I love these microwaves. I have used one for many years. Unfortunately, the heating element burned out, so I had to get a new one. I am glad that Best Buy still carries these retro-looking ones. It looks great with my antique decor. I do not believe this one is as powerful as my previous one but it is easy to operate, heats my food in a reasonable amount of time, looks great, and matches my kitchen, so I am very pleased with all its aspects. My only negative is the cherry red. Not much to be unhappy about in the scheme of things!

I’m a tractor operator, my cabinets are small, but this just happened to fit if I dismantled the tv mount, I did the work, and I’m content…We are limited to what we can utilize, although this was lower power, I see minimal difference, maybe 30-90 seconds more cooking time, but in my line this is PURE convenience and I give good ratings….When you are forced to be patient and utilize what will work, an hour of your install time to get a microwave more powerful by 50-100 watts and a price that’s less than 1/5 of a custom microwave for truckers for a good one It’s a heck of a bang for the buck…my lack of one star is for one reason, when powering on, it dips down then up….my inverter is about 3000 watts so it runs it with no problem, therefore it’s something of a starting mechanism in the power supply, but once it dips back up at start, it’s consistent No issues yet

Small but efficient. Not as powerful as the full size units but works fine. Great for a bedroom or dorm. Nice color. Completely satisfied with this purchase.

Good microwave for small space. It's small & a bit underpowered to heat food. Also it's not well ventilated so the inside gets really hot & steams up when heating for longer time period. I leave the door open after using to air out when it does that.

We have a similar retro mini-refrigerator so this little microwave was the perfect compliment. It's not super powerful, but doesn't need to be for occasional heating of food and drink in an office space. For home, I would definitely need something more powerful. I wasn't sure I would like the color, but I think it looks better in person than in the photos.

Perfect microwave for a smaller sized kitchen. The design is cleverly done considering there is no touch button controls. The power leaves a little bit to be desired but still an effective model.

This is the little microwave that could. We bought it to use while our kitchen was out of commission and it is up to the task. And it looks good while doing it. Its not a super powerful microwave, so we've had to increase cook time on a few things.

Compact microwave perfect for a smaller kitchen space. Love the color! Takes a little while to get used to the retro style dials and buttons on it. Not very strong as far as power so you’ll have to heat food up for longer.

We bought this to go along with the Retro Mini-Fridge. Perfect fit up on top. It is not the most powerful microwave, but it is only going to be used in the classroom to warm up food during lunch, so there should be no issues.

Little smaller than we thought but it works great! Not quite as powerful than our last one but it still gets the job done!! Love the color!! Fits right in the space we made perfectly!!!

Cool Design and practical use. A bit different to operate but not difficult to figure out. Happy with this moderate power microwave oven.

Red microwave looks great next to the matching red mini fridge. Not too powerful, but perfect for the room I bought it for. I love it!

This is adorably cute and works well. Just beware it's fairly small and not as strong as others, so some things take a bit longer to heat up. Also, it wasn't super intuitive for me. I do like the coded in settings. That works really well.

Our old counter top stopped working so we needed a replacement, my wife found the Insignia on sale and available at our local BB. At first everything went well, not as strong as our previous microwave, but I knew that prior to purchase. One morning the microwave was showing 5 seconds on the screen, so I cleared it and walked off. A few minutes later the 5 seconds was right back on so I just hit the run button to clear out the time. As soon as I hit the button, sparks started popping from the back right corner (there is a vent or something there). There was NOTHING in the microwave, no old food, no foil, nothing. I tried it again and same thing, sparks popping and smoke. I called BB and they said it was too late to return (I had it for a month) but I could bring it in and they would repair it or exchange it. I did not want the same microwave so we just bought a different brand. I have video but there is no place to post. Beware when using.

Cute microwave but controls are not simple to use. Low power but only using this to reheat leftovers. Works for my needs

Great little microwave; although not very powerful

Does not work. At first the electrical connection didn't work; had to wiggle the cord / microwave connection to get it to start. Then, at max power (p-10), it does not boil water after 6 minutes. The coffee mug did not even feel warm. It took 8 minutes to heat a frozen burrito that still had small sections of coldness.

Great little microwave! A bit of a learning curve to figure out the dials but once you get it down, it's super easy to use. A lot of reviews also say it's low power, which I was afraid of. However, I don't see a noticeable difference between this and my much larger over-range microwave from my last apartment. It still takes about 1:30 to heat up a cup of water for tea. And some things it cooks much much more quickly than expected. Perfect size to fit a dinner plate and anything else you might need to heat up. And the color/style is a huge plus!

This certainly wouldn’t be a heavily used microwave. It doesn’t have the size or power of a regular family sized microwave. Its not super intuitive to turn it on (im used to it now, but when others try they struggle). It wouldnt be great for the kitchen but it is awesome in my office since its small and matches my decor. It is best for reheating coffee and warming (not cooking) packed lunches/leftovers. If you’re looking for your kitchen and/or family use microwave, keep looking…but if you need something small for an office or trailer, this is perfect.
