Works Great - not the quietest though
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The humidity in our house had dropped to 36%. We purchased this unit and in just one day the humidity was back up to an acceptable 49%. When the furnace is running, this unit pretty much runs 24/7 to keep the humidity at that level. It is not as quiet as I would like it to be even on the lowest fan setting. It goes through a full tank of water in about 24 hours. Not too difficult to fill the tank but requires a little maneuvering to place it back in the unit. Overall, happy with the job it performs.

Does its job.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had several Honeywell cool mist humidifiers. I bought this one because my last one finally quit and they no longer made the model I had. The humidifier does a good job at keeping humidity about where you want it (I'm using it in a 750 sqft apartment). The two things I don't like about it are; the motor, while I doesn't make any more noise than any of the other humidifiers I've had, it's a little whiny. The other issue is every time you fill the water, you need to flip the filter over in order to keep it damp. The problem is the filter sets in a water tray right above the fan motor. In order to keep from dripping water into the fan motor you have to take the water tray out of the humidifier flip the filter then replace it. It's not a big deal but it's kind of a pain.

Better options out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Living in Colorado inside humidity is a major problem in the winter time, I have used numerous humidifiers over the past 10 years and usually expect to get 2-3 years of use out of them. The Honeywell QuietCare UV Tower lasted about 3 weeks in our house before being returned. We had this unit running in our family/great room area which is about 800sqft. Quiet is a flat out lie, it is very loud. On the lowest fan setting you can hear it running throughout a 2500sqft house. Filters need to be replaced every 4 weeks or less because of poor design where the fan doesn't shut off and dries out the filter until it is so brittle that it cracks apart. We have used other Honeywell products in the past and typically get a full winter season out of a filter. Does not shut off automatically when it runs out of water, fan will just keep running; wasting power, making noise. and blowing cold (low-ground height) air which makes the entire room feel cold. Water tank design is bad, it is very awkward to refill the tank and install it back in the tower. The mouth of the tank sits on the side of the filter where the filter is unnaturally bent to fit. This causes the mouth of the tank to hit the filter (see brittle comment) which effectively breaks the filter when it is dry.

love it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 for my house. Upstairs and downstairs. On high the fan is a little loud, but they work great. I have to fill them about once a day. Only bad thing is it will not tell you when out of water. It just keeps going.

Useful but needs improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have owned this humidifier about a month, and it has run continuously since we bought it. The good: Humidifies the air effectively for about 700 square feet where we have it Doesn't leave white film that ultrasonic humidifiers leave Is easy to take apart and clean tank and tray, or change filter - no tools needed Has UV light for bacteria reduction The not-so-good Is much louder than an ultrasonic humidifier, though not so loud that we find it really annoying (but we have grown used to white noise when we sleep from a HEPA filter) Needs refilling every 12 -14 hours when run on high with outdoor temperatures generally 0-20 degrees F. The automatic shutoff worked once and hasn't worked since, so I have to check

Good Humidifier for Bedroom/Large Room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The humidifier works well. It is quiet on the lowest fan setting so it is good for bedroom use. The highest setting gets a little louder but not too bad. Overall works well with the humidity control. The lowest setting keeps the room at about 35% humidity and the highest setting gets it up to about 60%. My room is about 250 sq ft and we leave our door open to get the humidity out to the rest of the house. Between this and a vick's small room humidifier it keeps our 2000 sq ft house at near perfect humidity.

Works well and has variable speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit was easy to unpackage and setup. Works well and has variable speeds, the lower settings are fairly quiet, but the higher settings are a little noisy for maximum air flow.

Honeywell Humidifier performs great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fan and humidity controls are simple. I also purchased a "Hygrometer" to keep track of humidity levels. The 3 gallon container usually last thru the night depending on how often the furnace runs. It's well worth the price, no more sore throats or dried out nasal passage. Make sure to set the unit on a table or chair to eliminate wet carpet or slippery floors.

Does it's job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this humidifier for our 1000 sq. foot first floor. It does not take up much space, and keeps the house comfortable. The down side is that it is a little noisy, espcially shortly after refil when it makes a funny gurgling sound. It does throw of a cold draft that my husband complains about. All in all it was a good buy.

Good diversity of settings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has humidity settings and 3 fan speeds. Has performed well in the month I have had it.You can hear the fan and the water gurgle into the unit when needed. So not a super quiet unit but most are not.

Great Humidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quiet on low and medium speeds with high speed being "not bad". Works well, empties the reservoir in a single day (when cold outside). My only issues are the following (not big deals): The reservoir is a little funky to replace (when refilling), you have to angle it in around the wick. Whenever you replace the reservoir (or the kids run by) the power shuts off and the controls reset to high fan speed, UVC light on and humidity setpoint turned off (ie. run forever).

Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this because our existing humidifier couldn't put out enough moisture in the winter months. This unit does a very good job at dispensing water into the air quickly, but the one downside is that even on low setting, it is LOUD. If you don't mind that, get it!

Overall good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Honeywell humidifier and I have been happy with the product. The first one lasted about 3 1/2 years and probably stopped working due to not changing the filter frequently enough. It will calcify and clog things up.

Great but has flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing works really well. But it leaks water all over the floor adter every use. And the filter it uses is expensive and only good for a couple uses.

Nice product for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product works great. For years I've suffered from dry air during the winter until now. Since I've gotten this product, the air in my apartment is more comfortable. Only bad thing, on the highest setting, it runs constantly and does not shut off which makes it run out of water faster. And on the lowest setting it will not turn on, at least not that I've noticed since after refilling the tank and turning it on at the lowest setting overnight , I've noticed no change in the water level. So you pretty much have to have the settings anywhere in between for it to automatically turn on and off. Other than that this product works great and would recommend it to anybody looking for a product that works well and won't exactly break the bank in price.
