I have a lot of custom keyboards (GMMK 2, GMMK Pro, Keychron Q2 Max, Wooting HE60, Wooting Two HE, and a few others... + many over-the-counter keyboards like Razer, Corsair, and Asus. This one is my favorite overall! It has a tremendous amount of customization (I was only somewhat interested in this). It supports MX and HE switches or a combination of both. The build quality and feel are unrivaled. Wireless works well but I'm using it wired. Stock Fox HE switches are lubed and sound great! 8k polling option My only Cons are the price is pretty high so I bumped the value down to 4 Stars. The software is still in its infancy and is a little buggy. That will improve with time. It does offer everything needed to take advantage of the capabilities of this amazing keyboard.

fairly new to this but if you’re not aware hall effect is the latest tech in keyboards and controls. one of the earliest company who that I know that start selling a Hall Effect keyboard was Wooting and now i’m so happy that Glorious has decided to create a new like of keyboard with Hall Effect. everybody the Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE Wireless is here! Product Glorious claim GMMK 3 Pro HE is the worlds most customizable gaming keyboard. not really sure if that statement is true considering i’ve never tried other HE keyboard and glorious GMMK 3 PRO would be my latest first experience with this latest tech. GMMK Pro 3 HE has support with Mac and PC, they even included a macOS keycaos for you to switch into. one of the other highlight with these HE keyboards are the Rapid Trigger. key would reset instantly for superior FPS movement and you would also have the ability to customizable your actuation from 0.1 to 4.0mm using the latest Glorious CORE 2.0 this keyboard came with Glorious Fox HE linear magnetic switches that are full designed to take advantage of Hall Effect technology. this 75% keyboard is hands down one of the best feeling keyboard I have ever owned and the weight is impressively heavy! Glorious did such an amazing job creating this beautiful keyboard it features a super fast 8000hz polling rate! you have the ability to use this fully wireless with 2.4ghz or wired with the cord that came in the packages or buy your own coil cables. I match mine with my orange glorious coil cable. don’t forgot GMMK Pro 3 HE wireless is fully customizable. you can gut this whole thing if you want to make improvements/ changes on your own. overall this pre build sounds perfect for my liking. also inside the the packing Glorious included some extra sample keys you can ago ahead and test out your self. you have 6 total Glorious switches that you can test and see which one you prefer. you have Fox He, Lynx HE, Panda HE. Raptor HE, Lynx HE (Silent) and Panda HE (Silent). like what i’ve mentioned earlier this keyboard is heavy has has smooth aluminum finish and honestly it’s hard to move this keyboard because i’m having a hard time picking it up sometimes due to its weight. the weight it’s not a problem I like it speaks premium. beautiful white GPBT keycaps and sounded great. Software make sure to download CORE 2.9 to take advantage of all the feature for GMMK PRO 3. I like the fact that Glorious app is simple very straightforward. i’m still learning myself on certain things about the app. but you have the actuation section you have the ability to activate Rapid Trigger. my currently settings is Global settings with Actuation of 1.0 and a Rapid trigger of 0.3mm from setting you have the option to put your keyboard in standby mode if you’re not using it. it’s very useful if you’re running the keyboard fully wirelessly. Glorious RGB is hands down of the best i’ve experienced as well. the brightness is not dim and offers beautiful color combinations that’s smooth and consistent. i’m still learning how to fully use Dynamic Keystrokes features that allows you to select four different bindings or actions for a single key press. CORE 2.9 also let you save up to 3 profiles. Conclusion Overall my experience with GMMK PRO 3 HE Wireless is beyond what I expected is currently my number one keyboard, I currently own 3 other keyboard and now looks like the Glorious will be used for a very long time. i’ve been testing playing Halo infinite, Apex Legends. Valorant and CS2 with. the beautiful build quality with bright RGB, fully customizable keyboard with Hall Effect Rapid Triggers. this keyboard is not cheap it’s $370 and that’s a lot of money. few things I did not like was the packaging on the wire and key switches were a bit low quality I get it it’s inside the box but if you’re spending almost $400 I expect the full experience is top quality. I also believe the key cap puller that’s included in the box is the wrong type of puller I need the tool does not work properly when trying to pull keys. it’s too thick and you would end up scratching each keys with this key cap puller they included in the box. this need to be updated to the thinner key cap puller. CORE 2.0 have some issue the RGB on the app doesn’t replicate what’s currently being used. it’s an early build so I can give this one a pass. wish it had more tutorials instructions on how key binding fully works. or even Rapid Trigger wish there’s an animation you can test how well these switches works but there’s none. you just have to go by your adjustments to hope it’s fully saved and registered. the layer icon on the keyboard wasn’t fully explained what it does, honestly I more instructions inside CORE 2.0 would go a long way to learn how to fully use each every bit of features you can sink your teeth into.

The GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear, IMHO, is the pinnacle of gaming keyboards. What Glorious has put together in this "Pro" 75% foot print keyboard is nothing short of amazing. From the moment you unbox this beast, you'll notice immediately that it is heavy as an anvil. Some people may not like that but I prefer weighty construction over the more typical lightweight and sometimes cheap feeling gaming keyboard offering these days. Is this a keyboard you'll eagerly want to throw in a backpack and take to your next LAN party or friends home? Probably not... but portability isn't my thing and I'll take that "built like a tank" feeling every day of the week. Before one gets to the stage of tweaking the actuation settings or messing around with the color palette, there will still be this mesmerizing effect of taking in the default Glorious lighting scheme and the typing experience. These Glorious keys are the best I've ever laid my fingers on. They are consistent across the entire board and have an inexplicable feel to them, a smooth travel sound and excellent key caps too. Inside the control center app are a broad selection of light effects I would call excellent and some of the best offered as a grouping of "built ins". Being a multi-functional keyboard, you have the ability to use the onboard 2.4 GHz connectivity, blue tooth (chosen with a slider switch) or a hard wired arrangement - with the included USB-A to USB-C braided cable. The included cable isn't the typical coiled Glorious offering but it is still top quality. As with their other GMMK Pro offerings, there is a rotary dial/switch which is smooth and precise. One thing worth mentioning and I don't consider it a short-fall is that this keyboard has one angle of orientation. In other words, there are no selectable legs underneath - so you'll either like the somewhat low-profile aspect of the orientation or you won't. For me, it's perfect - but everyone is different - so know that going in! All-in-all, the build quality of the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear is simply the best of the best and hits all the right "notes" for my particular taste in gaming keyboards. Moving to the Glorious Core software, you will find everything you need to customize the RGB look and actuation response + macro like functions. From what I can tell, the actuation response of these linear switches is consistent across the adjust-ability range - dare I say - in a "linear" fashion. This is my second experience with customizable actuation points and previously (on a competitors keyboard...) I wasn't much impressed. Not so with this keyboard. It works amazingly well and everyone should find a good 'set point' for their preferred selection of keys. I found my preferred actuation point a little quicker than the default but not too aggressive and set this way, I enjoy typing on this keyboard much more than on my GMMK Pro 3 - which is tethered to my primary, gaming/productivity machine - or had been until now. For those demanding some of the most advanced key binding controls available, you will certainly not be disappointed in what the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% offers in the app. Highlighting the RGB functionality, there is a diffusion plane surrounding the switch bodies that looks amazing without producing a lot of distracting 'hot spots'. There are light strips on the left & right sides of the keyboard frame that look great too and can be programmed to provide feedback - like caps-lock being engaged. I do like that fact that you can change to a Glorious coiled cable or one of a different brand with USB-C termination. And another mind blowing bonus Glorious included with this "kit" are single samples of 4 of their other Glorious HE switches; Fox HE (smooth linear with creamy sound), Lynx HE (smooth linear with marbly sound), Panda HE (rounded tactile with a thocky sound) and finally Raptor HE (clicky sound & feel). More mfg's should offer this type of switch introduction, considering what keyboard are costing now days and I'm not surprised one-bit that Glorious added this touch. For those that simply want the best, this keyboard is totally flexible and does it all - - and is probably the one keyboard I can confidently say is worth every penny. Pros: Solid, heavy & dense construction with absolutely no structural resonances Excellent lighting diffusion plane and crisp key cap shine-through The key caps are perfect - but that is totally subjective Removable USB cable - USB-C connection point. Yes!!! Up to 8K polling rate and as low as 2 ms response time control Rapid Trigger, Customizable Actuation Point & Dynamic Keystroke + Advanced key binding capability Sample switches included for those eager to move to something different - down the road Well designed/laid out Glorious Core control center app Cons: Absolutely none! I am truly struggling to find anything this keyboard design left off the table!

