    Some people never learn

I purchased an HP Envy Laptop 16" 360 at hundreds below list price. And there was a reason for that. Bought it 2/27/25, It failed on 3/12/25. "Hard drive cannot be found" "Install an OS" All home remedies came to naught. Best Buy's Chatbot ran me around in circles. Found out after buying Geek Squads one year service for all the devices I can bring in for free repair is thwarted by HP's Warranty. The customer / technical service line at HP is overseas. Having read their reviews, customers are driven to madness by the bumbling folk at what was once a good company. Sounds like a refund may be in order, IF this laptop on sale can be returned. The moral to this story is the same as walking into a on-chain used car shop - do not get waylaid by a salesman that is merely trying to move product. Want a Mac? Exit with a Mac No more shiny devices on sale. Looks great, but lousy software and hardware.

HP Envy 2-in-1 is fine - not great, but it works.

While I had high expectations for this laptop as I was buying it brand new, I have been disappointed in the months since I purchased it. My previous laptop of 5 years finally kicked the bucket, so I purchased this one as a replacement because I need to have a laptop for my school and work. I have had numerous issues with the laptop's audio (cracking, not making sound at all, glitching, etc.), as well as it shutting down and generally being incredibly difficult to troubleshoot minor issues. It works a bit better than my old one (which is expected when comparing brand new vs. five years of heavy use), but given the opportunity I would not purchase an HP device again.

Poor performance for average business usage

I purchased this laptop for business use, to replace a 7-year-old desktop. I'm returning it today after using it for 3 weeks. Even with 16 GB of RAM and Ryzen 7, it was unable to handle all of the tabs and business apps that I need to use. None of the apps are huge memory hogs -- Canva, a website content management app, project management app, Gmail, Google Drive -- but I had to constantly close tabs and apps just to get it to work properly. Very obvious memory issues (broken graphics, icons in Gmail appearing as words, webpages appearing as text). I finally gave up on it when it was unable to run reports from a database -- it constantly crashed attempting to format the data into reports. And, just to put the nail in the coffin, the resolution on the laptop screen suddenly became super-pixelated. Switched back to my old desktop with 16 GB RAM and a Ryzen 3, and it is easily able to handle everything that paralyzed this laptop, and more. I'm used to hardware working well out of the box but this laptop had tons of issues and is unusable for average business needs.

Purchased an HP laptop via Best Buy's Telephone Sales Department. Never advised the salesperson that I would be using the laptop for gaming. She advised an HP Ryzen. I had no idea it was a laptop primarily for people who game. She also advised me that the instore Geek Squard could transfer my documents/data from my old laptop to my new laptop while I waited in the store which turned out to not be true, Not an overall good experience.

Very disappointing. I bought this as an open box purchase second day that I had it The backspace failed to work I took it back and without doing anything it returned to proper working order after my second week of owning it it has quit working and has never returned to working order. I don't have time to keep going back to the store and fixing this and I'm just totally upset with the product. In addition I have now somehow lost the ability to use my voice to text system is it claims that I do not have my input microphone hooked up. Setting up the product has been a nightmare and I have found the geek squad to be very short towards meeting my expectations.

Open to chrome tabs and it starts to heat up. Awesome display but overheating is a huge turn off and I returned it.
