I bought this to record a phone interview on my iPhone, but also I use it for what it is made for - hooking a guitar to my iPad or iPhone.
works great, very simple. although, if I knew the "HD" version was out a week earlier I would have waited to buy this.

Got this for my friend's son for Christmas. We had trouble getting it to work with his iPhone 4,but thinking there are issues with the iPhone 4.It worked great with my iPad Air2 and iPhone5.This device opens a lot of possibilities(and makes practice a little quieter for everyone else).

Compact, portable, easy to use. The cord could be a bit longer, but other than that this product is great! Unlike, my working guitarist friends, I don't require all the various tones and effects provided in the free app as a working bassist. I can grab a bass and some earbuds, then plug in to my iPhone or iTouch and learn material anytime, anywhere...and without needing to set up my stage amps and a speaker. LOVE this thing!!!

I've boughten at least 3 of these. They are great for on-the-go ideas. If you want to lay down a few tracks on your device, just pull out the iRig. My only complaint is that it's so pricey for such a cheap piece of plastic. Given the materials, I could easily recreate this device at a fraction of the price. I'm not sure why they have no competition here. But it's a convenient little product

I purchased this to use as an interface to record sermons from church on my phone. I rout the speaker to an aux send and use a 1/4 T/S cable to plug into the iRig. When it's plugged in to the iPhone voice memos automatically uses the input as the mic so it works like a charm. Oh yeah...it also has exceptional guitar tone and is great for practicing and jamming with the headphones. I highly recommend this item.

Over all this is a great way to rock out to great headphone contained guitar sounds without annoying your neighbors. The capabilities to tune, practice with the metronome/ drum simulated time signatures is a great practice tool as well as the ability to record and capture new ideas before they are lost in "What the heck did I just play?"

Got this a few weeks ago and I am impressed so far! This is a nice tool for any guitar player that would like to have a more convenient way to practice and get creative. The trainer module is particularly nice, you can import a song you want to learn and play along with it. You can slow it down or speed it up so you can really pick out the notes and learn it right. In addition, you can select a segment of a song and loop it over and over again so you can just work on a specific part like a solo. I found that very handy. I know there is a lot more you can do, like use it to play tracks into a DAW for your iPad, or garage band. I haven't toyed with all that yet, but for the bucks, it has a lot of cool functionality! Highly recommended from this guitar player!

It's extremely handy for practicing. Nice and small so it travels anywhere.
The only thing is the noise mentioned depending on the amp settings. Haven't used it live but may once I get it working noise free. Little pricey seeing as its all plastic but I guess not outrageous.

from Amazon, :The new iRig interface adapter is the easiest way to get your instrument’s signal into iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. Simply plug iRig into your mobile device, plug your instrument into the iRig, plug headphones or amplifier to the output and you are ready to rock! The iRig is the ideal companion not only to the mobile AmpliTube app, but also works with any other recording, processing or tuning app, including the new Garage band for iPad 2. Plus, you can also use the iRig with line level signal sources such as synthesizers, keyboards or mixers."

I am very happy with this product. It is not difficult to connect everything and start using it. The only disapointment is regarding the volume control. I am using the maximum volume but it is still very low for an electric guitar. I am planning to invest more $$ and buy some accessories to expand the capacity.

It works great withe iphone and ipad. A great way to make your iphone and a speaker/headphone act as an amp with the free app. The challenge is that the free amp is very limited. One has to upgrade to the better app to get the benefits of the gear.

Purchased as a gift for my son and he loves it. Loves to play his guitar while traveling and loves his iPhone, this seemed like a perfect match. It's easy to use and sounds good given the quality of the iPhone speaker. Very fun little gadget.

I bought this just for fun. Wanted to be able to hear my awesome '66 Fender Telly without disturbing the roomies. I plug this into my iPad and put on my Bose headphones using the free AmpliTude apps and it sounds awesome.

Works well with most of the iOS recording software? Primarily I use this with GarageBand. Not any noticeable lag. For audio out, I use a solid state amp or some over the ear headphones. Haven't had any issues.

It has enabled me to mix my music and put it onto garage band on my Ipad! Which bis priceless to me! And the guitar sounds that come with the Irig are perfect! I purchased the hendrix add on and it sounds amazing! So for the money the irig cant be beat! Jimbo

The iRig its self works great, but sometimes amplitube (the program you have to download) is very confusing, and doesnt always work.