    Glorious Keyboard and Software

Remember those old dell mechanical keyboards that were so amazing back in the day? How good they felt to type on, how durable they were, and just how ridiculous they were (by todays standards)? Well, this is like the modern version of that. The GMMK 3 Pro HE initially had me chuckling at its just absurd appearance, and even more so when I picked it up due to its weight, but it really is a glorious keyboard. To start off with the build, this thing is THIKK. I don't even know why its this thick, and heavy, but it is. The body appears to be made of 2 solid slabs of aluminum just as a measure of worth. It is heavy. I didn't bother putting it on a scale, but if you try to pick this thing up with simply your palms from the side, you'll probably hit muscle failure before it leaves the desk. It doubles as a weapon and a personal defense device. Joking aside, the build of this keyboard is stellar. Its obviously very solid, but not just in the body. The keys themselves didn't exhibit any wobble while pressing, and had an extremely long travel distance (just like those old dell keyboards). The keycaps didn't feel very notable on the fingertips, which isn't a pro or con, they just felt like keys. The standard switches that this comes with (Linear Magnetic on mine) feel very spongey, which might be what you're looking for. They don't feel like they gain any resistance the further you press them, and like I said they have a good long travel distance. If those switches aren't to your liking, included in the box is an additional 4 switches you can test out (I haven't gotten around to that yet). Additionally in the box they include the keys required to convert this keyboard over for Mac use, as well as the key and switch removal tools. The cables included with the keyboard is also more premium feeling, not a paper thin plastic one like you'd find with a lot of other devices. How enjoyable it is to type on this keyboard is going to depend on the person typing. While I personally would prefer a switch with less resistance on it (I like low travel, low resistance) my son absolutely loved typing on it, specifically stating "Thunk thunk". While I may not have personally prefered this type of switch, I can tell its quality by the consistency between keys and their travel. Where this keyboard really shines is its level of customization. The GMMK supports Rapid Trigger, custom actuation levels, 4 to 1 Hall Effects and moddable key presses. All features worked fine for me, the adjustable actuation being very noticeable and useful (especially for me as I like shorter key travel for typing). The neatest feature on this keyboard being the ability to map different actions to a key based on whether its a quickly tapped or held down. Unlike with other keyboards or peripherals, I was blown away by the software. Even in its beta state, the software for this keyboard is top notch. I couldn't find any issues with it outside of what was laid out as a known issue (and nothing that took away from it), and everything just seemed to work. I could create mutliple profiles how if I wanted to type or game, I could change the polling and latency of the keyboard (both of which will have an effect on battery life). It also supports both bluetooth and wireless connectivity. Battery life on the keyboard was pretty good. I haven't managed to deplete it completely from a full charge yet after a week of use, which equates to a few hours a day. Its smart in its design going into a lower power state when not actively being used, so I imagine it would take quite a while to drain completely. That said, this is stock settings. Changing the polling rate from 1000hz to say 8000hz would dramatically decrease that battery life. I imagine the same is true going from 16ms latency down to 2ms. The only real downside I see to this keyboard is the price. It is a steep ask for a 75% keyboard, especially when so many out there are building their own now. That said, for this price you not only get a very well built keyboard, but you also get outstanding software to go along with it. It may be possible to get that with a custom built keyboard, but I have yet to see it. Finally, the keyboard supports 3 layers, but they aren't configurable yet in software. The developers stated it would be added for release, which I hope for. That said, there is no hard button on the keyboard for changing layers, which is something I would have liked to have seen. Some side buttons, or pressing down the volume knob or something, but something hardware would have went a long way.

I needed a small keyboard for a new minimalist gaming setup, preferably one with full size keys and no number pad. I wanted it to be wireless and have mechanical switches. Enter the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear Switch Gaming Keyboard, which checks all the needs and more! Pros: - Connection Options: Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired. - Customization and Upgrade Options. - Solid build quality. - Software adds features. Cons: - Encountered Interference with Wireless Connection. - No included wrist rest. Setup: The simplicity of being able to Plug-&-Play a keyboard is a simple thing but always appreciated. The best part of the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless is it only gets better when you do install the software. The GMMK 3 Pro has 2 switches on the back of the keyboard, near the USB-C plug. One for selecting your system, Mac or Windows. And the other for Wireless Connection type, 2.4GHz or Bluetooth. Hardware: The GMMK 3 Pro is a solidly built keyboard, both in weight and quality. At over 4lbs, this keyboard comes in on the heavier side but that makes sense with the aluminum case and switch plate. This keyboard is not going to move much from wherever it is put down. The included Key caps feel and look great and can be swapped out for any standard sized keys which adds to the versatility and upgradability of the keyboard. Glorious made sure that compatibility and customization were a big focus in the GMMK 3 Pro, ensuring that both MX and HE switches were compatible with this hot-swappable board. They even include 4 spare switches to compare the feel between their line of HE switches, I preferred the included Red HE switches but it was nice to feel the alternatives and know there were options in case I change my mind in the future. Software: Glorious made sure the Software was just as good and easy to use as the keyboard it was paired with. Installing Glorious Core 2.0 is quite simple and does not require an online account to use. The only benefit you get from creating an account is the ability to save your profile to the cloud. Of course, you can control the lights and set macros in Glorious Core 2.0, but the big focus is on how the software and switches work. You can enable Custom Actuation, which sets the depth at which you must press the key to trigger that keys effect. This can be set for the whole keyboard or per key. This means, if you want feather light touch on some keys but want one key to need more force, you can! BUT that is where it gets even better with Rapid Trigger, where you can control the depth at which the switch senses the press and release of the switch. In simple terms, you can tap ever faster because you can control when the key press starts and stops. All from the software. Another huge benefit for content creators is the ability to set multiple functions per key based on how you press the key. You can set 1 key to have a Tap verse a Press-&-Hold, which doubles the number of keys you have available to you. But that’s just the start, there is also toggle key which allows you to toggle on a press without having to hold that key, again this can be added to a Press-&-Hold to enable even more combos. This Ctrl+C, but you don’t have to hold Ctrl. Buried in the software are hints at future enhancements like layers and toggled lighting effects. It is always an encouraging sign to see additional features in development, indicating that Glorious is planning to enhance the software soon. Feel: The Red Hall-Effect switches included with the GMMK 3 Pro are like Linear speed switches, but noticeably smoother and quieter. With the Software, it is easy to adjust the actuation point to match your personal preference, which just feels Glorious. Not having to bottom out each key increases typing speed and reduces fatigue for those long gaming or editing sessions. The only thing not included with the keyboard that would make the experience even better is a wrist rest. I'm a bit surprised that Glorious doesn't include one of their standard wrist rests, as they are very comfortable and the perfect height. I know this because I already have one. This leads me to say I really don't need another one either so it is a non-issue for me, but for someone without a wrist rest, I would recommend picking up one from Glorious to go with this keyboard. Performance: Overall, this keyboard performed amazingly wired and on Bluetooth, I had zero issues using it. But I did encounter an odd issue on the wireless, where the connection dropped a few times while typing. I think this was due to interference, as I had the receiver on the back of my PC. I moved the receiver to the top of my case, closer to the keyboard and further away from the other wireless components on the back of the PC, and I had no more issues. Conclusion: The GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% is the best small keyboard I have ever used. It is solidly built, has endless customization options, and works with almost any device or connection type. It quite literally does it all. Hands down, this is my favorite keyboard to date. Though I will only be recommending this to the Gamers and Content Creators who either have no budget restrictions or want to buy one keyboard that will last them for a lifetime.

