and we'd be home all the time with the kids and thus more dishes, I and am constantly reminded that this is an inferior appliance. If anything, I'll say that the dishwasher gets 0 stars and that the 1 star is in favor of the Best Buy rep working to get this appliance delivered as a previous dishwasher model was being delayed by manufacturing delays for a couple months and hadn't shipped (despite being "ready for delivery" 3 separate times, but that's a different issue). Physically, the door has begun to lean forward too far so the bottom tray no longer rolls out easily, and I'm not sure if this is a failure of the hinges or the open/close assist mechanism. Also, the plastic chrome trim on the left top of the control panel popped off and will not stay in place; attempts to re-secure it have failed. Finally, there was an issue with the install: the rubber seal on the right wasn't seated correctly and ended up being pinched by the door, which eventually lead to a leak. Had to use nails to secure the outside to the cabinet to keep it from folding back in and that side of the seal just needs to be replaced. To start the cleaning cycle, the door needs to be closed just-right; if you don't, it angrily beeps at you and you need to open the door, cancel the cycle and restart. This happens about every-other run of the dishwasher. The touch buttons don't always seem to accept input either, and my wife has issues sometimes getting it to register her fingers. In regards to cleaning, this dishwasher fails to clean dishes as well as the LG did; the dishwasher detergent and the dirtiness of the dishes being loaded hasn't changed. We're regularly having to hand clean a dish or two our of every load, and the larger casserole dishes (9x9, 13x9, or 8-in round) never come out clean. Aside from cleaning being an issue it doesn't seem to dry dishes as well as the LG either; the drying rack needs to be empty when the dishwasher is being emptied as there will be plenty of items that need to air dry. LG had the entire bottom rack able to fold down, but the half of the bottom tray that can fold down on this is the one for the plates; it should be the completely straight side so you can place a large dish face down next to the plates. Then again, it probably won't clean the large dish (see above). Also, the LG had part of the top rack able to fold down and this didn't. In fact, I don't recall very many of the models available having this functionality.

Posted .Hello, thank you for your review. We are sincerely sorry that your dishwasher is not cleaning your dishes properly and that the seal is not keeping water from leaking out. We understand how that would be frustrating, especially with children and the pandemic that has affected us all, and would love to look into this further as this is not the ownership experience we strive for. If you haven't done so already, we recommend you schedule service with us by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET or Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET or by visiting the "Schedule Service" link under the "Owner Support" tab on our website. Additionally, we have passed your comments along to our dishwasher design and development team for future consideration and improvement. -Chris@GEA

Refurbished GE dishwasher sold as a new one!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased a new GE dishwasher from Best Buy online (+$900). The home delivery was quick, and smooth, delivery crew dropped big box in my kitchen and left, all took about 5 min. I was wondering why they didn’t ask me to sign any papers, but since my name and address ware on a sticker, I didn’t ask. When I opened the box, the dishwasher looked great, protective foil at the front, on the panel, and lots of protective tapes, like on every new appliance. But when I opened the dishwasher …. Surprise…. Inside looks like the dishwasher was used for some time, scratches on the walls along the baskets’ wheels, stains, wear off seals, and dirty water inside the filter. When I removed the insulation fabric, which surprisingly just loosely lay on the dishwasher, I found out that someone was trying to fix leaking chamber, there was a lots of freshly applied sealant on all seams, the sealant job looks very sloppy. Best Buy sold me a refurbished appliance as a new one! It is a disaster! Very disappointed!

Dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dishwasher did not come with all its parts missing glass holder and no instructions. Called got hung up on twice while geek squad was scheduling a new dishwasher told me they would call back but didn’t. I won’t buy anything else from Best Buy, the scratched my new wood floor putting the dishwasher in and broke a piece off my storm door when putting it back on. Best Buy no thank you!

Pieces epoxy together to form one piece of junk!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this dishwasher one year now and it has had problems with the fan, leaking, and now the top was arm came off. We had a repair person out and they showed us it was put together with pieces of stainless steel tub parts, not one piece like it is suppose to be. Where they used epoxy to seal the pieces together is cracking. Pass on this dishwasher, GE’s quality is terrible. We are no fighting to get this dishwasher replaced or refunded. Good luck everybody!

Awesome dishwasher, great price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this dishwasher on sale at a great price of $679.99. Been using for about a month now and absolutely love this dishwasher. This dishwasher replaces a 5 year old Samsung dishwasher with waterfall (the waterwall motor ending up breaking on me). Had all Samsung appliances in the past, but due to quality issues, been switching over to GE appliances. This dishwasher cleans great, is easy to use, has a lot of very nice features (3rd rack, utensil basket jets, bottle washing jets), and is super quiet. It even has an Ethernet port on it so you can connect up the optional GE wifi adapter to make it a smart appliance. I plan on trying that later this year. My favorite feature is the 3rd rack. My old dishwasher did not have one, but now with the 3rd rack, I use it actually a lot more than I thought I would.

