Great computer, horrible keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is fast, expandable and one of few you can get off-the-shelf with a 1TB SSD. Runs great and does everything I need. But, oh my, the keyboard! I never realized you could seriously mess up a keyboard this badly, First, I am a speed typist, the spacebar is nearly a full key to the right of where it should be, the keys are hard to read, and everything feels constantly "off." Second, they brilliantly took away (or hid) the ability to use the numeric keypad to navigate the cursor. Third, the keys are too small. So it's like trying to type with your fingers taped together - it's gruesome. Thankfully a solution is 25 bucks away, in the form of a third-party wireless keyboard. My advice - buy this computer and throw away the keyboard.

Excellent desktop computer for work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually don't give excellent reviews, and give good as my highest rating. This computer loads fast and it's not full of other junk that you can't get rid of on a new computer. I do not like Windows 11 but you have no choice. With that being said I would recommend this computer and it's nice that the SSD is 1 TB.

Good desktop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me, the best part of this computer is that it has a solid state drive. This makes the computer start and run so much faster than your standard hard drive. It does come with windows 11 already. Just be aware of this.

So Far I like it,Except
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So Far I like it, I like the tower a lot But I think H.P. could have installed a better graphics card, The key board is on the cheap side but not real bad & They must have spent a whole $2.00 on manufacturing the mouse, It's pretty junky, & the keyboard & mouse have a hard time connecting to the chip you put in your usb slot, & half the time your mouse pointer will not work or when You type it will add extra numbers or digits or miss some, H.P. Could have done a Lot Better using a Better Mouse & Keyboard. other than that I like it.

Gets the job done.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what it I need it to do for my business. The SSD drive is a huge time saver and the standard RAM is enough for my non-gaming needs with Windows 11, but imagine I will upgrade at some point in the future. The biggest challenge has been moving my data from my old box to this one with the documented challenges presented by Win 11. This was an upgrade from a Dell Win 10 machine that couldn't upgrade to Win 11.

Good desktop no power for Graphics card
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy with the system But no gup power for the Garhpics card I can not retrun Because I pulled the knockouts for the Graphics card whanted to run 4 monitors and not tack up space. Seems good enough for medium level AV/3D
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Open box purchase. Purchased for an adolescent who claims the computer performs exactly as he hoped it would. Its use beyond the general is for beginning/intermediate Blender, various audio software, Photoshop, Premiere, and whatever goofy games he plays.

Good computer with a few minor issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a great computer for the money. It’s definitely got speed and performance taken care of. There are only a couple of reasons why I made this a four-star rating instead of a five. The first issue is that the wireless card is only WiFi 5 instead of 6. Considering all other manufactures are providing WiFi 6 network cards. This is an area where HP is definitely behind the curve. The other reason is an issue with the sound card. HP has enabled an energy saver function on the integrated sound card that is built into the computer where if you do not touch the computer for 10 seconds the sound card will shut off. When you go to play some thing after it has gone to sleep, the first couple of seconds of the audio are clipped off. HP provides no options in any of their configurations software to disable this function. The only way I found to resolve. This was to download a piece of software that plays an audio sound that is in audible to the ear, but can be heard by the sound card and keeps it awake. Otherwise, this is a really good computer for the money especially when it goes on sale like it was when I purchased it during Labor Day weekend. Even with the few gripes I have, I can definitely recommend this computer.

Almost-perfect modern desktop computer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, it's a nice, capable mid-size desktop, especially when on sale. It will take up to two full-size expansion cards (1 - PCIe x1 and 1 - PCIe x16), but its expansion potential is limited by the smaller capability, included power supply which unfortunately can not be replaced by a standard-sized unit (that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars). After I got this computer I immediately added an internal 3.5" SATA HDD, 16GB additional memory and a 2 port, USB 3 expansion card (in the PCIe x1 slot, so that I had USB 3 ports in the back of the unit) without any issues. With my upgrades, this product is perfect for my everyday needs, and will remain so for quite some time!

Not a bad started computet
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad budget computer if you're not a gamer. The computer is fast. My issue is the low end graphics card, with an updated graphics card this would be an awesome computer.

Good Basic Work Horse Computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a fancy computer but it has all the standard requirements. It works pretty smoothly and although I have only had it a few weeks it seems to be pretty fast and works well.

HP ENVY Desktop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this computer, so far. It was an emergency replacement for a very old pc that had a noisy fan. I record audiobooks, and do not really use this computer for personal things. So I have not "explored" much. I was looking for certain specs (i7, 16GB,1TB SSD). I will say, it's so quiet! And uploading audio files to an ftp was so much faster than my cranky old computer. Fast and quiet are important, and this HP Envy desktop seems to be both. Drawback - overpriced...might be supply chain issues. I never would have spent this much if it had not been an emergency buy, while I was in the middle of a project.

Works pretty well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This seems to be working well — apparently we needed to upgrade our hardware to handle Windows 11. Getting everything transferred from our old computer at first seemed easy until I had to spend 7 hours online with Geek Squad to try and get our printer working with it and most of the time trying to get our Outlook account to work. There are still glitches with Outlook.

This is a great PC to get up and running!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works phenomenally for the price and relatively easy to upgrade the RAM (and for cheap too). The only downside is that the install of windows it comes with has a lot of programs you don't need, so I'd suggest purging a ton of the bloatware from the start so you don't have to deal with it down the road. Overall a great PC!

Very fast , adjusting to Windows 11 . Too many ads and notifications but I'm sure they'll go away eventually . All in all it does what I need .