A Premium Keyboard with the Tech to Match

Build Design and Weight The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Keyboard is a testament to premium keyboard engineering. At first glance, the build quality impresses with its robust sleek construction. This 75% keyboard, with its compact layout, manages to offer a full suite of features while maintaining a streamlined profile and looks great for any setup. Weighing in at 4.07 lbs, the GMMK 3 PRO HE is notably heavier than many of its rapid trigger keyboards on the market, which speaks to its high-quality materials and construction. In the box you get the keyboard, 2.4Ghz dongle, Mac keycaps, switch and keycap pullers, a USB-C to USB-A wired charging cable (though for the price of this keyboard I wish they would have included one of their nice coil braided cables), screwdriver, spare O-rings, screws and four sample switches that you can test if you decided you want to upgrade down the road. I personally will be upgrading to the Lynx HE switches, which has a shorter stem and a nice marbly thock when pressing it. The keyboard features an aluminum top and bottom plate, providing both a solid feel and zero flex whatsoever when typing. Inside the keyboard, you’ll find a well-engineered combination of layers that contribute to its impressive performance and sound. The bottom layer houses the PCB with the 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth modules, and is hot swappable for both magnetic and mechanical switches. The middle layer features sound-damping foam and O-Rings for a better acoustic sound profile and a full aluminum switch plate. It also comes with two optional gasket mounts that you can add if you want a more cushioned typing experience. The switches that are included with the keyboard are the Glorious Fox HE linear magnetic switches. The keycaps are GPT double shot caps with shine through, allowing you to see every key and shift function even in the dark. Hall-Effect Linear Switches and Customization The standout feature of the Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE is its new magnetic Hall-Effect linear switches. These switches utilize magnetic technology to deliver smooth, frictionless keystrokes. This result is an incredibly responsive typing and gaming experience with a linear actuation that feels both light and consistent. In the Glorious software you are able to individually set custom actuation points per key, which is perfect for fine tuning to get the most precise and accurate strokes especially for those fast twitch first person shooter games like CS2, APEX, Overwatch, and Call of Duty. Personally I set up the rapid triggers for my WASD keys and space bar, where the actuation point is at 1.0mm and the rapid trigger press and release sensitivity is set to 0.1mm for the fastest possible response times. This is a huge game changer for gaming and quick strafing in FPS games. Along with customizing your actuation points in the Glorious software you can also customize the pulling rate from 1,000hz to 8,000hz and the RGB. The keyboard supports per-key RGB lighting along with a ton of cool preset options and colors, allowing users to create their own lighting profiles. Additionally, the GMMK 3 PRO HE is fully programmable through Glorious software, enabling you to remap keys, create macros, and adjust lighting effects with ease. In the software you can have up to 3 profiles, which I found nice where I have 2 profiles dedicated for my main games and 1 profile for work and productivity. I realized that I needed to make a dedicated work/productivity profile because the rapid triggers were a little too precise with my awful typing abilities and I was accidentally grazing keys when typing. All That being said, I did run into some sluggishness and unresponsiveness in the Glorious software, where a couple of times the RGB wouldn’t change immediately when selecting a different preset and would have to quit the app and reopen it, which is annoying but know this is something that is fixable in a update. Pros and Cons Pros: Premium Build Quality: Solid aluminum construction with a heavy, durable feel. Hall-Effect Switches: Smooth, consistent keystrokes. Rapid Trigger Technology: Reduced debounce time for faster actuation. Extensive Customization: Full RGB lighting with customizable profiles, hot swappable switches and key remapping. Cons: Price Point: Higher cost compared to other keyboards in the market. Size: The 75% layout may not be ideal for those who prefer a full-size keyboard with a number pad. Charging Cable: Cheap non-braided cable. Software: Software can be unresponsive at times. Overall, the Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear Switch Gaming Keyboard with Rapid Trigger stands out with its exceptional build quality, magnetic Hall-Effect switches, and extensive customization options. It’s a solid choice for the keyboard enthusiasts and gamers who value performance durability and customization, though it comes with a higher price tag and a weightier build that might not suit everyone’s preferences.

    This Keyboard has EVERYTHING!

Where to start? This keyboard is absolute packed full of features and is top of the line for both typing and gaming. It feels absolutely great in every single regard. Highly recommend. But to get more into the weeds on everything. FEATURES: Tri-mode connectivity: USB-C with support up to 8,000 Hz Polling Rate, 2.4 GHz Wireless via Dongle (no place to store dongle = sadness), and Bluetooth 5.2 (go into pairing by FN + ‘)(Unsure if there are multiple profiles or not which is a bummer). 3,000 mAh Battery (2.4 GHz = 24 hours, Bluetooth = 58 hours). There is a notification zone in the top right which will be 0 – 25% red, 26 – 60% orange, 61 – 90% yellow, 91 – 100% green. On the top you have the USB-C port, to the left of that is a toggle switch for MacOS or Windows (which I love and works), and to the right you have 2.4/wired/Bluetooth toggle switch. Both toggle switches are a bit tough which is my only negative from the feel side of things. You also have a volume knob on the top right, aluminum material, light actuation, very defined steps, very accurate, press down to mute/unmute. You have per key RGB lighting. Which is accurate, bright, and looks great with a lot of levels of brightness. Accent lighting (on the sides) adds a bit of flare. The entire thing is made from aluminum. Making it quite heavy (3.36 lbs). Slight decline for ergonomics when typing. 8,000 Hz wired polling rate. 75% layout. Hot swappable for both magnetic and mechanical switches. Along with enthusiast features which includes 9-points of customization, GPBT doubleshot keycaps with shine through (which is quite even for 99% of them), aluminum top/bottom case, aluminum switch plate, sound dampening foam and O-rings, modular gasket system. SWITCHES: Hot-Swappable with traditional mechanical switches + Glorious Hall Effect Switches. Which come in multiple flavors including Fox HE (smooth, linear, creamy sound), Lynx HE (smooth, linear, marble sound), Panda HE (rounded tactical feel and thocky sound), Raptor HE (Crisp, clicky sound/feel). Comes with a sample of those four switches. There is also a silent version of the Lynx HE and Panda HE switches. The ones that come are the keyboard itself are Fox HE. They are very smooth, linear, and sound good. Especially, with the all the padding to the board itself. Sound is so subjective for keyboards though. I think it sounds and feels better than my GMMK 2 Pro. And in general sounds more enthusiast but not quite as thocky as I think some may want. But for me is good. You can adjust them anywhere from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm. There is something called rapid trigger than helps dramatically in games. In a traditional switch you must wait for it to go past a certain point before it will reset and another point where it will actuate again. With hall effect keyboards you can have it reset at 0.2 mm and then actuate again at 0.1 mm. Add that to the 8,000 Hz wired polling and you’ve got an extremely responsive keyboard. It also has a feature where if you want you can have 4 different strokes be registered in a single keystroke (4:1 dynamic keystroke). Where at differing heights (4 mm, 3.5 mm, 3 mm, 2.5 mm for example) you could have each of those distances be a keystroke such as A, B, C, and D. So, with a single press you get ABCD, or half a press AB. Why? I have no idea. But you can do it. Additionally, you have two other features that are similar. Mod Tap: Where you have two different actions depending on if you are holding it down or if you are tapping. Last, Toggle Key: which is essentially an on/off toggle for a key. So say you wanted to run in game you could tap shift to sprint, then tap it again to stop sprinting. Even if the game itself didn’t support that. I think for the most part every key can also be changed including the volume knob in the software to whatever you’d like. PERFORMANCE: It feels wonderful to type and game on. Didn’t have any issues with not registering of key presses or multiple presses. With the features of Hall Effect and high wired polling rate you have extremely low latency which helps a lot in gaming. I just wish they also supported analog functions. As I believe they have the capability of, so perhaps with an update. I found some issues with how far away I could have the wireless dongle (>5 feet), and it registering key presses consistently. As long as I had a very clear site to the dongle it was fine. But I think that is from the aluminum body blocking it. This was an early build so a lot of the software features are not fully functional. Due to that I had some issues that I won’t go in-depth on as I’m sure they will be ironed out by launch. Additionally, I did not find a lot of the software to be user friendly and making that more intuitive would greatly behoove them. This is something that Wooting does extremely well. So take notes from them. OTHER: I like that it comes with Option and CMD keys if you were to use this only for MacOS. It also has a screwdriver (Philips), extra screws and O-rings, switch puller, keycap puller, and USB-A to USB-C braided cable that is good quality but not very long. Additionally. Love the gold accents, which are not normally my jam. Overall aesthetics are good. There are multiple secondary keys that can be reached with FN. Such as changing lighting, lighting brightness, which parts of lighting are on (keys, side lighting, notification), play/pause, and others. These secondary keys can be see on the bottom of the keycaps for ease of rememberance. I wish there was a dedicated button for play/pause though. But I’ll probably switch that roller to that. As that can be done via software. CONS: - Top toggles are hard to move. - Not sure if it can connect to multiple Bluetooth devices at a time with easy swap (say 1, 2, 3). - I don’t see a way to easily go to different profiles either (for example, if I wanted a 2.0 mm actuation + a 0.1 mm actuation for gaming with different lighting) I don’t see a way to do that on the keyboard itself. But there is option in software. - Software is glitchy and not fully up to speed yet. But pre-release so to be expected. - Wireless range seems shorter than I’d like. Need direct line of sight from aluminum. - No dedicated play/pause.

