Sprightly little photo printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Sprocket Studio Printer is a dedicated 4x6-inch photo printer that connects to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. The Sprocket Studio Bundle includes the printer, a plug-in power supply, a cordless power bank, and a carrying bag. Use the plug-in power adapter to charge the power bank, which will power the printer for up to 40 prints, or will charge a USB device like a phone or smart watch. The Sprocket Studio bundle also includes a starter cartridge and several sheets of 4x6-inch photo paper. The Sprocket Studio is a dye sublimation.printer, which passes the paper through four times, for the three colors C, M, and Y, and a clear coat. HP says that such dye sublimation prints should remain bright for 100 years, if stored in the dark. It took less than five minutes to download the HP Sprocket app to my iPhone, And to go through the setup steps. The printer connected quickly to my iPhone, I selected a photo from my library, and printed it. The HP Sprocket Studio software allows you print a single photo or a collage of photos. It also has a few dozen photo frames and embellishments, and you can write on or add text to your photo before printing. The power bank charged quickly to full capacity, right out of the box. We used it to charge a Garmin fitness watch. Replacement cartridges are available separately in a two-pack, along with 80 sheets of photo paper. Pros: Small, compact, easy to set up. Wireless printing via Bluetooth. Dye sublimation ink is mess-free and archival. Bright colors. Portable, and cordless, if you use the power pack. Prints 4x6-inch photos, while earlier HP printers printed very small or wallet-sized photos. Cons: Each photo takes over two minutes to print, so this is not a production photo printer. Replacement dye sublimation cartridges and paper cost nearly 50 cents per print. The Sprocket Studio prints only 4x6-inch prints. Colors were not “spot on,” but were very good. You can print only via the HP Sprocket Studio app. If you are looking for a dedicated, portable, easy-to-use photo printer, the HP Sprocket Studio bundle is a good deal, as it includes a power bank and carrying bag.

Nice Idea! Works Well, Could be better!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sprocket Studio Printer is a well thought out, small photo printer. It works really well, and I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I just couldn’t. First of all, It is a PLUS that it is Bluetooth connected. And I love that it doubles as a power pack to charge other essentials, such as your watch, phone, etc. I love the bag, I love that you can carry it with you. I love all those things, but in the end, it is a limited small printer. And I asked myself, why carry this with me? The power pack! I did print a couple of pictures and show several friends how it worked, and they too thought ti was a novel idea, but I guess what I’m saying is, I will most likely leave it at home and if I want to print a picture that really interest me, I will, but I look at the cost. Before the printer arrived I had taken the time to download the HP Sprocket app on my iPhone 7+. And it was a quick setup process to get everything on the same page, so to speak. The printer and my phone paired quickly. The app is really a nice feature. It allows you to customize your photos, such as adding text, frames, emojis, and stickers to the photos. And you can turn any picture into a master piece. Most everyone today uses a phone to record special events, and the app helps you to customize those events. BUT the time it takes to print is SLOW!!!! I didn’t officially time each print, but its a snails pace. Again, look at what you are buying, its a small printer used to print 4X6 photos, that takes time. GRANTED, the quality is exceptional. The colors are very vibrant and sharp, The bag that carries everything is well made and looks like it will hold up over time. My final thought is this: Its like a conversation piece, I have one, I like it, but in the end will I take pictures and then take the time to print them? I don’t know, I have a grandson due in May, (my first grandchild) that may be the time I put this to more use, but as it is right now, I don’t really print that many pictures anymore. Would I recommend this, NO. Not unless you have A LOT OF TIME, and plan on printing a lot of 4X6 photos.

