I have had two other wifi extenders/hubs but they didnt really work at the same speed and would only connect on the 2g band, but the google wifi actually works great and gave me a 20 mbps boost on my connection. My game doesn’t lag anymore and I can prioritize which hub gets better connection !

Why did I wait so long to get these? Omg! The difference is amazing. My entire house has signal everywhere! And its full bars. Simple to set up too. Sure we know this might mean we could be glowing the dark soon, but hey everyone is happy and connected. My husband can do his work and zillion zoom meetings with out a worry about connection or lag. My son can fortnite to his heart's content. And my kiddos can do their virtual school anywhere in the house and not be stuck in one place because of the signal. There is absolutely no lag, no slowage due to multiple devices or people online at the same time. Simply Amazing! A must if you work at home! A must if you school online! A must if your a gamer! A must if you stream music and movies! I will update if anyone starts glowing in the dark with all this wifi power. XD

I am not much of leaving reviews, but this system has surpassed my expectation I honestly only got this system because I was going to start working from home and liked that I didn't need to be right by the router that's located in the living room, to be Able to connect directly to the internet with a ethernet cord to the wifi point. it has made my life easier but it has also been helping with the speeds of my internet since getting it when playing online with my friends on the ps4 I no longer experience lag.

Terrible for a 3 story home

So, let me start off by saying that I currently use a Linksys router that is about four years old in the basement of my 3 story home (including the basement). That router has been working fine since I moved into my house, but I do notice that upstairs I get a slightly weaker and slower wifi signal. So, i decided to try a mesh system after reading a lot about them and this specific one have a lot of good reviews. Well let me tell you how disappointing the system was. The biggest benefit I see to it was that it is extremely easy to set up. Set up took about 10 minutes and then it updated for about another 10. The Wi-Fi signal in the office that the main hub (the puck that was acting as the main router) was extremely fast. My current router gives me about 240 mbps down and this one did give me 380mbps. But, on every other level of the home (I placed a puck in the basement, main level and upstairs) was extremely laggy. I couldn't even stream Hulu or Netflix without it buffering every minute. And the Apple TV is inches away from the Wi-Fi puck. everything on the Google Home app said that all three pucks had extremely strong signal and the mesh network seemed to be working seamlessly, but that didn’t feel like the case. Anywhere in the house besides being in the office with the main router on any device was extremely laggy. Overall this system was very disappointing and I will probably just be getting another (stronger) single router and returning this one.

Great home network system. Runs all my devices with no lag. Has guest network for friends. Has every room in my house covered. My 4K TV’s runs smooth while Xbox is playing and multiple laptops running. I have notice that 13 devices going at once you will notice a lag. But it’s not a huge lag.

Regret waiting so long to join the mesh wave, these things work wonders and help keep all my connections at operable speeds. No more lag time whatsoever which is great being that we are all stuck at home.

Just bought a 4,000 sq ft house and needed a device that would extend the WiFi connection from the first floor. This has definitely come in handy especially working from home and need to be “hard wired” which this device allows that via the Ethernet port on each device. There has not been any lag using this. I would definitely recommend this especially if you want to avoid the extra fee of having a WiFi enabled modem from cable providers.

Pros Price is great, works well in my two story home with Spectrum, and the setup was minimal. Cons Slight lag but workable as opposed to the Nighthawk with WiFi 6 I purchased prior. Let me insert that my area is still being developed so it could be that’s the reason for the lags. Final opinion It’s worth a shot so give it a go!

Set up wasn't too bad. Had to move it around a few times to figure out good spots. Tried hooking up the wifi routers to WAN but didn't seem to make any difference. Performance degrades every couple of days and needs a speed test from router. Mobile devices don't seem to pick up the closest wifi point. I have to go off wifi and turn it back on. Lag is horrible. Device is sitting right above the xbox and the lag makes it so bad, you can't even play. I've had it 30 days now so too far out to return it.