The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE is a compact 75% fully customizable wireless keyboard designed to cater to the needs of serious gamers or enthusiasts seeking a premium typing experience. This wireless keyboard offers a sleek design, customizable hot-swappable switches, and a variety of features to cater to different preferences. In this review, I’ll delve into the build quality, performance, software, and overall value of the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless keyboard. . **Build Quality The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO has a solid and durable aluminum build that is immediately noticeable upon unboxing. The aluminum frame provides a sturdy base, ensuring that the keyboard remains stable even during intense gaming sessions. The keycaps offer excellent durability and a satisfying tactile feel, resisting wear and tear over time. The hot-swappable sockets allow for easy customization of switches, enabling users to experiment with different typing experiences without the need for soldering or tools. For example you could put different switches only on the A, S, D, or W if you want a different feel on those specific movement keys. The two things that standout are the weight of the keyboard and the quality of the keys. This keyboard is not going to slide anywhere no matter how intense the game is because of the weight and grip. **Performance The GMMK 3 PRO HE delivers exceptional performance both in terms of typing and gaming. The wireless connection is reliable and offers minimal latency, and without any noticeable input lag. The keyboard's typing feel is smooth and responsive, thanks to the high-quality switches and well-balanced key layout. The keys have good gaps which avoids the dreaded “fat finger.” The keycaps also have a satisfying tactile experience that don’t make a lot of noise. The RGB lighting is customizable and offers a variety of many effects, allowing users to personalize their setup. The software allows for precise control over the lighting, including the ability to create custom profiles and synchronize the lighting with other compatible devices. **Software The Glorious software allows all the typical options of a gaming RGB keyboard, with a few additional features that make it stand out in the crowd. *Actuation* Within the Glorious software, you can choose up to four actuation settings for a key from 0 to approximately 4mm. So essentially you can choose 4 different commands that are based on the depth and how hard you press the same key. *Rapid Trigger allows you to activate and deactivate the trigger based on how hard you press the keys. *Mod Tap will allow two different actions with the same key dependent on how hard the key is pressed. *Toggle Key will allow you to set one key to activate toggle on or off *Advanced HE Keybinds allows you to set at least four different button combinations to program to a single key. I tested all of these features with my son and we were impressed by the creative options offered in the software. Additionally, Polling rate reaches 8000 Hz and input lag gets as quick as 2 ms. **Conclusion The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE is an excellent keyboard that offers a combination of style, performance, and customization. Its premium build quality, hot-swappable switches, and wireless connectivity make it a great choice for gamers. The GMMK 3 PRO HE's features and overall quality justify the price. The feel of the entire keyboard from the base to the keys radiates quality. **Pros & Cons *Pros: * Premium build quality with aluminum frame * Hot-swappable switches for easy customization * Customizable RGB lighting with various effects, Per Key RGB * Reliable wireless connection with minimal latency * Smooth and responsive typing feel * Programmable rotary knob *Cons: * Higher Price Point * A few pro features only serious gamers will use * You will need an adjustment period to switch to the 75% keyboard Overall, the Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE is a keyboard that delivers an excellent gaming experience and offers a variety of features to suit different preferences. Its premium build quality, customizable options, and reliable performance make it a worthwhile investment for those seeking a top-tier keyboard. The software also allows endless opportunities for customization and some unique features I’ve only seen on the Glorious Core software.

    Key to better Gaming

I own a lot of gaming keyboards but this one has to be one of the most interesting that I have ever used. This keyboard is totally configurable/replaceable from the switches to the modular gasket system. The Core software gives even more customization by letting you configure the functionality of the keystrokes when using the included Glorious Fox HE magnetic switches. Because of these software features I am rethinking my gaming macros and profiles as well as which keys I want the lightest actuation and which keys I need to stay engaged when pressed. It adds a whole new dimension to what you can do with each key. Bottom line this keyboard can be configured to meet everyone’s requirements whether its for gaming or business and its designed and built to last. Due to its weight I would not consider this keyboard for mobile use. The build quality is solid and the keyboard is way heavier than the refined look would lead you to believe. Everything about this keyboard screams high quality. The keyboard is a 75% keyboard so it doesn’t have the numeric keys but It does make good use of the existing keys to give you the typical lighting and media key controls. The top of the keys have a slight finger indent and are made of PBT with a textured surface so I feel very confident when typing on this keyboard. The keycaps are double-shot which provides a solid platform while letting the RGB light shine brightly through the legend. The keyboard comes with Glorious Fox HE magnetic linear switches which are very smooth and have a lightweight actuation which I really like for gaming as well as general typing. They are relatively quiet compared to many other mechanical keyboards that I own so if you use this for work everyone on your conference calls won’t hear you typing. They include four sample switches to tryout in-case you want to purchase different switches than the Fox HE linear switches that come with the keyboard. Along with the switches they include a keycap puller and a switch puller. There is also a rotary dial that in the default mode provide volume control and mute functions. This keyboard supports 2.4 ghz wireless using the included dongle, Bluetooth and wired mode using the included USB-C to USB-A cable. It is macOS compatible and comes with two optional keycaps. On the back of the keyboard there is a switch for selecting macOS or Windows and another switch for selecting the connectivity (2.4, Bluetooth, Wired). Glorious claims that the keyboard’s battery life is 24 hours for wireless mode and 58 hours for Bluetooth however I would think that might vary slightly with the RGB lighting mode selected. The Glorious Core2 software offers some very unique features such as Custom Actuation, Rapid Trigger, Dynamic Keystroke, Mod Tap and Toggle Key functionality. When I first saw this I had to rethink some of my game play and how I could utilize these features. Custom Actuation lets you set the keypress actuation point, Rapid Trigger lets you set the press and release sensitivity, Dynamic Keystroke lets you set up to four different bindings or actions for a key press. Mod Tap gives you the ability to have two different actions. Lastly Toggle Key allows the key to stay engaged even when released until it is pressed a second time. I have found the Toggle Key to be very handy in my games that force you to hold the key for regeneration or respawning. I am still working with the Custom actuation and Rapid Trigger features to improve my FPS reaction time. Optimizing the switch engagement to match your reaction time and pressure is a whole new dynamic. The software also offers the typical settings for configuring the RGB lighting, macros and profiles.

