Good buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery life is pretty atrocious while gaming but that's to be expected from a power hungry 3060 video card. If youre using it for school work or something that doesnt require the video card or processor to work very much, the battery life is much much better. Overall i havent had any issues running games on ultra settings and still getting a consistent 60fps (what i currently have the frame rate capped at). Been pretty happy with it over the 150hrs I've been able to put on it so far.

Great Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A gift to my 13yo son. It handles everything he plays(Fortnite, Apex, COD) with ease at the highest settings. I knocked I star off for only coming with 512ssd. Also updating the RTX drivers wasn’t as simple as just doing it through the Nvidia experience. It kept getting errors so I googled it and had to jump through hoops to update them. Known issue I guess with gigabytes laptops( same with my daughters G5 GB laptop). Also very poor battery life. Overall a solid machine.

Great value and great performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has great value for the price. I got it at $749 on the Black Friday sale. Pros: The CPU is very good for what it is (though it runs fairly hot so be careful and maybe get some thermal paste/liquid metal). The GPU has high performance for what it is (130 watt RTX 3060) and is modestly overclockable, I recommend +100-150 mhz core clock and +400-500 memory clock, but if you want every drop of performance it has without crashing issues, use +175 mhz core clock and +775-815 memory clock. Performs like a desktop 3060 or 2060 super or thereabouts. The screen is an LCD but is very smooth (144 hz) and looks good. Cons: The battery life isn’t that good but since it’s a 49wh battery and it a gaming laptop i’m not surprised. Here are the battery life estimates based on what you’re doing: Gaming: 1-2 hours (depending on the intensity of the game). Web browsing with RTX 3060 preferred: ~3 hours (depending on how many and the intensity of tabs open and background programs). Web browsing with Integrated Graphics preferred: 5-6 hours (also depends). Extra things: The battery is easily removable, with a clip in battery pack slot and the battery pack itself. It has an extra NVMe m.2 slot and a 2.5 inch SSD slot (I believe) inside. In addition, the included SSD is very fast (at least for me). Overall a great value and definitely worth it for $749 and still a decent deal at $1199.
