Great black and white laser printer. Its amazingly fast, and my documents come out with inky blacks and in great quality. Setting it up was easy, just download the HP smart app from the windows store and follow the prompts. The printer sets up over your wireless network (it does have an ethernet port in the back, but I had no need to use it, just fyi). Afterwards you can print from your PC or you can also download the HP smart app to your phone, add the printer there and you can print from your phone too. It includes one toner; however, it does come with 6 months of free toner via their HP+ subscription, afterwards you can sign up for different plans/levels so you can get your toner delivered to you automatically when its needed. It has a paper auto feeder on the bottom with see thru gray dust cover (real nice) just for printing though, it also has a flatbed scanner where you can scan/copy documents (no auto feeder on this one though, you must place each document one by one). I highly recommend this no-frills laser printer for any SOHO’s looking for good quality black prints for documents, invoices etc.

Best laser printer and scanner for the money

This laser printer by HP has it all at a very reasonable cost when comparing features to the competition. Usually I strike myself as a Brother printer bias person, I couldn't find myself leaning towards them when it came to this specific printer. Having a built in scanner is a plus and most laser printers add an extra cost for it. Not this one! Fast printing and setup using the app. Highly recommend also to get the toner subscription. I received my first toner a week after purchase so that'll last me already a years worth of printing without the fear of ink drying.

When I surveyed my printing requirements, I realized that the majority of my printing was in black and white. I was the perfect candidate for a monochrome laser printer. The HP M234dwe printer is an all in one printer, it scans, prints and copies. With a rated 30 ppm, it is relatively fast, with excellent print quality. It also supports two sided printing. The printer also does a decent job in handling graphics, producing refrigerator ready greyscale prints of my grandson. Where the printer falls short is in it's lack of a document feeder for the scanner/copier. The scanner requires manually feeding each individual sheet and with the required warm up is slow. Once warmed up, it produces decent images. It's the limited all in one capability that causes me to downgrade the rating.

This is a good printer for the money. I did have to get the HP app. I set it up within minutes to my IPAD. I had trouble connecting to my laptop so I called the support number and the representative set it up for me. It prints clear and the scanner works well. I am very happy with it.

Very Handy, it came with a scanner too. The only thing that could have been better was if the printer could scan and send it to a laptop or phone without outside control.