GMMK Pro 3: A Hall New World

First Impressions: The GMMK Pro 3 offers a visually distinct upgrade from its predecessors while retaining some key GMMK Pro traits, making it look less like an overhaul (over"hall"?) and more like an iterative improvement. The unboxing experience is simple, except for a surprise set of goodies tucked away in the upper compartments — sample switches, keycap and switch pullers, and macOS-compatible keycaps— which are a wonderful addition given how new HE switches are to the GMMK series. The included braided white cable is a thoughtful touch, complementing the keyboard's sleek white design. Many mechanical keyboard enthusiasts are likely to swap the cable out for something more custom, but I found it a nice enough cable to haul around for use on the go. Pros: The introduction of wireless mode is a game-changer. As someone who typically uses wired keyboards due to concerns about input lag and compatibility, I was pleasantly surprised by the lag-free experience with the GMMK Pro 3. Whether using the 2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth, the keyboard performed admirably, allowing me to maintain my usual typing speed of 120 to 130+ WPM without noticeable input lag or delays. The minimal and unobtrusive dongle, which is similar in profile to a Logitech receiver, is my preferred method, but the Bluetooth connection is also convenient and performs well. Typing on the GMMK Pro 3 feels and sounds fantastic, thanks to the Fox HE switches which deliver what the included insert describes as a "smooth" experience with a "creamy sound" in a linear switch. \While I generally favor tactile switches like the Glorious Pandas on my original GMMK Pro, the Fox HE switches offer a surprisingly enjoyable linear feel with a similarly enjoyable sound profile. I would not describe this as a "thocky" board stock, but it isn't pingy either and has a sound that, for lack of a better word, is velvety smooth. The original GMMK Pro was known to have some issues with stabilizers and the PCB at launch, but I haven't noticed rattly stabs or an overly stiff backplate, or any such issues. The included sample switches are a nice touch too, though I found the Foxes to be the best fit for this board. Having the actuation force not match the bump on a tactile switch feels weird, and while the Lynxes offer a similarly linear feel, I felt that their sound was not as enjoyable and that they did not do as well with RGB shine through. Finally, the Raptors (the clicky switches) were flat-out unpleasant to me — I've never liked clickies, though, and frankly, that is the fun part of a mechanical keyboard! Being able to test all the different switches and get a feel for how they feel and sound on this board was a unique experience and one that I hope to see more often. Speaking of switches, the new HE switches are a major appeal factor for this board, and for good reason. The HE switches' main appeal for me is their longevity and typing experience. I’m sure most people reading this have heard of HE joysticks to combat stick drift, and part of HE’s strength there is they are analog (great for joysticks) and don’t have mechanical contacts, making them more durable than mechanical switches. Part of the HE switches’ perks is the ability to tweak actuation settings in real time, which is both impressive and mindboggling to experience. Other advanced features like dynamic keystroke, mod tap, and rapid trigger all rely on HE switch functionality and add to the board's versatility, even if I haven't fully explored their potential yet. I suspect dynamic keystroke would be great for MOBA gamers, and I can see both dynamic keystroke and rapid trigger being useful in games like FFXIV. Keybinds and macros, which I use regularly for work, function beautifully. The lighting effects have been expanded upon as well, with new options like "Glorious Mode," "Kamehameha," and "Pass Without Trace" adding variety (my personal favorite is Glorious Mode since I love rainbow!). While some preset previews need updating, either rendering very laggily or not at all, the overall lighting experience is solid and any issues are sure to be resolved by launch. The continuation of the sidebar lights is very welcome as well, and a badge light next to the knob further adds to the "upgrade" vibes of the GMMK Pro 3. The ability to adjust polling rate and latency is another welcome feature, catering to both gaming and more general use. I assume that using the lower default polling rate and latency settings would reduce the hit on battery life that higher settings would have, but of course more intensive settings would be a must-have for certain use cases like competitive gaming. Having the option to balance the two is great. The knob on the GMMK Pro 3 feels more satisfying than on previous models, with a lovely click when pushed in. While I would love the ability to remap it — for artists, for instance, it would be great to be able to turn the knob to adjust brush sizes — the overall feel is premium and there is some information suggesting that may be a feature Soon™. Battery life is strong, easily lasting a full workday even with backlighting. The claimed 24-hour life on 2.4GHz and 58 hours on Bluetooth seems accurate based on my testing. While the Glorious Core software has been updated, it could still use some refinement—especially in the key remapper screen, which feels clunky and looks like a poor optimization of space utilization. The stock keycaps are also quite nice, offering a clean, all-white aesthetic that could easily fit into a professional environment (provided you turn down the RGB). By default they have shine-through legends, which helps the lighting effects pop a bit, but I would expect pudding-style keycaps to help them shine. The aluminum case feels sturdy and premium. My previous GMMK Pro was described by a friend as a weight that could be used to kill a home intruder, and I could see the same being said of the GMMK Pro 3. The weight is a benefit and a drawback, but overall it is nice to not worry about it shifting around while typing. Also like previous Pro models, the GMMK Pro 3 offers plenty of room for customization, from swapping out the top plate and rotary knob to changing keycap sets. Like the original GMMK Pro, the stock "silver" plate looks more white in certain lighting. For people who want a very simple level of customizability, that is a great way to offer personalization without any intensive mods. Being hotswap, more enthusiast-level users can go as far as to install mods and swap out all the switches and keycaps. MacOS compatibility is yet another feature that I did not expect but was pleasantly surprised by. It's a nice bonus with an easy toggle, and the extra keycaps for macOS support are a great benefit for Mac users hoping to use this board. Drawbacks: One downside carried over from previous models is the lack of adjustable feet. While this isn't an issue for me, it might be for others who prefer more customization to their typing angles. Additionally, I am excited to see customizable per-key lighting for the badge and side lights in future updates and hope that this functionality is added soon, as it would be a fun way to add an even more personal touch to this board. Overall Verdict: The GMMK Pro 3 is a worthy successor in the Glorious lineup, combining new features with the quality and customization options that have come to be associated with the GMMK Pro lineup. Whether you're a gamer, a typist, or someone who simply appreciates mechanical keyboards, the GMMK Pro 3 is a solid choice. There are some quirks that should be ironed out before official release, but beyond those I have little to criticize about this keyboard and have replaced my GMMK Pro as my daily driver! + stock switches feel and sound great, but you can also try out the other new HE switches thanks to the included samples + HE switches allow for unique, interesting customizability down to the actuation force + lighting effects are plentiful and work well, plus the GMMK Pro 3 sports a new badge light on top of the backlighting and sidebar lights + feels and looks premium, solid and heavy aluminum case + knob is tactile and works well + macros and other keyboard customizations work well + new ability to do things like mod tap and dynamic keystroke due to HE switches + very customizable, lots of options for top plates and knob color swaps + macOS compatibility with extra macOS keycaps included (!!!) + Glorious Core software is updated to reflect new features +++ this keyboard looks, feels, and sounds good stock (great for someone who is new to mechanical keyboards or just casually into the hobby) - no adjustable feet (same as other GMMK Pro models) - no per-key lighting for badge and side lights as of writing, though this is anticipated in later updates - some lighting preset previews aren't working at time of writing, but this is expected to be fixed later and the lighting presets themselves do work when applied

