It has been the best purchase to keep coffee and atole always hot, I use it for work and we enjoy something hot in this cold weather, it is the best.

Did I want to buy this? No. Did I have to buy this? NO, but I chose to buy it because my adult child moved home and is so heavy-handed that the carafe to my Drip coffee maker was cracked from overuse. I mean, really, how many times a day can a person make and drink 12 cups of coffee? In my house, the running tally is at least 3 times a day. So when I was informed of a crack in the glass carafe, that appeared mysteriously, I was shocked to see how much a replacement glass carafe cost. So, weighing my options, I asked myself this question: how long would a new glass carafe last living with "Sherman" on his march through my kitchen making coffee 3 + times a day/night, plundering coffee? "Sherman's" complaint, "the automatic timer of the drip maker cuts off before one can consume every drop of coffee, all fresh and hot." Have you priced coffee? It is too costly to waste. Therefore, when I discovered this on sale at Best Buy for approximately the same price as a replacement glass coffee pot. I decided, why not? A. It is stainless steel, so no broken glass. B. Once the coffee has perked, the warmer stays on so that the coffee is hot until consumed. C. It makes up to 45 cups of coffee with 1 brew. Take that Sherman! The least you can brew is 15 cups, so I still come out ahead on coffee. The unknown secret is that It really brews a delicious cup of coffee - and it tastes good after reheating in the pot. Simply remove the basket and tube at the end of the brewing cycle (after the light comes on to let you know when it is ready), and discard the coffee grounds. Put the lid back on the pot and keep closed. It must be unplugged to stop the warming process. Just plug it back in to reheat. Best buy at Best Buy!

I like it so far, very nice coffee urn. My last coffee urn had a detachable plug to make storage easier. This doesn't have a detachable one, but it's still a good urn. I'd buy it again.
