    This is a very nice washing machine...HOWEVER, it is a top loader. As of now, I find that it struggles with bath rugs and/or coverlets/comforters...easily coming unbalanced...Now, if I can figure out how to ensure that it can handle these simple items that my front loader did with ease, I would upgrade my rating. It handles all the other basic laundry/towels/sheets with no issue...very efficient..

    I would give this machine negative stars. The washer and dryer were supposed to be delivered the same day. I only received the washer. 1). Washed three loads, each on a different setting. The washer is not quiet. 2). Made small and large holes in 10 clothing items and some with multiple holes. 3). Shrunk a few other clothing items (in cold water). 4). None of the settings took out stains (my previous Whirlpool took out every stain, but they don't sell that model anymore). 5). None of the loads came out very clean even after a second wash, and I could clean it better by hand. 6). Almost all preset settings are hot water. 7). There was water between the rim of the glass window seal on the outside when it was closed. 8). There was water on the lid inside that ran down the window back onto the clothes when you opened it. 9). There was still water in the machine after one of the loads, which had to be drained and rewashed. 10). The wifi does not stay on, so you can't use it. 11). For one load, it kept unbalancing and stopping, and the wash had to restart each time. I had several pictures but could not upload them. I received a "sorry, upload failed" message. I tried changing the setting, but nothing worked. This machine is the worst and does not do what it advertises. So disappointed, frustrated, annoyed, and unhappy that I've had to spend so much time (that I don't have) dealing with this, after waiting three weeks for delivery.

    Love the color, holds a lot of clothes. Washer got off balance a few times, but not terrible.

      Hello- Thanks so much for your purchase! This washer is amazing to say the least and we are so happy you are loving the color and the capacity capabilities and all the great features. All GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch.
      During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor.     We were so excited to purchase a new washer and dryer pair. We had a 6 or 7 year old GE Profile set that worked pretty well but was starting to show its age so we figured it was time to replace them. We ordered the set back in November and they finally came about 2 weeks later. We got them all setup and then noticed that no matter how much detergent you put in the smart dispense it would always show it was empty. The dispenser holds 50oz although the manual says 75 oz. The machine is much louder than our old set and gets out of balance so easy and with heavier bulkier items it's even worse. It likes to add more water to balance and you just end up with soaked towels or blankets. The washer had so many features that we were excited about especially the smart dispense and for it not to work and be dead on arrival was really disappointing. Best Buy has been amazing throughout the entire process. We exchanged for another set and it came about 2 weeks later. The set that came arrived damaged and the delivery team wouldn't bring them inside. Okay, fair enough. We did another exchange and our new set arrived 12/28. We got it all setup and the same issue arose again. The smart dispense continues to show it's empty and doesn't work. I couldn't find any information on this set with this issue. The majority of GE's other sets that have the smart dispense just showed other customers with issues arising after a few weeks or months. I called GE to get some help troubleshooting and although the representative was extremely nice she was just reading from their website and I was doing the steps myself through the manual to no avail. The manual suggests purging the system but it does nothing. Add hot water to the dispenser. Nothing. We were considering just keeping the set but what is the point when the whole entire purchase revolved around having the smart dispense system. We are exchanging this set for another brand. They usually say 3 times is a charm but apparently not for these.