I love thiskeyboard, lets just start there. The build quality is fantastic. The keyboard feels solid and well-made, with a sleek aluminum top plate and a satisfying heft. The 75% layout is a sweet spot for many, offering a compact footprint while retaining essential keys. The wireless connectivity is rock-solid, thanks to Glorious' proprietary 2.4 GHz technology, and the battery life is impressive, lasting several days on a single charge even with RGB lighting enabled. The star of the show, of course, is the Hall effect switches. These switches use magnets instead of metal contacts to register key presses, eliminating the debounce delay found in traditional mechanical switches. This translates to incredibly fast actuation and virtually no input lag, making the GMMK 3 PRO a dream for competitive gamers. The adjustable actuation points add another layer of customization, allowing you to fine-tune the keyboard to your liking. However, Hall effect switches also have their drawbacks. The linear switches on the GMMK 3 PRO feel noticeably different from traditional mechanical switches. They lack the tactile bump and clicky feedback that many users enjoy, resulting in a somewhat muted typing experience. The switches also require a slightly higher actuation force, which can lead to finger fatigue during extended typing sessions. The software, Glorious CORE, is functional. It offers basic customization options for lighting and macros, but it's not as intuitive or feature-rich as some software. Additionally, the lack of onboard memory for storing profiles and settings is a disappointment, especially for a premium keyboard. Another minor gripe is the keycaps. While they're made of durable PBT plastic, the legends are somewhat thin and prone to wear. The stock keycaps also lack shine-through for the RGB lighting, which diminishes the visual impact but still a very cool look. Finally, there's the price. The GMMK 3 PRO is a premium keyboard with a premium price tag. While the innovative Hall effect switches and wireless connectivity justify the cost, it's still a significant investment. So, who is the GMMK 3 PRO for? Well, it's ideal for competitive gamers who prioritize speed and responsiveness above all else. The Hall effect switches deliver an unparalleled level of performance, giving you a competitive edge in fast-paced games. It's also a great choice for users who want a compact, wireless keyboard with exceptional build quality. Simply put, quality at a reasonable price.

I've been a fan of the Glorious keyboards and mice for a while. The Glorious HE is my 4th from them and my first was actually a GMMK barebones that I selected switches, keycaps and cord from a variety that they manufacturer. I've dabbled with changing switches and keycaps on a full size but the others are 75% TKL (ten keyless... aka no numpad). The smaller size appeals to me when I game as it provides more real estate for my mouse. While the Glorious mice are extremely lightweight and fast the keyboards tend to be heavy. The GMMK 3 Pro HE is a heavy weight at almost 3 1/2 lbs. I'm not complaining since it tends to plant itself firmly on the desk and doesn't tend to move around like a lighter keyboard might. If you need a keyboard to toss in your backpack then you might consider something else but as far as a desktop keyboard goes it is a great form factor and weight for daily use. What sets the HE apart from most of the pack is the use of Hall Effect switches rather than traditional ones. Hall Effect switches use magnetic sensors to know when the key is pressed. They provide a responsive and smooth operation. Paired with the Glorious Core software you gain a fully customizable typing and gaming experience. Glorious Core's performance settings allow you to switch polling rates between 1000Hz to 8000Hz and Input Latency between 2ms to 16ms for a extremely responsive action. Actuation with Rapid Trigger is where the Pro HE shines. In Global mode you can change all keys at once for actuation points and press and release sensitivity for a very quick response. In Per Key mode you can customize each key for your play style... like W-A-S-D and space bar for example. Very slick providing a level of performance not seen in most keyboards. Lighting is always a must for me. I really love that there is per key lighting customization. While I tend to go with subdued backlighting while I game in low light, I do also appreciate being able to closely match the RGB in my case for a cool aesthetic. Glorious Core allows you to select different provided color themes or create your own. The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE is also modular so you can do a lot of customization. What I truly love is that this keyboard offers dual hot swap feature which allows you to switch between magnetic and mechanical switches. Glorious offers a lot of varieties of switches and the Pro HE comes with a sampling of different switches (1 of each of a few of the most popular) that you can try for yourself to see which best suits your style and preference. It comes default with Glorious Fox HE linear magnetic switches and I'm hoping that they will offer the Pro HE with different switch variations so you won't need to buy several packs of switches to swap out for your preference. It takes standard keycaps so you can get from Glorious or a multitude of different providers. Just Google search keycaps and you know what I'm talking about. There are some very creative keycaps available including custom one of a kind. While I'm a Windows guy I do appreciate that Glorious included Apple specific Option and Cmd keys for the MacOS folks. The keyboard also comes with a few other items to help you tweak it. It has a modular gasket system with several extra gasket modules included in an accessory box. There is a keycap puller and a switch puller included in the box. If you like to take total control of your keyboard then this is the one for you as long as you don't mind coughing up $370. Glorious products are premium and cost more than most but with the full modular design, dual hot swap switches and amazing Core software then you can probably justify the cost. Heck, my first GMMK DIY barebones kit cost $350 so the cost didn't scare me away.

The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear Switch Gaming Keyboard with Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation stands out in the world of mechanical keyboards, offering a blend of premium features and excellent performance. Not only does it look great, it feels amazing and it is improving my game, so let me share with you further. It arrives well packaged and with an awesome presentation, out ifs box it is ready to play, it comes with plenty of things, 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, braided white charging USB C cable, sample switches, extra screws and O rings, switch puller, keycap puller, a screw driver and a quick start booklet. The GMMK 3 Pro HE offers a top case made of aluminum and the bottom case of CNC-machined aluminum. Both provide a strong and durable frame that feels substantial and premium. The keyboard's 75% layout strikes a perfect balance between functionality and compactness, making it ideal for both gaming setups and minimalist workspaces and it also includes macOS alternative keycaps. The Hall-Effect linear switches use magnetic sensors to register key presses, resulting in a smoother and more responsive typing experience. And the customizable actuation feature allows me to adjust the actuation point; in return it enhances both typing comfort and gaming performance. The GMMK 3 Pro HE supports wireless connectivity, it is convenient and it does not affect its performance. The keyboard maintains a stable connection with minimal latency. The rapid trigger keys keep up for a fun fast paced gaming session allowing for quicker key resets and faster input registration. One of the key features of the Glorious keyboard is how customizable it is, I can swap the strong and durable keycaps as well as the switches and the vibrant RGB keyboard lighting, this last is just awesome, it has many solid colors, modes that looks outstanding. I like the Glorious mode as well as breathing, Matrix 2 and fast run without trace among others. The Glorious CORE software provides more customization such as key mapping, macros, and plenty of lighting effects. It also supports multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring versatility on these platforms. Overall the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE Keyboard is a premium choice, it offers high-performance, it is very customizable, and looks amazing. It offers plenty of advanced features, great quality, and it is just exceptional.

