Easy to set up, Superior Quality Affordable price for an all in one copier

There's nothing like the smell of a freshly printed run of paper from a laser printer! But seriously, I switched to a color ink jet printer from a competitor a few years ago because it was compact enough to fit on my custom crafted home office shelves because...priorities. Over the years I struggled with having to buy individual colors because I forgot to print big presentations in black and white. I never printed photos, and so it was rare that I actually needed anything in color. At the end of the day it was such a pain. So when the opportunity to grab this new LaserJet from HP that actually fit nicely on my shelves I grabbed it! Unboxing/Build: Nothing spectacular about the unboxing experience or the overall build quality. The only concern is that the bottom paper tray seems to get knocked off every once in a while with my current placement, though not a huge concern. Setup: As a Mac/iOS user setup couldn't have been easier. I downloaded the HP Smart software using the website in the quick start guide. From there I followed the instructions to set up wifi on my home network. Within about 3 minutes I was connected to wirelessly print from my Mac and iPhone/iPads. Print Quality: Serendipitous timing as I had quite a few medical documents that I needed to print out, a 36 page packet was printed double sided in less than 2 minutes. Speed was fantastic, print quality for text and basic images was terrific, and that smell! Amazing. Note - if you do intend to print heavy graphics with block sections just know that this is a laser printer and solid patterns will generally have visible print lines. For general use its more than acceptable. If you're planning on framing it - look elsewhere. Toner Refil: The toner came full and ready to print thousands of pages. I generally print modestly on a daily basis, but quarterly I'll print thousands of pages at once. Thus, I haven't had a chance to change the toner yet, but I checked out the HP video on YouTube for this printer and it seemed super easy to access the toner refill opening and doing a quick search for the kit HP 153X returned some really reasonable prices for how many pages that will allow you to print! Final thoughts: If you need an office printer and you are comfortable with decent quality prints at a low cost per page and want to be able to quickly and cheaply refill your ink/toner then this HP is a great fit and I would absolutely recommend.

Great laser printer. I'm amazed and the print quality, super inky blacks! Setting it up was easy using HP's Smart software and following the on screen prompts. I have setup mine on with my router on my network so I can print from all my devices (they do include a usb cable btw). They include a toner that should last for a long time. The printer accepts tons of paper on the paper tray (around 200 pages or more, I put a huge stack and it took it no problem). Coming from inkjet printers, I am amazed at how fast it prints (HP says around 23 pages per min, and it definitly shows!). The quality of the blacks is great (I you have ever been on an office an somoeone printed you a page and it looked super clear and the blacks were super inky, they probably did it on a laser printer). This printer will save you tons of money on the tonner. I was gladly surprised to see how cheap they are compared to ink tanks! HP sells then on a regular variety and also on a High yeld one (one should be for 2500 pages, the other for around 5000 pages). The software will tell you toner level, however I also like that they put a little indicator on the front that tells you where you are at your toner level, so you know when to be prepared and buy a new toner replacement. Oh, and you can save on paper, because it supports automatic duplex sided printing (you can tell it to print on both sides of the pages and it will do it automatically!). The only con is that it does not do that for scanning documents (scanning both sides, you will have to feed the paper again on the tray flipping it over manually). Regarding the other functions, like scan and copy, I love that it has tray (can fit up to 40 pages), so you don't have to open it up to scan or copy documents, you just put then in the tray and it will automatically feed itself. I highly recommend this printer for SOHO or even at home, if you don't care about printing in color and you just want fast and great quality deep blacks!

This laser printer, the 2604SDW is great! Set up took 2 seconds. You plug it in, then launch the HP Smart app on your computer (it was already installed on my computer, otherwise you have to download it first. Apparently you can do this from your phone as well, but I did it from my Windows 10 PC). Make sure your computer is connected to the same home WiFi network that you plan to use for your printer. Once you are in the HP Smart app, next find the icon and click on "add new printer." Once it finds the printer, click on the icon of it, then follow the prompts, and voilà, your new HP printer is ready to go, It honestly took longer to write this review. The 2604 says that it comes with up to a year of black toner and has a convenient display on the left side to constantly show you the toner level. I am very pleased with the sheets that are produced, great clarity and especially speed, from the time you hit print it immediately wakes and begins to produce, there is hardly any warm up time. I would say overall that the cost is comparative to other brands but that this unit may have slightly better quality in general. I am very pleased & would definitely reccomend to anyone.

This is a nice printer for home or office use. It has good quality print output and scanner also come in handy. Cuts the costs of printing on your inkjet by using it on things that don't need to be in color.

Our 25+ year old HP Laserjet stopped functioning so we purchased this new Laserjet Tank printer. Installation went smoothly and we had it up and running in 10-15 minutes. So far it's been operating great! We really like the idea of the toner tank which should eliminate the need for the bulky toner cartridge replacements. Print quality is good and the printer prints good quality so far. The scanner with automatic document feeder is a big plus and so far that has worked great as well. I also installed the HP app on my phone and was able to successfully print a document from my phone to the printer. That also went very smooth and seemed to work really well! Based on our use for about 1 week we are very pleased with this printer.

Bought this printer because it was the only one that they had that would do wide printing and everything else that they had on the shelf was out of stock or discontinued so they were basically wasting space but anyways I had a previous MF previous MFPHP laser jet printer this 1 is an HP laser jet tank which I didn't know what that was come to find out they don't even sell the ink for in the store anyways the anyways the printer is really fast it's scans really fast it friends really fast it's easy to set up I didn't know that it came with the incorriginally I was pretty upset but happy to have it now.

Easy to set up. No complaints so far at all. It is fast, smaller and quieter than my old printer.

After some initial set up, which was easy and quick, I could begin printing immediately. Setting up the Wi-Fi was quick and easy and I was able to print from my iPhone within minutes. This is a great reasonably priced black-and-white printer. So far we are very happy.

A+ for a cheaper printer in black and white it is EASY to use and has nice quality.....plus in terms of ink cost nothing is better

Setup was easy. Cool free app included. App has several templates to help with quick projects. Prints on both sides. Prints fast. Paper tray is covered preventing dust from collecting in tray. Great printer!

so far so good works great got on sale to replace inkjet printer. so i don't have to deal with dried up cartridges anymore comes loaded with toner if all you need is black and white then this printer will work awesome for you build quality seems good easy set up and easy to print from anywhere with hp smart app would definitely recommend even Beter if you can catch it on sale
