Great idea for a computer, but needs work.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this for my daughter to take to college with her. She is very artistic, so we thought this would be a good computer for that because you can use it like a tablet. We are two years in, and one of the lower corners of the screen has popped loose from the casing. We haven't bothered trying to fix it because we don't feel like it would be worth it to fix based on the original cost. Since then, the processor has slowed down, and the computer isn't working as well as it was before. We purchased two of these computers a year before for my husband and myself, and they ended up doing the same thing around the same time. You have to be extremely careful when closing her computer to keep from cracking the glass screen like I did on mine. These computers are a great idea, in theory, but they don't seem to hold up well to the constant use by a college student.

Good computer Art students
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it does the job. The only issue I have is the screen resolution sucks, but I will say it still shows graphics well on specific programs. The touchscreen feature is awesome and the versatility of the 360 feature was a major selling point for me.

Acceptable- but slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pc is very slow. Also having trouble integrating with iCloud, even though it downloaded the app successfully. Does have nice, clear monitor.

Wrong product delivered....totally disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had ordered this machine with touch screen, intel CPU, 8 GB 14 inch screen in silver color but instead received a much under powered Black color AMD laptop with 4 GBB RAM and with 15 inch screen and without touchscreen. Customer service refused to reimburse me or exchange or return. Its a day light robbery. Totally disppointed and don't know what to do. ..

Great Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this HP because I was attending TGPS class for transitioning from the Navy and it a helluva lot less expensive than the equivalent Microsoft surface, and don't even think about apple products. This is not a gaming computer to be sure, but if you are in need of something to send and receive emails, watch movies, look for jobs, write resumes, and general computing you cannot go wrong with this one. Add on the fact that it has touch screen controls that are as responsive as a tablet and that it can fold and just be a tablet is a major plus, combine that with it does not take up a lot of real estate on a desk makes this a great idea for any students that you are shopping for. Both of these features at this price point is amazing.

Exceeds expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs are impressive - 8gb and an 8th gen i3 processor with 500gb storage are a no brainier for this price point. The smaller screen size is perfect for my daughter as she enters college. Its very lightweight and easy to carry. We breezed through setup and uninstalled all the bloat, with ease. I'm impressed with the speed of this laptop, and was holding out for something with these specs and price point. Glad I waited as this is a brand new release from HP. The keyboard actually feels great - not cheap or clicky at all. Touchscreen is perfect and responsive and the fact it converts into a tablet is a big bonus. Only thing this doesn't have is a backlit keyboard, but that's just fine for her use. This is our 3rd Envy 360 in the family, and so far with each one we've been overly impressed and satisfied. Seriously impressed at the speed in which this thing moves along. Attributing this to the 8th Gen Intel coupled with 8gb of ram. Buy it! You'll love it.

fast and does the job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my preference was to get a touch screen laptop that has enough storage for daily tasks, taking notes, typing and regular office / powerpoint stuff. I found this very helpful. fast and reliable so far have owned it for about a month. this is still a lower-end laptop in the category of touchscreens . chromebook is too basic and ofcourse does not have the versatility of MS office.

Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased for college and completely satisfied. this is lightweight but powerful and perfect for taking to my classes. i didn't have a touch screen before this laptop and I love this touch screen. other comparable laptops were at least $400 more than this so was good buy for the price.

Great laptop for the basics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife & I both bought a identical laptop and they have both been sufficient and just what we needed! We knew exactly what we needed when we bought these laptops after doing some research. Meanwhile, the Best Buy salesman tried downplaying the processor level, he believed we needed to spend $4-$500 all together to get a “good” laptop. After explaining to the salesman all we would be using the laptops for would be the basics...Emails, photos, Microsoft, internet surfing he still persisted. We went with what we researched and bought two of these laptops and have been very pleased! My advice, do your research and know how much laptop you need. If you are needing a laptop for the basics like us, this is the one to buy!

Great quality computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop mainly for college. I like the size and weight of it which make it's easy to take anywhere. The touch screen is great for quick scrolling and screen adjustments. So far I have had no issues with it and it runs programs fast. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good laptop.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is decent. I have struggled with power issues to where I have to plug in my computer with the power plug otherwise it will not work/turn on. The mouse pad in the middle is a bit different as well when maneuvering and clicking. The touchscreen is good and it works fine with the apps and in tablet mode. Overall it’s a good laptop, I just may have received one with weak hardware when it comes to the power/battery life. When I first purchased the laptop, the battery worked well and it was long lasting.

Had to replace for an i5 laptop of same class
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This would be a 4 except that we got the laptop to be used with sound editing equipment and software so we exchanged it for the next product level of in the 360 series with an i5 processor. Another issue was that the new unit had a Solid State drive, which is quicker for booting etc. While that drive is only a quarter the size of this unit, we are not going to use the much greater space of this unit so we got the speed without being hurt by the trade-off. Overall, we got much the same product but it was much more useful for not that much more. I would recommend this laptop for those that do not need the i5 processor (most should not) and need more space than quick booting for a drive.

First laptop.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a nice size laptop for traveling. I have had trouble being able to stay on line. I am not sure if it is a wifi connection issue or the computer. Will try more wifi companies to see if it changes. I like having a keyboard instead of a tablet, and I like the ability to flip this one into a tablet. Beautiful picture on the screen. Clear and crisp.

Definitely an upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my daughter to finally replace an old Macbook she’d been using. She really does enjoy the features it has to offer! We had a slight problem when the sound unexpectedly had stopped working but after having GeekSquad fix the problem, they had told us there was a glitch in a new Windows update that affected many of their devices. Other than that, no complaints so far! Very efficient and comfortably light to carry with you on flights, trips, etc.