    Great Keyboard, Buggy Software

The GMMK 3 Pro HE is my first ‘real’ mechanical keyboard and so far it has been a generally good experience for me with a few bumps. The keyboard itself has a great build quality and the Fox HE hall effect switches have a nice feel and sound. The software also has a ton of cool customization you can do with those switches. The experience of using the software for me has been buggy though, even for the prerelease build that I have been using. These are both things that could potentially be resolved in future updates, but it’s something I need to point out in the here and now and from what I can see Glorious is not well known for their software. In the box you’ll get the keyboard and a variety of additional parts, including: Keycaps for macOS Spare gaskets, O-rings, and screws A screwdriver, keycap puller, and switch controller A variety of sample switches to try out A USB-A 2.4 GHz wireless receiver A white braided USB-C to USB-A cable for charging and wired operation The build quality of the keyboard is fantastic. It’s set in a very heavy aluminum case and feels well put together - the whole thing weighs about 3.4 lbs. At the top right is a knurled volume knob that turns and clicks that is also aluminum and next to that is a gold accent piece that houses the LED indicator light. The preinstalled keycaps are a bright white color, which does look good though I personally think a more neutral gray color might look better against the silver top case. I’m also not a fan of the Caps Lock key being swapped out for a down arrow and the Enter key reading ‘ASCEND’. I’m not a fan of the gold accent piece either, but fortunately all these pieces can be swapped out for other keycaps and I assume Glorious will sell different colors of the LED cover in the future as well. The back of the keyboard has the USB-C connection, as well as mode switches for Mac/Windows and 2.4GHz/Wired/Bluetooth and this is also accented in gold. I thought the sample switches in particular were a nice addition as I was able to actually try them out. I do really like the Fox HE switches that are preinstalled, but I also would strongly consider replacing them with the Lynx or Panda switches in the future and it’s not something I personally would have even given much thought to had I not had a chance to try them. One thing I noticed while swapping the switches though was that the included keycap and switch pullers don’t seem to be the same as what Glorious offers on their website. The keycap puller for me worked fine, but did require an uncomfortable amount of pressure to get it and underneath the keycaps. The switch puller I had a lot of issues with and I ended up damaging most of the sample switches trying to remove them from the base. I haven’t worked on keyboards like this in the past, so this could be user error, but I felt I was very careful about how I was using the tool and it was just not a great experience trying to get the switches out. If I decide to completely replace the switches in the future I will probably purchase a different switch puller. The GMMK 3 Pro HE can use both Glorious’ hall effect switches and standard MX mechanical switches. Setting up the keyboard with the Glorious Core 2.0.2 software I was provided was easy enough. The keyboard was immediately recognized by my PC and the software did recognize the keyboard. The layout of the software is basic, but mostly straightforward and allows you to customize the polling rate/response time, lighting, keybindings, and actuation points of the switches. One of the neat things you can do with the software is you can program each key to activate a different function depending on what position it’s pressed in as the hall effects can detect where specifically you are in the keyboard press. The lighting effects are neat as well and let you do per-key customization and have some cool preset effects like a ripple that shoots light out from whatever key you pressed on. The software doesn’t seem to have a ‘live’ connection with the keyboard though and each time you make a change that needs to be saved to the keyboard. The upside of this is you don’t have to depend on PC software to maintain your keyboard functions, but the downside is it makes configuring the keyboard a bit cumbersome. I also ran into some issues getting some of my lighting effects to save to the keyboard and ended up having to go wired in some circumstances to get them pushed through. I do have to mention again this is prerelease software, though I ran into additional problems that were not listed as known issues. Hopefully by the time that it is officially released it will have improved and once all changes are made you don’t really need to even use the software anyway. I used this as my standard keyboard for a full work day and the typing experience on it is great, though I experienced some connection drops a few times an hour throughout the day and that was a bit concerning to me. I don’t know if this is down to a poor connection from the receiver or if there was some issue with the dock I was using, but I did eventually move the receiver from the back of my Thunderbolt dock directly onto a USB port on the front of my laptop and did not have any further issues. On my PC at home the connection seems to be solid. The keyboard works both wired and wirelessly, so if the consistency of the connection is ever an issue the USB-C cable is always an option. I have not tried the Bluetooth connection, though I imagine for most purposes related to gaming you’d want to go 2.4GHz or wired anyway. One problem for anyone who might be using this for general purpose keyboard activities is there is no Caps Lock indicator on the keyboard, except for the LED lights on the side of the case are blinking instead of solid. If the Caps Lock key itself could somehow be illuminated differently when it’s on that would be nice, but so far I have not found a way to do this in software if that functionality is there. The software also does not seem to accurately indicate the charge level of the keyboard right now and it died unexpectedly on me after about 8 or so hours of use. The quoted battery life on the box for 2.4GHz operation is 24 hours, but I assume this is with the LED lighting turned off. I’m really happy with the quality of this keyboard and the experience of actually using it has been great, but it’s let down by buggy software. I’m hoping Glorious is able to make improvements on it in the meantime, but for now it’s something to be aware of.

The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE is hands down one of the most well-made, customizable keyboards I have ever used. With the new Glorious Core 2.0 software, you can easily adjust and customize the board to your liking, including the actuation of the keys! The board's look just pops the minute you unbox it. It has a decent amount of heft, which screams quality when you hold it in your hand. It comes with a branded USB-C cable that you can use (or not) depending on whether you want to use the 2.4gz dongle (included) or Bluetooth to pair with your PC. One the top right, you have a nob that can be used for volume (default) or customized within the Glorious Core 2.0 software. The board sports Hall Effect switches for rapid trigger which can be customized within the software. Press and Release Sensitivity can also be adjusted to fine tune distance needed to deactivate and activate keys. The feature I liked the most is the 4:1Dynamic Keystrokes, which allows you to select four different bindings for a sinlge key, depending on the key position (WORLD of possibilities depending of the game or function you need). You can also customize your keys to perform a different function, depending on whether the key itself is rapibly pressed, or not (Called Mod Tap). In my testing, I found the Dynamic Keystrokes mind-blowingly easy to use. While it does take some getting used to, the limits of what you can do based on your preference feel limitless with this keyboard. The software works as it should and is easy to use, which nowadays, in my opinion, is a lost art when it comes to customizing software. Overall, I have been BEYOND impressed with this keyboard. Everything from building quality to functionality is miles ahead of other boards I have used. I could not be happier with this keyboard from Glorious.

I've tested quite a few mechanical keyboards in my life but I gotta say the GMMK 3 Pro Wireless has to be my favorite keyboard ever. First off, this thing's got some WEIGHT to it, its about 3.5 pounds and a full aluminum body. I thought that would be an issue but I actually love the fact that it has some weight to it as it feels premium and moves around a lot less. Speaking of premium, this thing looks and feels amazing. The finish is clean the RGB lights pop (if you want them to) and the keycaps are CREAMY. I usually like brown keycaps but these glorious red fox keycaps are soooo smooth they've definitely converted me. The keycaps are easily swappable though if you dont like them and the box even includes a keycap and key switch puller. Wireless battery life can go up to 58 hrs on bluetooth which is great. The software is super cool, its still in the early stages but I'm loving it. Every key is customizable and you can even set the actuation of individual keys from 0.1 to 4.0 mm. They also have a bunch of different RGB settings all of which look clean. Overall, this keyboard is amazing. If you're looking a top of the line creamy keyboard with a bunch of customization, the GMMK 3 Pro will be your last keyboard.

First impression: Whoa, this thing is heavy! I can't recall having a keyboard with this much heft. It feels sold enough to use for self defense. You seriously do not want to drop this on any body part you'll suffer the consequences. After turning it on the next thing I saw was how vivid and saturated the key colors were. I don't know if it's because of the white/silver backing or if the LEDs they use are this colorful. So if you're into lots of flashy colors the GMMK 3 has your back. Now I've never used a hall effect keyboard before so I was curious how this would affect gaming and general usage. So far, I don't really notice much of a difference. I'm not using software to measure actuation time or my own reactions, so my feelings is that there's no real benefit for me other than the longevity of the keys. If I you could stick with one keyboard, I have confidence this one will last the rest of my life, lol. In the Core 2 software there are tons of customization options. One is Rapid Trigger. If you've been keeping up with the news, this is one feature you'll probably stay away from because of the potential for a ban. So I'm not messing with it. One feature I love is setting custom actuation. I have mine set to 1mm as I like less travel and I can just barely tap the key to create an input. I seriously love this feature the most. If Glorious can make some low profile caps then the GMMK 3 would be near perfect for me. I did buy some 3 party caps, but they're missing the alternative inputs for the keys. Since I don't have those functions memorized, I can't use them. Having OEM keys with the FN keys imprinted on them would be perfect for me. Everything's not all rosy. One issue I have, which is a personal issue and some won't have a problem with it, is that the KB has a fixed angle and height. I always keep my KB's flat as it puts less strain on my wrist. I'm having to take breaks typing this on the GMMK 3 because it makes my wrists a bit uncomfortable. Putting a rag underneath my palms helps a bit (I don't have wrist rests) but the angle is still to steep for me. The only way of alleviating this would be to get two wrist rests. One for my wrists and the other to lift the KB to make it more flat. The other is not per game auto profile switching. It's not essential, but very helpful. I don't use macros on my KB as much as I do my mouse, but I do set up custom colors for essential keys. It's not hard switching profiles manually, but it takes out the hassle of going back to Core 2 after launching the game. Overall the hardware is remarkable. Just a bit of work on the software and being able to adjust the tilt would have make the keyboard perfect for me. Some might find it comfortable as is, so the angle may not be an issue for others.

