Wish I could return it

About 3 weeks after purchase I checked the Best Buy Return policy and it’s too late. I’m stuck with it. It prints better than I expected. My issues are with all the errors. I don’t know if it will print each time or what error I might get. I have to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall the printer cartridge. Yes, even though there are ink takes it still uses ink cartridges the just have ink reservoirs. I also get errors about phantom paper jams and false out of paper errors. Plus one other one I can’t think of right now. If I’m having this much trouble this soon I don’t expect anything to improve and will probably get worse. But then maybe I can return under warranty. I forgot, another thing I don’t like is I can’t print 2 sided! I can if I print all on one side and then re-feed the paper in. Yes, this is by design and what HP means by 2 sided printing. I regret buy HP, I should have went with Epson or Cannon, the only reason I didn’t was because Best Buy was sold out of the other brands.

HP Printer Smart Tank wastes your time; eats paper

Try printing a 40 page document- it takes forever. The ONLY plus is ink cost is much less.

It is easy to set up the ink seems to be a good value. The problem with the printer is that it shreds the paper. It picks the paper from one side and rips it as it loads. It is worse than the $39 HP Envy that this was replacing. I have to take it back to Best Buy.

TOTAL LIE, my cc was charged the next day so I had to cancel My CC- Total scam by HP!!! I will never buy an HP product again!!!

HP Customer No-Service

From the start, the printer would intermittently stop printing with a message to remove and reinstall the print cartridge (black). After dealing with this problem for weeks, I called HP Tech support (3 times) only to have them send a replacement new cartridge. Unfortunately for me, the problem continued to occur. After additional call to HP, they agreed to send a replacement printer, but only after receiving the damaged unit at their facility in California. This left me with no printing capability for approximately 2 weeks. The replacement unit has been in use for since January 24 and the same issue has occurred.

Stay away from this printer

This will likely be my last purchase of an HP item. Printer itself is made of flimsy plastic, the paper feed is atrocious and I have spent two weeks trying to get my Mac reliably connected. Printer stops printing after 6 or 7 pages. I will be replacing it shortly.

It really only works if you use HP Smart, which takes double the time and is really obnoxious. HP is going way downhill. I also didn’t realize it can only hold 100 pages and when you load the paper it almost always jams so you really can’t walk away from the printer and you have to sit there the entire time. 1 million times slower if you’re not hooked up to the Wi-Fi direct and when you are, you can’t leave the printing page or even let your phone or computer computer screen go to inactive. If you do the entire printing will stop and you have to start all over again. Definitely, I’m not even sure why they would write that. To be hooked up to the Wi-Fi to the same Wi-Fi as the printer meaning you have to be in the same location either way. For a person who has to print 10 to 15 large permits for work daily, this is extremely disappointing. HP Smart says it’s waiting on printer confirmation throughout the entire print job and that you can’t leave that screen until you have printer confirmation. That does not happen until it’s halfway through printing the last page. So much for investing in my business

Printer is a lemon!

It keeps wanting us to replace the cartridge. REALLY, it's only 4 weeks old and having problems. I have tried to contact the local best buy store, and the HP help line. Neither are useful. The best buy company want me to pay for help and the other wants to me to get the info on the internet.

Easy Setup But Paper Jams Frequently

I understand all of the instructions re: what to do - but this started happening within 2 to 3 days. And it is very difficult to remove a paper jam. I haven't been able to remove the paper tray so there is very little access - unless you have super tiny hands and very long fingers. I would not recommend purchasing this printer. Also - check for how you will access jams etc on all similar printers before purchasing.