Very quiet and sleek dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this GE Profile dishwasher to match our other appliances. We were replacing an older Kitchen Aid model. It seems that dishwashers last 8-10 years. Our Kitchen Aid lasted 12 years. This GE is even quieter and love the bottle jets for those extra dirty glasses. Cleans well, as expected. The top third drawer is very slim (only able to fit silverware and low-profile dishes, cups, etc. The top edge controls are great and make the front look even more sleek. And the pocket handle now allows us to open that notorious drawer that hit the handle of our prior model. I would definitely recommend.

What a difference
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Checked the boxes for all the features. The third rack drew us to the start, but all the power jets and hard food disposer made the decision. Compared to our old dishwasher, this one is whisper quiet. Dishes come out very clean. A little disappointed that we need the dry boost at the end which which we never needed on our old one, but much better than doing them by hand.

Mixed thoughts on this one.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My grandfather would chastise me for buying a GE product. I hesitated to even give this 4 stars. My biggest issue is I had an amazing Whirlpool dishwasher and this feels like a downgrade. The top rack jets went out on my old one and it was just more than I wanted to spend on fixing a unit that old. I didn't want to spend a lot on a new one either and this had all the features I needed: stainless interior, food disposal, and removeable/cleanable filters. I also like the bottle jets although didn't require them. This does a decent job but you gotta have it on the heavy setting and add the heat boost, but the most annoying thing is it feels really, really cheap. I just can't see the racks holding up over time. I find this with my Kenmore refrigerator also. It's frustrating to always be replacing parts. But if you aren't downgrading, I think you will like it as it does wash well if you add some boosts and don't try to use the normal setting which is really the energy saver setting if you read the manual.

what we hoped for and more
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dishwasher is quiet beyond our imagination, our tea kettle is louder. The concealed buttons mean we're no long starting our dishwasher by accident. The bottle jets are an amazing feature, as is the flatware spray. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

GE Profile dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that this machine is quiet; we barely notice it when operating. It looks nice and I like that it does not have a handle protruding from its face. I don’t necessarily like the top shelf for flatware. It takes away space from the rack holding glassware making it difficult to wash taller drinking glasses even when the rack is adjusted lower.

amazing quality so far
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this installed for a few weeks now. It's really quiet and cleans things that I'd previously had to hand wash. For example, I'd left a mug of tea in the garage and didn't notice it for 2 weeks. half of the liquid had evaporated away, leaving rings all down the side. The mug came out perfectly clean. Very impressive. I am not sure how anyone could feel this is noisy; maybe the sound insulation got missed or something. I left the bottom front insulating piece and the toe kick off for a week after installing it, so I could make sure there were no leaks. and it was quiet then. After installing the last bit of insulation at the bottom front and the toe kidk, it's even better. the jets that are specific to the utensils and the top rack work very well. I haven't used the bottle washer feature yet, or the steam. If this lasts, it will have been a very good purchase indeed. I got it on sale, so the value field will get full marks.

Great Dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had it for a month so far its been a great dishwasher. Plenty of room for all sorts of dishes and the 3rd rack is a plus. The fingerprint resistant works like charm. Since the controls are hidden the front panel indicator shows when its washing, drying, and clean nice little feature. Another plus, its actually very quiet.

This GE dishwasher is a great and quiet.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An extremely quiet and attractive dishwasher that holds large loads and gets them clean and dry. Unlike most current dishwashers, this unit still has an internal heating element to heat wash and rinse water for a clean sanitized and dry dishes. It is so quiet I seldom notice when it is running.

Cleans & drys well, bottom rack can be improved
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It cleans really well. All our dishes come out dry. we can fit a lot of dishes in. Very happy with the performance except for the bottom rack. There is one issue with the bottom rack, while pulling it out when its full of dishes the wheals bumps on the door before getting on the door. Many time the wheals attachment came off. Now we slightly lift it while pulling it out. Also I put a zip tie around it so that the wheels attachment at the bottom of the rack don't come out.

I can fit so many dishes etc in this thing. It has a lot of innovated features like bottle jets, steam function, etc. In addition to being a feature rich dishwasher it is also very quiet.

Decent dishwasher but whish i had gotten a bosch
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice unit. Was extremely quiet. A few months later its starting to develop a bit of a high pitch whine to it. Cleans well enough. Could use a bit of a redesign of the wire racks as glasses sometimes fall over and some of our square plates tilt thru the wires and the sprayer tends to hit on the plates thru the bottom of the racks. Mostly good enuf.

A good choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great dishwasher. Quiet, dries everything well. The top rack is good for silverware or larger utensils if it's a big load. The only thing that I have a problem with is during the drying cycle it makes a louder noise. Going to have someone take a look . Maybe its a malfunction.

So Quiet! So Clean!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very quiet, barely notice it is on if not standing right in front of it. Dishes much cleaner, now. It can take a little longer to go through the cycle than expected but I have to say, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
