I ended up at Best Buy to buy a tablet to replace my Surface 2 that was damaged a few days prior. Needless to say, I wasn't up for spending another $300 + to get a new one considering that use of the device at home, (I only use it to remote into my media server from within my own network as well as to manage my local cloud space.) So while looking around, I was drawn to the Surface, but the cost pushed me away. I'm looking at spending $399 plus a keyboard, not an option for its purpose. So I found this HP. I looked at the specs which were very similar and the price point was roughly what I was looking for. So here are my pros and cons: Pros: - Price - Build quality - Features - Battery life ( 6 hours tested browsing and just using apps. 3 1/2 to 4 watching movies with brightness turn a bit higher) - Keyboard - Touch screen - Bang and Olufsen, (Yes, to all you audiophiles out there. This has B&O speakers) - Picture Quality - Detachable Keyboard Cons: - Pretty heavy for its size - Camera isn't the best for darker rooms - Internal space, (only 32 GB) Expandable though via micro SD - Microphones are top mounted so Cortana feature doesn't work all that well. - Magnetic base to attach keyboard is a bit too powerful. Causing me to miss the locking points on the first try. To sum it up, I've had it a few weeks now and I can honestly say that even with its weight. Its still a good performer and comparable to a Surface for half the cost. It comes with enough computing power to run many applications and still works great for movie watching and even photo editing. Its by no means a power house. The Atom processor does have its limitations, but for the daily user or even student. This is a great product at a very reasonable price. Oh, and the 4 star rating is based on the space and weight issue. Outside of that. This is a 5 star machine anyday compared to other Atom processor based devices.

As an engineering student doing database handling, the processor is powerful enough to numbercrunch while listening to music. Though not a major selling point to me, the Bang & Olufsen speakers are quality and vibrant on the tablet. What sold me was the full-usb port for a more laptop feel/functionality on a tablet that is fairly light despite its thicker body. The keyboard is smooth for touch typing, and the mousepad is large and easy for two-fingered use. The battery lasts easily 2 days worth for my light use during the weekends for email, random web-browsing and a movie at night, keeping it in stabdby mode overnight. My only complaint is that resting ones palm on the keyboard bezel presses slightly the physical mouse button in the trackpad, so you end up clicking and dragging by accident when moving the mouse. Solution: don't rest your full palm weight there.

Works great with windows 10. Recommend paying 50dollars extra and getting 64 gig model.. Speedy enough for an atom processor. Quad core. Best design for a laptop/tablet convertible.

Battery life is very good. Windows 10 runs well and I use a bluetooth mouse when needed. I have a good-sized music collection, which I loaded onto a micro-SD card and, once inserted in this tablet PC's micro-SD slot, all my music is easy to access. I also have a portable DVD RW-drive which is quite good to have with a portable PC like this. There is just one USB 3.0 PORT on the X2, so I suggest picking up a USB adapter at Best Buy that will allow use of a mouse and DVD-RW drive together. The included keyboard is small, but useful when needed. For movie fans the Pavilion X2 streams movies from the Web very well. The display is very good for a compact PC like this. Not many accessories available--cases, screen protectors, but on-line shopping will help. I am very pleased with this purchase for its usefulness and PORTABILITY. I do suggest an extended warranty.

Tablet is great for on the go person who wants to keep up with news, check email etc. Good for small jobs don't expect to use to build a website with it

My daughter loves the size and color of this computer. It is easy to use & fits easily into a backpack. It is very lightweight.

I wanted to like this computer. It is small, light, and I just needed it for working and browsing. I was impressed by the looks and for the price it didn't seem that bad. However, I have one major issue: The computer randomly restarts due to a kernel power 41 error. It lasted 15 minutes during the set up until a blue screen popped up that said, "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, then we'll restart for you. Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS OR EQUAL (kbdclass.sys)". I was confused, I just bought this computer an hour ago and an hour later it already has issues?! I gave it a chance however, when it started back up I proceed with the set-up process and it went fine. When I started to browse however, the blue screen showed up again with the same error. At this point I was very frustrated. This error showed up 4+ times within an hour of use. I just bought it that day and already I had multiple errors. I returned the computer the next day, I told bestbuy about the error and they said it may be a driver issue. I gave this computer another chance and exchanged it for the same model. When I set up the computer for a second time it went well, no errors (yet). The first thing I did was update everything on the computer. After that, I downloaded chrome and uninstalled any unnecessary apps such as snapfish, games, etc. After maybe an hour I receive the same error! I let it restart, I said "maybe this will be the only time" NOPE! 5+ restart errors showed up right away after turning it back on. I tried looking up solutions, i didn't want to hate this computer. There were no clear solutions as to what this error was. Purchased this model twice and twice this error has occurred, I will not spend any more time on it finding solutions when I just bought it. I will return it again and this time exchange it for a new model. HP if you see this please look into this issue. The only programs I installed to this computer is Chrome and Webroot.

I passed by this computer looking for something else and stopped and marveled at the design of the case. The sleek angles, the soft blizzard white surface, the compact keyboard and with my big hands i gave it a try and to my amazement, i could easily type. the size of the computer seemed it would fit on an airplane tray, the weight and size seemed easy to handle and quickly fell in love with the computer even running Windows 10... Bought one for myself and two months went back to Best Buy and bought another. When i pull it out of my bag and boot, people with large, buly laptops stop by and ask questions. hopefully HP will gain new customers from that (Hint 10% refund of my purchases during the past 6 months would be acceptable).

I love how compact the unit is , I thank it with me everywhere . I OWN A BUSINESS and it is very convenient to have a computer when I need it. The sales person that sold it to me was very up to date with computers, I thank him for his help in finding the right computer . All in all it was a great choice

Bought this for an 11 year old. It was easy to set up and enter parental controls. Picture is great sounds is really good. I really like how the key board just comes off so it can be used as a tablet. Really a great deal!

Now that technology is in the electric era even for "Elementary" school age students. Gotta keep up. Small enough to fit into a backpack, great tool for online school assignments. An excellent product that can be used by all ages. Love the detachable keyboard!

I really liked the setup of this 2 in 1 with a detachable keyboard so that you only had to work with half the weight when you needed. The downside was that you have less than half the memory that you need. When it comes time to do the major upgrades you need to take a lot of your installed applications off to make room.

I enjoy the ease of owning this item. I wasn't sure if I wanted a new laptop and started researching and looking into reviews of other options besides just a plain laptop. I found that this item and value were just what I was looking for.

It's a nice tablet with lots of features. Nice and thin not to heavy to carry around. Love the color options. Definitely a good product for any age.

I was happy to find this, just wish had spent a little more for the 64 GB model. Still getting used to using this since haven't used windows 10 before. I have a long way to go to properly review this, but so far I'm happy with it. I wanted a small laptop that used tablet format to use via WiFi tethering with my smartphone otherwise data usage would have eaten up data plan big time. This also come with Microsoft's mobile version of word & excel w/o need to ever paying for their 365 service. Other low priced tablets don't come with reg sized USB port much less a micro one & added plus is the micro HDMI port to view screen on larger monitor as well. I'll use this more after learning it's features. Being that it's not latest of greatest or have high specs that expensive tablet laptops available have, not expecting this to be as fast either.

I love how light weight it is and able to use fast for things that I need to do for school

This is exactly what we were looking for to replace an old iPad. Love the detachable keyboard and "go to tablet mode". And it has USB ports! Can plug in a mouse, etc. Runs fast. Nice screen size and good quality of the screen. Very sharp and clear. All in all, this was a great purchase.
