This era of movies ( early 2000’s ) is unmatched in comedy and this one is no exception! It’s hilarious from beginning to end

Exciting and action packed, but also hilarious. Sean of the Dead is good, but this is even better! If you haven't seen it, you're missing out.

Hot Fuzz is the second installment of the Cornetto Trilogy, following Shaun of the Dead and preceding The World's End. Shaun of the Dead was the troupe's take on a zombie movie, The World's End is their take on a paranoia movie (a la Invasion of the Body Snatchers), and this here is their take on an action/suspense movie. Across all three movies, you'll see many of the same faces, but the roles are always different, so there's the built-in joy of saying "Hey, that was the bartender in the other movie, and the priest in the other other movie," but don't expect recurring characters. A couple of faces unique to this installment are 007 veteran Timothy Dalton and Rory McCann, who you may know as The Hound from Game of Thrones. Brilliantly written and performed, you'll catch jokes and foreshadowing and references more and more each time you watch any of the Cornetto Trilogy movies. Hot Fuzz is likely to be my favorite of the three, which says a lot, considering how great Shaun of the Dead was. Its story is fully understandable for a single viewing, but is really richly understood after several viewings, making it an invaluable home video purchase. Honorable mention for the bonus features as well.

Hot Fuzz is an unique, entertaining movie with lots of great characters and comedy coming throughout the this Cult Classic film. Hot shot cop in London (Simon Pegg) does his job so well that it makes everyone in the Police force look bad. So he is sent packing to a rural area Police Station where crime doesn't exist (on the surface). But then strange activities, including murder take place. (Simon Pegg) investigates with his new friend on the force to unravel the mysterious happenings in and around town. There are quite a few funny parts and action scenes. It is set in the pasture of a small quiet town which makes things all the more funny with overdrawn accents and jokes. Hot Fuzz is a real well rounded comedy, where eventually the good guys win!

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are teamed up again in Hot Fuzz. The duo first appeared in "Shaun of the Dead", which is a fantastic zombie-comedy (zom-com). This time, Pegg is transferred from London, where he is just making everyone look bad as a super cop that follows every rule, out to the small town of Sanford, where there hasn't been a murder in years. Not to ruin the plot, but things aren't what they appear and the duo must overcome overwhelming odds to claim victory. Kudos to Timothy Dalton, whose character I really enjoyed. It's well written, the colors are fantastic in HD, and the 5.1 DTS-HD soundtrack really gives all 5 channels a workout, while keeping your subwoofer engaged frequently. And what movie would be complete without a winking nod to "Point Break", the epitome of late 80's action/buddy films. If "Shaun of the Dead" is in your collection, then "Hot Fuzz" should be there as well.

Another winner from Simon Pegg after Shaun of the Dead this is my second favorite film. You can't go wrong with the team of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Great movie and great 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. It has an excellent picture and awesome sound. It blows my old Blu-ray out of the water.

Fantastic movie with an incredibly sharply written script and top notch directing. If you liked Shaun of The Dead, I think this is a worthy if not maybe better follow up to that film. Really solid transfer with lots of options for viewing.

I own this film in several different formats (digital, blu ray, dvd) because it is one of the best films of all time. Simon pegg and Edgar Wright killed it on the writing side and Nick frost will always be the coolest side kick ever.

This movie is an j Stanton classic that drops constant references to other instant classics. If you've ever wanted to point a gun at the sky and unload a full clip like in 'Point Break', then this is the action / comedy for you.

Re-watching this in preparation for the movie release of the final chapter of the cornetto trilogy of films by Edgar Wright was a real pleasure with this sumptuously crafted film. It is funny and well made. See it and never regret it.

A Must own for Fans of Blu-Ray and Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg! This movie takes a little bit to get going, but is just as great as Shaun of the Dead. Plus, it's packed with Hilarious special features. Especially The FuzzBall Rally.

Edgar Wright is a genius b@stard of a director. Hot Fuzz is no exception. Pitch perfect buddy cop movie with none of the guilty tropes like terrible acting, dialogue, and plot.

After setting up my Dolby Atmos theater, there is nothing better than the 4K Blu Rays. They just look and sound amazing. Hot Fuzz didn’t disappoint. The sound track is mixed well and the movie looks good in the 4K transfer.
