I was originally going to get the UE boom, but the cute blue shirt guy convinced me to go with this. Don't be fooled by the small size. This amazing little speaker can get quite loud! I can hear it all over my two story house. And the quality is top notch. I feel submerged in the music when listening to this. I just wish it had a larger battery. I usually have to recharge it after 3-4 hours. And it would be great if you could pair it with another speaker. Still, a great buy. No regrets!

This speaker has amazing loud sound and don't distortion the music. But it has poor battery life, maybe it has a mistake from factory. I found a small way to prevent this is turned off when not using the outlet; I turn the sound check in settings music on my iPhone.

Sounds great! Easy to use. This has been one of the best purchases in a long time. The salesman was spot on! This speaker will not disappoint!!!!

Sound quality is awesome. It has clear sound and deep bass. While you are listening to some music, you feel that you are in the concert. This is my 3rd speakers. I put it in each of the room in my house. Besides being a quality speaker, its battery and speaker phone are the extra components because without these components, it is still a perfect speaker!

The Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2 may be the best Bluetooth Wireless Speaker System...Period. I have multiple Bluetooth speakers and for the money ($199) this product can't be beat...enormous sound, not tinny, good base...buy it you'll surely enjoy the sound for years to come!

Kinda hard to go wrong with Harmon Kardon products and this is no different. I use this thing everywhere, whether I'm on the road or at home. The only problem is my teenage daughter keeps taking it, other than that this thing rocks. It does use a little bit of battery if you have it turned up but that's to be expected if you know anything about speakers and there capabilities.

I bought this speaker over a month ago and it's been a great addition to my home. I currently live in an apartment and the sound is awesome! The only thing that I don't care for is that you have to have it plugged into a socket for it to work. I would like to move around the house without it being plugged in. Overall it's a great buy and I recommend it to anyone.

This is the best Bluetooth I could find. It has been truly wonderful. It's got a very good battery life, as well as very high end sounds. I recommend this speaker for the supreme sound any Bluetooth speaker can offer. I would buy another one, it's just that satisfying.

A longtime audiophile with a couple sets of top drawer stereo speakers, it amazes me how much this small speaker impresses me. In the store, I listened carefully to most of the Bose portables and those which needed to be plugged in. Then the salesman led me to this for comparison. I was listening to an HD Audio file (192kbps/24 bit) of Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life from my iPhone 6S Plus. When I heard it on the Onyx Studio 2, his voice just rang out too me, true, present, and clear. I could see him in front of me. It was phenomenal. I went back and forth to the Bose three times and the OS2 shined like a freshly buffed copper pot. Once home, I found many uses with its portability: bathroom, kitchen, balcony, and on the kitchen table behind my iPad to watch Beasts of No Nation on Netflix. All lovely. Going to use it at the ice rink for power stroking. All in all, I'm most impressed by the intimacy of its sound with every type of music: classical, chamber, jazz, rock, folk, metal. The input came from my iDevices with many different apps like Apple Music, Spotify, TuneIn, and VLC (for the HD files). Excellent detail and spaciousness even at very low volume levels. And, if desired, it can rock a large room.

This speaker is incredible!! The sound is full, bass is full and deep, it just blows away anything else in this price range! Even the JBL Xtreme can't match the sound from this speaker (I have both). It does have it's down side, battery life could be better. It also doesn't run at full power when running off of battery power but is still plenty loud. It is not water or splash resistant, so if you want something to take to the beach, you would probably go with the JBL. But even with all of this, this speaker does best what it was made to do and that is play music! I did have to return the speaker twice as there was a vibration in the first two which was quite annoying. Playing the intro to John Legend's Coming Home produced the vibration every time. Must have been a bad batch, the first two were from the same store, the third unit I got was from another store and was perfect. I placed this unit in the corner of the room to amplify the sound and it fills the entire living room, I can't even use it at full volume because it is LOUD! With the recent sale on these at around $199, BUY IT!!

First heard this when I was at the Sprint store. Was amazed at the sound from just this one speaker. They had it playing as the main speaker on their display & it filled the whole store. Sound was rich & crisp, and had a deep bass, which I tend to prefer. I saw it again at BB and decided to end up purchasing it. I'm so glad I did. The bluetooth function is great, synced up perfectly w/ my iPhone 6, and the battery lasts as long as it says. I also listen to it while it's plugged in (charging), makes a slight change in the sound( slightly louder ) but, it's not enough to be real noticeable though. Love the portability of it as well, not too big, easy to take anywhere. Has to be one of my favorite purchases.

