Passing off used printers as "New"
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not purchase this printer from Best Buy! I bought it January 15th and went to set it up today. I get an error code and it says to "contact HP support" for assistance. I put in the serial number and it comes back as EXPIRED WARRANTY. Best buy sold me a "new" printer with a warranty that expired in November! And when I contact Best Buy, they try to sell me installation! Then support ignores the expired warranty issue and tries to troubleshoot a "defective printer."

Run away unless you want to loose sleep
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its always a hassle to get it to work on the basic tasks, either it doesn’t respond and you have to send a document to print numerous times, it doesn’t scan because it doesn’t recognize the printer or it will wake you up at night if the printer is in your bedroom. With non sense loud sounds or flashing lights from an update or because it somehow “disconnected” from the wifi. All night it has been flashing and i am TIRED of having to disconnect it for it to function. The old HP printers were much better quality than the garbage they sell now on the market.

No good.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It prints well on regular paper. I bought this to print labels on sticker paper but the ink smears and you can literally wipe off the ink from the sticker paoer. I don’t recommend. Sadly I cannot return it. It was delivered January 22 and the return window closed Febuary 6. Not happy at all.

Worst HP Printer I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only owned HP printers. But this thing is junk or a got a bad unit. It never prints right away. It gives off errors and then about 4 minutes later it prints on its own (without any correction to the errors). Now that I have gotten to change out ink, it wont let me print the alignment page. So I unplug it because the power button does nothing. Once plugged back in, it prints the alignment page, but then wont scan it. You just get 5 buttons and no screen like my old envy printers. Nothing pops up on screen either. I will definitely consider another printer brand if this is the direction HP is going. I feel like we have gone back 20 years in technology with this basic printer and poor functioning..

Don't bother, unless you want a disposable printer
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT be like me and hope the good reviews are right. This printer had mixed reviews and I decided to take a chance on it. I thought maybe the bad reviews had just happened to get faulty products, because there were so. many good reviews. I deeply regret that decision. It worked great for about the first 10 things I needed to print. Easy to set up, no issues printing, good print quality. I was actually shocked at how well it worked because for some reason all printers are impossible to get working properly. A month or two later (just passed the return window I might add), my luck ran out. Now, it constantly disconnects from wifi even though I always leave it on and there's no way that I've found to fix it. Powering off and back on doesn't work. Even trying to set it up as a new printer doesn't work because (shockingly) it doesn't show up on the network! It just chooses when it wants to be connected. So as it is, it's a gamble of whether or not it will connect when I need to print something, then on the off chance it does connect to wifi and I'm able to print from it, it prints HORRIBLY. Ink levels are completely fine yet it skips over lines and looks very faded. It's the same regardless of if I print in color or black and white. I do not print often so these issues were by no means inflicted by over use. I am now stuck with a printer that doesn't work. I may try reaching out to support, but I've heard bad things about those experiences too. Take my advice, don't buy this printer unless you're looking for a disposable one to replace after 10 print jobs.

Avoid.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible device. First of all, it doesn't work. The WiFi connector is not available. HP support does not recognize the printer SKU on the label, and support was not provided. Additionally, HP requires you to create an account and MANDATORILY enable localization. Guys, it's just a printer! All I need to do is print a page from time to time. Why do I need to report to HP where I’m doing that? Returned to BB and bought a Brother printer instead. It connected in 5 minutes, no account required, and no forced localization enabled.

I'd have them make you a print. See what you think
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My bad, I guess. HP printers were the last thing I would use when I worked for Kinkos. I got hooked, with the line and the sinker, on their ink promo. This is more of a home-based small business printer--or rather color is not the primary use of ink when using the ENVY printer series. I have been running 20# 92 bright paper, which should pick up the color right and lay it down smoothly and evenly. I print my art and there is no way this ENVY is up to the task. Perhaps consider two printers: Not that this printer is especially fast, but it will be faster than Canon's inkjet. If you seriously need speed in either color or b&w, anything that is an inkjet will just not make it. Canon PIXMAs are best for images that are important, like for art or photographs. But. I'm not impressed with anything about this machine. Only you can decide, though. Go into BB and get an associate to print something to any of the printers that you are considering. I know better, I just thought I knew more than I did.

Buyer Beware
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of prints is lovely, when it will actually print. The printer is constantly showing that it is online and ready, however will not wake up to print and then the app shows it is offline, even though it is not. The only way to fix this is by unplugging it, as the back “power” button is non responsive as well. There is no way through the app to wake the printer or reset it, so if you did want to “print from anywhere” well, good luck!

