Not great if you don't print much or often.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prints OK if you can get it to connect. The hp instant ink is a joke if you don't print much. And after all, aren't we all trying to get to a paperless society? So I have had the printer 3 months and they do not make it clear (maybe its hidden somewhere in all the legal yada yada) that those print cartridges they send you thru the subscription, no longer work if you cancel the subscription. I hadn't even used all the ink from the cartridge that came with the printer. I had gotten one sent immediately after subscribing and hadn't even put it in yet, but when I canceled they informed me that those cartridges would no longer work. WHAT? What a waste. They say I can send it back for recycling...So they can send they out again? The best buy information on that printer said it had bluetooth connectivity, but I have yet to find anything that would allow me to connect with blue tooth. When I print, sometimes it appears it won't print and then 10 minutes later, it spits out the document. And I don't like the way it has this glowing light that stays on all the time. Can't tell me that doesn't use electricity at a time when everyone's worried about the power grid anyway. About half the time it tells me the printer is offline, so what's the point of leaving the printer on? I'm about to go back to a wired printer that I can turn off and unplug when I don't need it and not have to jump thru hoops to get it to work again.

Avoid instant Ink
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer works great, looks clean and has a small profile - all which I love. I didn't give 5 stars because of the ink. HP pushes Instant Ink like crack so I gave in and subscribed. I just don't print that much so even at their lowest option, I was getting too much ink. So, before the ink piled up, I canceled my subscription. WHAT THEY DIDN'T TELL ME was after I canceled, my Instant Ink cartridges wouldn't work anymore. Yes, the printer knows the difference. Now I can only use store-bought ink. Can you believe that? Even though I paid for the Instant Ink, I can't use it because I unsubscribed. Unethical and ridiculous! We all know ink is where the profits are and having recurring revenue from ink subscriptions is brilliant from a business perspective. Just don't penalize us if we unsubscribe.

Moody lil’ printer
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dislike this printer big time. Not sure why, but it constantly jams and disconnects from wifi. If I can get it to print something, I have no complaints! It’s a beautiful print, but not able to use it regularly so I would say no to anyone looking to buy this. The saying is true, “you pay for what you get.” Well, true in all circumstances except for divorce.

Moody printer
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer printers with a screen that tells me what it needs. This one has codes and colors and you have to refer back to the manual to decode its needs. If it sits for too long between uses 5-7 days it requires pushing the reset button or unplugging it. Ive had this for 8 months and nows its flashing every code and color it has. Ill be taking it in for service. The paper tray does not hold a ton of paper, less than a 1/4 of an inch of paper. When it works, the printing is excellent and quick.

Not impressed
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to like this printer. When it works, it is great. However, it only works maybe 50% of the time. It is always "offline" or all the lights start flashing on it for not reason at all. And when I go into the settings on the computer, it is like there is nothing wrong with it. We are just a regular family with minimum printing needs, and this has been a lemon thus far. Also, the instant ink is only available with a membership...not cool to advertise it like it is free and then not let you use it.

Okay printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer is generally good. I did not encounter any issues with it. My only complaint is that I have to use the HP smart app on my phone and computer to print things, and I can't set it as my default printer. So if I want to print something off a web page I can't. I tried reaching out to customer support and they were no help. I will be returning it.

false advertising!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the compact computer is perfect for my office. I do have a larger one in another office in my home. sort of disappointed with the advertising. it indicated that the purchaser would get 6-month ink supply for free, well that was not the case. I had to do a monthly purchase to obtain the ink and it has not arrived and I am out of ink. I purchased ink, online from this same company and they sent me a new printer. where's my ink?! well I will be writing to the. company on this.

Good printer but ink cartridge issue
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer had great promise but we couldn’t get the ink cartridges to work out of the box. We liked the look of the printer was easy to set up but I’m not sure if it was faulty ink cartridges or the internal connection. Figured if we were having issues right out of the box it was a sign to return the whole thing and buy something else so we did.

Emits night pitch humming noise constantly.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer itself is great. It’s easy to set up. No hassles with the internet set up. Prints easily and pretty quick. Little printing noise. Pictures are clear with no issues. Returned for: The thing emits a high pitch humming noise that will driving your ears in sane (constant). I called and they did say this was a defect. They said we could exchange for a new one which tells me this is not in all units. We decided to return.

Do not recommend
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being forced into a subscription that the company decides when you need us ridiculous. Additionally they only offer virtual assistance you can not get an actual agent to help. My printer has been unusable since December 26th because the ink was too low and it is January 10th and I still have not received ink. So I am unable to use the printer I purchased. And I only printed approximately 10-15 pages.

Connection issues
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bad WiFi connection. It keeps disconnecting. Almost 80% of the times I go to print, it is disconnected. It prints ok. A little slow, but good quality.

Don't buy.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is not worth the aggravation it gave me. After following the instructions for set-up it would not connect to my computer. I spent an hour on the phone with a customer service representative that I had great difficulty understanding and finally got it to work. It is still extremely slow to print anything. I will not purchase an HP printer again.

Disconnects often, no clear fixes
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer would be great if only it was available consistently. 3 out of 5 times I go to print something there is an error and nothing gets printed. I have the HP app and that does not help to solve anything. It usually takes at least 10 minutes to solve and I have no idea what the issue actually is. The solution changes each time. I either need to turn off and turn back on (often multiple times), make changes to my wifi connection, open the app and a few times, or a combination of those things. It's so freaking frustrating. I would have kept my 16 year old printer if I knew this was life with a new printer, at least I knew how to fix those issues quickly.

HP can do better
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It served its short purpose. It wasn’t an easy to understand machine… I wish the manual was clearer in all the blinking lights. The upside was the automatic ink renewal. That was easy to set up.

Price was right but it's just FAIR, some issues
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Biggest drawback is the customer support at HP. Not very helpful. Have had it for only 4 months and in that time it will suddenly start making noises out of the blue. Not sure what's going on. Have to unplug it to get it to stop, otherwise it will go on forever. It's not like a short interruption. It doesn't always print on the first try either. **If you sign up for the free HP trial for toner** be aware they only roll over so many copies if not used. First few months I didn't do a lot of printing and then found out only a portion of the # of free prints didn't rollover. Works ok with wireless, a few times it didn't. Wish there was a better display on the printer like ones in the past. Everything is through a phone app so beware of that before you buy. That said it will keep logging you out of your app. Just 'fair'.