Awesome Photo Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP Sprocket is a great personal photo printer. The whole process is simplified by using the HP Sprocket App, which instructs you on how to set up and connect through bluetooth, then shows you how to print from your phone gallery. It prints in great quality for being such a small printer, I've attached a test picture of a cherry blossom setting I printed to show you how good it was. It's a great HD quality picture and the printer really captures the quality on paper. It also comes with a portable battery pack and carry case so you can take it with you and print wherever. Lastly the whole bundle also provides you with 10sheets of blank photos and a new ink cartridge to get you started with your photo printing. Overall it's a great set for anyone that wants to print photos of family moments, scrapbooking purposes, art, or anyone that just wants great quality photos without leaving home. The only bad thing I have to say for the HP Sprocket is that a new ink cartridge is a bundle with photo paper that I've found on BB to be around $35, but that's kinda typical with any printer in my experience.

wow I love this little printer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this became one of my favorite little device I have owned, the quality of the pictures are above of what I was expecting. let’s start of with the packaging. I like the fact that it comes with portable power bank so if you would like to take this little device with you it’s possible, the trave bag is also included, haven’t tried the bag yet but i’m sure nothing special about it. the design of the printer I thought was cute, looks clean, i’m not sure the name of the color but it’s almost like light grey with a hint of blue. the power bank also comes with USB pluggin i’m not sure what it is for i’m guessing it’s about option to charge the power bank. now about the picture, I thought the picture was top notch, amazing quality, as soon as I saw it printing it put a smile on me! there’s also an app “sprocket” that you can use to print pictures from your phone that you wish to frame, not only that the app even have option to edit the photos you have. including stickers, it also have the ability to connect to your social media account for your photos that you might want to print! the setup was a lil buggy for some reason using an iphone x, when the app is searching to connect to the printer it would just be stuck on searching, the best way is to just connected manually through your phones settings. that’s all I got about this printer, great thing to have, it excited to print more family photos!

Ingenious revolutionary device for photo lovers
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, is all I can say. I never knew this even existed. Say goodbye to paying top $$$ for printer and ink. This little device is revolutionary. It prints full photo 4x6 paper in seconds with ease. No longer do I have to go out and buy expensive ink carts and fidgeting with my printer in hopes it won't jam or misprint due to hardware problems. I no longer have to go and waste my time especially in the middle of a pandemic to print my photos at Walgreens/CVS where I can do it at the comfort of my own home. The HP Sprocket app is super easy to use and highly customizable for your photos. From adjusting the colors, adding text to small little graphics brought me back to the old days of photo booths. It's quite nostalgic and fun for the whole family. HP had the ingenious idea of allowing you to print while you're away from home using an included portable battery bank. My only gripe with this is the expense of the photo papers that you need to refill. At nearly $0.44 cents per paper, it's not the cheapest but still less expensive than printing at the stores also you paying the premium to print at the comfort of your own home. It's well worth it to get this

Great for printing pics immediately
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use and pictures print nice and clear. Definitely recommend in the event that you want to take pictures and print immediately. However, due to how quickly it goes through the ink and the price of replacement ink and photo paper, it is cheaper to print at Walgreens or use Shutter Fly.

Fun, but a little pricey
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prints good photos and way more convenient than getting them developed. The kids loved watching them print. Only thing is, the ink cartridge it comes with only prints 10 photos. Plus the only replacement cartridge you can buy comes with paper. Now I have 200 extra sheets I bought to start out with and will never use them. Overall it’s fun and easy, but not a replacement to printing out a large quantity.

What Fun!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have one of the original Sprockets, but wanted something that was portable and would print photos larger than 2” x 3”. Well folks this is it! The plan is to take this Sprocket Studio on our cross-country odyssey in a (small) motorhome, take photos of everything we see, print and send the pics to folks back home to chronicle and share our trip. Bottom line: The Sprocket Studio works practically right out of the box with quick setup and bluetooth connection. Small size for easy portability and 4” x 6” prints. Photos do take a minute to produce, but who’s in a hurry anyway? Kinda freaky when the first pass comes through - looks like something went awry and the entire photo is yellow - but give it a minute and the colors and images will appear right before your eyes. I couldn’t believe the photos were water resistant, so I ran water over one of them for a few minutes (they stayed dry). The starter cartridge printed 10 photos. I haven’t tried the enhancements (frames, special effects) on the Studio (but they worked great on the Sprocket), so I’m sure I’ll be using that feature quite a bit. Also, at about $35 for 80 photos (44 cents each) you won’t go broke commemorating special occasions. So, if you want to have some fun with photos on the fly, get one and enjoy!