First, i got it on sale for 149.99, was amazed by the price. Excellent sound quality, very ellegant speaker design, loud like a boombox and very bassy but balanced. Only downside is the rechargeable battery only last 5 hours.

Found this speaker on sale at Best Buy-read a lot of reviews before purchasing-the battery will last a couple hours if not at full volume,but when plugged in-it sounds awesome! No distortion at full volume. Sure it would be nice to sync 2 together-but for the $199 I paid on sale= I am completely satisfied with its superior sound.Easy blue tooth pairing connection with my I-phone.Has deep rich bass and plenty of power.Perfect for the patio or indoors-you will not be disappointed.

Has great sound! Great bass. Had a friend that had one and once I heard it I had to have one. It has blue tooth and is so easy to use. We take it out to the patio and use our phones to play music. Big sound for with just a little speaker system. 5 stars

The speaker was bigger than I expected but it has fit well into our home. Sounds great and as others have stated, it fills the room w/sound. Love that it's portable w/a battery for moving outside w/out the cords. Also, being able to bluetooth to two devices simultaneously and switch between songs is a nice feature.

There are a lot of good thing about this speaker. The design is sleek and smooth and can be placed in any room. The sound us nothing less than phenomenal as expected from Harmon Kardon. The only 2 bad things I found was there is no battery indicator so it will just cut off in the middle of your favorite song. Also, battery life is anything but good especially if you are like me and like to play your music loud. Great party speaker if you're near an outlet

Bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. Wasn't sure he'd like it, as other reviewers said it didn't have much battery life. Which is true. But great sound, bass doesn't take over when you turn it up, good Bluetooth connection. Hubby hasn't used it very much off of the cord, though.

My wife purchased the larger Marshall unit as a Christmas present for me and while I loved the look and feel of it the sound was a bit lacking. It had lots of power and volume but it was very directional in that if you were off center ( not standing in front of it ) the sound seemed dull and muddled. I went to Best Buy and listened to every bluetooth speaker in the $200-$400 price range using my own music from my iPhone. Nothing in this price range comes close to the sound of the Harman Kardon Onyx! The sound is rich and crystal clear even at very low volume. Its sound is room filling in nearly all directions and the low end punch is massive for something of this size. Extremely impressed. Negatives? None. This thing is amazing especially at the sale price (half the cost of the pretty Marshall).

My cousin paid full price for one of these Onyx Studio 2's when it first came out because he's a self prescribed home theatre and music speaker expert. He's quite knowledgable actually but I never believed him when he said it was one of the best blue tooth speakers out there and worth every penny. He said it produces the same sound as a multi-thousand $ system. He said he uses it at his work, sits it on his porch, relaxes with it playing his favorite tunes in his bedroom, sets it on the bathroom counter and sings to it while showering even! I told him to bring it out to the backyard one day when we were building a new deck for my house. All I could say was WOW! Within a week I was entering my local Best Buy and fully prepared to pay full price when I discovered from the Best Buy rep that was helping me out they were on sale for $199! My cousin was with me and he said go for it! I went to pick up a box and sitting right next to it was one labeled "Open Box" and I couldn't believe my eyes. A $400 speaker for $87?! No way! I snatched it up knowing all about Best Buy's guarantee on open box products that have been tested and inspected. I've been listening to this absolutely fantastic bluetooth speaker for about two months now. The battery last a long time but be aware that the louder you play it the quicker the battery goes. Hooking up all of my devices via bluetooth was an absolute breeze. My 6 year old could do it. This speaker is the bomb! I plan on using it for my outdoor BBQ's this spring and summer. The clarity of the music is ultra sharp, rich sounds and deep base allow me to hear things in the music I never heard before. Buy it NOW! You won't be disappointed. Definitely worth full price but if you want to save $100 or more you could wait for a sale. Don't forget BB price matches as well. The only trouble I had with the purchase was the sideways look I got from my wife when I brought it home because she knew how much it retails for. Once she realized how much I paid for it she was suddenly ok with it. LOL.

Purchased the Onyx Studio 2 speaker about a month ago for a good price. It replaced a high quality WiFi speaker that had become expensive to operate due to streaming data costs. I was affraid that I would be disappointed with sound quality when going from WiFi to Bluetooth but I am not. It has a rich well rounded sound. Set up and operation is a breeze and the design is easy on the eyes. I only suggest you shop for a good value, the manufacturers suggested retail price is on the high side.