Instant ink Scam
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Free Instant Ink offer with printer is a Scam. Last year we purchased a new HP Desktop and printer. The printer came with an instant ink program (free) which we signed up for. Thought we would give it a try. I went on line and canceled the service which ended couple days ago. Made no sense to continue the service since we don’t use that much ink or paper. Didn’t make sense financially. Mind you now over the period of a year I only received one cartridge each (color and black). They were just recently installed Today I tried to print a document from my phone. It would not print. I tried printing from desk top it didn’t print. So I messed with it several hours and decided to call HP. I was informed that the ink cartridges I received from the instant ink program has a chip in them. If you stop the service the cartridges even though you paid for them, will not work. Yes that is correct. The cartridges may be freshly installed, and full of ink (that you paid for); but it will not work. You must buy new cartridges. The ones they sent are useless unless you continue the service. To me that is fraud. I will report it to the state attorney general and check into a class action lawsuit.

Not the same as the old Envy Printer.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously a thin, beautiful Envy printer around 2012. It lasted 10 years, and I loved it! Now I bought this one, believing it would be a great replacement because I want it to be relatively thin so it fits under my bed. This is just garbage. It keeps printing the calibration pages (I wasted so much paper and ink already with this), and it is just a cheap, unreliable, and problematic printer. Miss my old Envy.

Screeching noise is Annoying
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer works great, and it is exactly the size I wanted. However, there is a high pitched, yet subtle screech emitting from the printer. It took me about a week before I figured out where it was coming from. It is SO ANNOYING! I called to see what could be done but was told I would have to pay$100 to have it looked at. That is more then the printer. Not happy with the product nor the service from best buy. I am 2 days over the 2 week return policy.

Random connectivity makes it unreliable
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst printer I have ever owned! 1. It has a pulsating sound, like a heartbeat, that is continuous. 2. It setup easily the first time, but when my router was changed out, I have tried 4 or 5 times to connect it to my computer and I can't get it to connect, even following HP's online manual. I have even connected it manually to my computer, and the HP printing app can't seem to find the printer time after time. Sometimes it prints, sometimes the computer can't find it. 3. The control panel on the printer are just lighted icons, which require you to "push this one once and that one twice and watch for the green light" to do anything. I am thinking I will throw this in the trash and call it a loss. Never buying HP printers again.

This printer give me anxiety
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I don’t recommend this printer, unless you have all day to print one paper. You’ll be lucky if it doesn’t jam on you. Look for another option this ain’t the one.

Can I just print PLEASE!!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What is going on in the world of printers these days. Sign up for this subscribe for that. I JUST WANT TO PRINT!!! Long story short, if you do not follow the directions properly then the printer will brick the ink it came with. Trouble connecting to the Internet on and off, then followed by E Zero that keeps popping up saying that the ink cartridges are not compatible now. How is that possible? It came with the printer! I'm glad I brought the printer on sale and not full price. Gold star for you if yours is working, but that fact that one small mistake makes the printer useless is just plan ridiculous. Seeing that HP chose to go this route. I'm never buying their product again.

Does Not Connect to Computer - Won’t Print!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This darn thing connected to the Internet when we first got it, but that was it. It will not print wirelessly. That means it’s no good to us and never expecting this to happen, I threw out the box, so I can’t return it. I have tried everything. The manual has said to try to get it to work but it won’t. The reason I bought this was because I got a new computer that runs Windows 11 and my older 2015 Canon printer has drivers that are obsolete and Canon doesn’t update them anymore. Therefore I couldn’t get this new computer to work with that Canon printer. Now I’ve got two printers sitting side-by-side. Neither of them will work with my computer. I’m not happy with this purchase and I do not recommend it at all.

off line death
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.set up was pretty easy and printed some pages. Left town for several days and printer now shows off line. Have followed all of the instructions and it prints more specific things to do to try and fix. Have spent over an hour on it. Glad I got it on sale as it is going into the trash.

Stopped working after 7 months
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.worked fine and as expected for several months. Now all lights flash, with repeating error codes. did all troubleshooting steps and reset. even left unplugged for over a week and still does not work. I tried to get support from Best Buy and there is a $108 service fee! The printer is not worth that much. will be cheaper for me to buy a new one.

Stay away, don't buy.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never worked from the start. You have to pay for anything you want best buy to do. Poor service, poor support. Still under warranty but best buy won't do anything without $$$. Last time I shop here. Will do to Amazon again where there is never an issue