What happens when you take one of the best early PC Memes and create an entire peripheral line from it? Well, you get the Glorious brand and an amazing, nearly perfect keyboard like the GMMK 3 Pro HE Wireless. I'll be honest and admit I didn't even know this brand Glorious was an actual thing even though I would consider myself PCMR and PC enthusiast my entire adult life. I've tended to stay with the tried and true mainstream brands like Logitech, but the downside is that these brands tend to lag behind in terms of technology since they have to mass market and spend more time in R&D, while a smaller enthusiast brand like Glorious are designed to be cutting edge all the time. The main thing I noticed right away with this keyboard was it had all of the latest features you find from the small batch curated "drop" and kickstarter type keyboards where enthusiasts in the know pre-order/pledge and seed development with their own money. This allows more freedom to implement bleeding edge tech. In this case, the killer feature is HE, which stands for Hall Effect. This is the implementation of an old physics discovery where a change in the magnetic field is detected and converted into an electrical signal. When it comes to keyboard, this allows the keycap to register and hold a stroke at different actuation levels, pressure levels, and all kinds of other analog-like control that go beyond the typical binary result of a keyboard registering a keystroke. The Core v2.0 software I used to test allowed me to easily change the actuation point of the keys, although I'll be honest and say the adjustments did not seem to matter that much at the top of the keystroke, but was more obvious when setting to 3.7mm for the lowest keystroke which required me to bottom out the key to register a stroke. I have optical keyboards that are a LOT more sensitive, probably too sensitive. Actuation point can be set per key or globally. There is also the ability to set keystrokes/macros, lighting, keybindings and performance/polling rates/input latency. I'm not sure how much this will impact actual performance for anyone since 8000Hz or even 1000Hz is way overkill, but I am sure this will impact battery life which I will get to later. The keys themselves are linear, although they have an interesting suction feel and have a very slight resistance throughout the key press. Typing is also relatively quiet compared to linears like Red/Black that are still super loud when the keys bottom out. These switches definitely have some kind of dampening foam that gives the keys a softer landing when bottoming them out and there's almost a suction feel to the keys when they raise back up. Some people might love this, others might not as there are times it is reminiscent of a rubber dome keyboard of old.... The keys are unfortunately in a "well" and not flush to the keyboard body, which means they are harder to clean out over time since dust and such can get inside, but the GMMK3P comes with 2 key pullers and are designed to easily pop out each key. The keyboard itself is AMAZING build quality, everything you would expect from the PCMR keyboard that leaves nothing to be desired. Its a solid hunk of aluminum and probably weighs 5lbs. Seriously its massive and dense and looks/feels amazing. Anyone who sees the keyboard is going to be amazed and maybe wonder if its an alien artifact on your desk. RGB is excellent, keycaps are super high quality and solid feeling, each key is consistent feeling, even the larger keys like spacebar, backspace, enter (Ascend), tab, shift etc. From the accessories kit, it looks like they have some foam landers that help with the consistent feel that can be changed out. Keyboard layout is said to be 75%, but they definitely squished it down to maybe 68 or 70% by moving the arrow keys and the home key cluster to vertical. I don't love this, I would've preferred them to keep it the same, but it is MUCh better than the 60% keyboards that totally omit arrow/home keys and also Function-keys. So, why did I take a star off since all of my comments seem to be overwhelmingly positive? Because there's clearly a premium as a new offering in the GMMK lineup that this is a wireless keyboard. But here's my problems with that: 1. As mentioned, the keyboard is incredibly heavy. So heavy that it is unlikely you will take it with you and move it. It is seriously like 5lbs and while small, I would not consider it portable. 2. The battery life is BAD. Like 2 days of playing Diablo 4 just for 5-6 hours each session for a total of 12 or so hours bad. My other keyboards last at least a week, if not more, and that is also using them for work at home 2-3 days a week too. Some of this may be due to the RGB lighting settings as well as reducing input latency to 2ms, but polling rate is just 1000Hz. 8000Hz you probably just want to keep it plugged in. The first time the battery ran out I simply couldn't believe it. Just 2 days of use and out of nowhere in the middle of a Diablo 4 infernal horde run, my inputs stop. If it was Hardcore that character would've been RIP. So I charged it up and used it again just to make sure and yep, just 2 days maybe 12 hours of moderate usage and battery dead. Worst part is that the Core v2.0 software always showed 100% battery and did NOT accurately update the battery status. I am sure this can be fixed to show the actual battery level, but its a shame they didn't carve out some additional aluminum from the chassis and add a bigger battery. 3. Another huge benefit of wireless for me is that they typically allow both 2.4RF via USB dongle as well as BT connectivity without any dongle. This is amazing because you can quickly switch inputs between your main gaming PC and a work laptop or peripheral device at your desk without having to move the keyboard or have a 2nd keyboard. The downside is that the mode switcher, along with the USB-C charging port, is in an indented part of the top/front of the keyboard that you cannot see. On top of that, the toggle is not a simple key press, it is a switch that is STIFF so get ready to scuff some fingernails and remind yourself how heavy this keyboard is bc you have to lift it to see where the toggle is. 4. As mentioned the software Core v2.0 is pre-release and does not seem to be fully functional which is understandable. I didn't ding off this but they really need to fix this especially the battery meter. Is this an amazing keyboard? Yes it certainly is. In many ways its the nicest keyboard I've ever laid my hands on. But its not perfect in terms of design and functionality, there's still a lot they can improve upon and I am sure Glorious will do that. It is clear this company is run by PC enthusiasts and developers who understand what other PC enthusiasts want, they just need to keep iterating and getting it right.

I knew from the moment I picked up the heavy box for the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE keyboard that I was in for a treat. The metallic bodied GMMK 3 is the heaviest keyboard I’ve ever used, regardless of the 75% form factor. Despite the thick heavy frame, I find it to also be a stunner in the looks department. Bundled accessories include a screwdriver, screws, o-rings, and a braided USB-C to A charging cable. I wish this model shipped with the heavier coil cable, but it doesn’t and it must be purchased separately. The keyboard also ships with switch and keycap pullers and four swappable HE switch samples: Fox (linear), Lynx (linear), Panda (tactile), and Raptor (clicky). Four MacOS specific keycaps are also included. This is my first custom keyboard. I’m experienced at adjusting and swapping switches and key caps, as well as setting/tweaking key bindings, polling, and performance options on Hall effect keyboards. However, I have never had customization options on a level this granular where I can replace any physical component on this hot swap capable keyboard. In experimenting with the included sample switches, I now see why the Panda tactile switch gets a lot of buzz. I like that four sample switches are provided to allow actual field tests to determine which I like best before purchase. I plan to order a set of Panda switches, along with a different set of keycaps just to play around with and make the GMMK 3 my own flavor. The default linear switches aren’t bad at all and I intend to save them for possible future use at some point, but I didn’t acquire a customizable keyboard with the intention of keeping it default status quo. I plan to swap out the keycaps for something more colorful and less generic looking than the default white keycaps. I may even finally try out a few artisan keycaps. Nothing wrong with white keycaps; again just trying to put my own personal touch on the keyboard. Keyboard management is handled through the Glorious Core app. The lightweight app allows key binding, RGB lighting configurations, actuation and rapid trigger adjustments, firmware upgrades, saved config profiles and more. Additional profiles can be saved in the cloud with a free Glorious ID account. It’s similar to other keyboard management apps, with a little extra customization. The GMMK Pro 3 is a warrior of a keyboard and it plays like one. I love gaming on this big heavy baddie. It’s not just another RGB twinkling also-ran, but a fully customizable behemoth that has both excellent gaming capability and excellent customization options. Whether a gamer, DIY tinkerer, or both, it is sure to please. Now that I’ve dipped my toes into the arena of custom keyboards, I’m hooked. I’m quite tempted to order a bare bones kit to test and play around with any spare parts not being used. It doesn’t simply feel like simply another keyboard, but rather a full-blown hobby.
