Though, the audio quality and initial reaction of this purchase would give this a 4/5 rating, I cannot give it this after using the product for a little more than a year. The ear piece that secures the buds in your ear is not as comfortable as I originally thought it would be, nor does it last with normal (quite a bit less than daily) use. The ear piece began to tear, which doesn't allow the bud to stay securely in my ear, while WALKING. I would however give the audio quality 5/5 in my opinion, though I'm no audiophile. The buds performed as expected as far as the audio is concerned. However, I would not purchase this product again, nor recommend it to someone for purchase due to the construction.

Hi there, NicolasR. Thanks for sharing a review about the Pixel Buds A-Series. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with the battery life has been less than ideal.

The earbud listening time can last up to 5 hours or up to 2.5 hours of talk time, and total listening time (with charging case) of up to 24 hours or up to 12 hours of talk time. All listening times are approximate and were measured using music playback with pre-production hardware and software, with fully charged Pixel Buds A-Series and case, and other features disabled. Charging times are approximate. Use of other features will decrease battery life and depend on the device, features enabled, usage, environment, and many other factors.

If the battery life is significantly lower than the information above, we suggest contacting us through our support channels for troubleshooting guidance: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle

I'm hard on headphones, usually having one ear in at almost all times... I work with sound for work, and lived the sound of these headphones, but I had a rough run... My first pair were DOA and my second pair began having problems after a few months, but the fit and functionality have me considering replacing them still

Not overly bulky and comfortable for the short time I wore them. Easy to pair to my phone (Note 20 Ultra) and the app worked just fine, but touch controls on these is a fail. (VERY hit or miss at best). These sounded alright when playing various genres of music but TERRIBLE on calls (SEVERAL calls to users on both iPhone and Android and various cell providers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint etc.). I could hear the person I was talking to pretty clearly indoors (did not use them outside) but they said I sounded like I was either in a wind tunnel or talking through a cup far away. No amount of adjusting on my end changed/fixed that. If all I needed them for was music they might have been fine. They would not be my go-to pair of TWEs. Unfortunately, I had to return these to the store and opted for a set of Skull Candy Indy Evo. THOSE are awesome all around.

Don't be like me and assume that for $99, a basic feature like volume control would be included. I've always spent around this same price point for wireless headphones and they've all included this. Songs also repeatedly stop playing for a few seconds, and then sometimes start back up on their own, but sometimes I have to go to my phone to turn the song back on. I wouldn't buy these again.

Hey there, VicMiamiBeach. We’re sorry the Pixel Buds A-Series haven’t the best fit. Here’s some tips to try and get the earbuds feeling snug:

      1. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit: ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear.
      2. Use the Eartip Seal Check: It can help you check the quality of your eartip seal and get the best possible sound. On Android devices: Open the Google Pixel Buds app then tap Eartip Seal Check.
      3. Try memory foam eartips: If you’re not getting a perfect fit with our silicone eartips, memory foam eartips might be worth a try.

Hi grafyte, thanks for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to learn that the microphone on your Google Pixel Buds A-Series stopped working.

If you haven’t yet, you can try doing a factory reset. Here’s how:
      - Plug the charging case into a power source using the included USB-A to USB-C® cable.
      - Ensure that the earbuds are seated within the charging case and leave the charging case open.
      - At the back of the charging case, press and hold the pairing button for 30 seconds.
      - When the status light (inside light for the Pixel Buds) stops blinking, let go of the pairing button.
      - The earbuds status light will blink white and orange until the reset is complete and then it will start blinking white to indicate that the Pixel Buds are ready to be paired.

If the issue still persists, we’d like to take a closer look at your device. Please feel free to contact us anytime using this link: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle

I purchases the set in ~July 2021 and have used moderately through the last 18 months and the right earbud has recently (gradually?) lost most of it's volume. After a thorough cleaning and all of Google's troubleshooting steps with a live agent it was determined the unit was faulty. Being out of warranty, Google confirmed they do NOT repair earbuds and they could provide me a $20 credit to replace the unit. I would warn potential buyers that the earbuds do work well...while they work. I do not consider 18 months to be an acceptable product lifecycle before tossing in the dump and am dissatisfied with the overall purchase / recompense. I understand my experience is not necessarily the average user experience but anecdotally I would not purchase again.

    Clumsy Android BUDS without silicon

So... decided to give these a try with the Pixel and while they stay in your ear better than an AirPod there are some other characteristics in comparison that don't add up to quality. With AirPods, you can ask SIRI to raise or lower the volume, AirPods will read out received texts or you can ask SIRI to respond to the person's text dictate your response and SIRI asks you to send. Sorry but saying "Ok Google" every time to activate the Google Assistant is very clumsy compared to "Hey SIRI". The BUDS do not pair automatically within seconds like my AirPods on an iPhone and BUDS series A don't have gesture controls but that also is a clumsy feature compared to AirPods that need no gestures at all even though you can use a gesture if you desire.

They had a few problems that drove me to return them. First, they didn't immediately connect to my iPhone. I had to go to the phone and select them. Second, if I'd touch them, I'd hang up on a phone call. Third, they sounded slightly tinny to me. I couldn't find how to soften their sound. I went back to Apple AirPods.

Hi there, thanks for leaving your feedback about the Pixel Buds A-Series, and we’re sorry to hear of your disappointment with the battery life.

Pixel Buds A-Series will last up to 5 hours of listening time or up to 2.5 hours of talk time before they have to be placed in the charging case to recharge. When the charging case is fully charged, it stores multiple charges for the earbuds, so you can have up to 24 hours of listening time or up to 12 hours of talk time. But please note that battery life also depends on device, features enabled, usage, environment and many other factors. A 15-minute charge of earbuds in the charging case delivers up to 3 hours of listening time or up to 1.5 hours of talk time. For the best experience with your A-Series battery life, we recommend fully charging the case to 100% as this will provide about 20 hours of usage time. So there's no need to keep charging it all the time.

Here are other helpful tips when charging your A-Series:
      - It's important to check whether your A-Series are docked properly back to the case.
      - You may also want to ensure that your A-Series are cleaned thoroughly as grime and ear wax accumulation might prevent the charging contacts from connecting properly with your charging case’s magnetized pods preventing them from charging properly.

If further help is needed, you may reach out to our available support channels here and we'll gladly assist you: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle
