IT'S A TURN OFF!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is fine -- the size is good and the picture in good BUT it keeps turning itself off. Over and Over and Over. I've checked tons of resources online and changed all the settings to the longest amount of time but if I have to go to the bathroom and I'm not back pretty darn quick the screen is blank when I get back. And, when I turn it back on I have to find what I was watching and fast forward to the point I left -- it doesn't remember ANYTHING. This is a real problem.

Bad Fire TV interface compare to Roku
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv so I could could use with Alexa. Getting it to connect to the internet was easy but I could not get it to connect to my media server. Was not impressed with the fire tv interface, had to download more apps to try and connect to my media server. I have Roku devices and I have not had any issues connecting to my media server. I also don't like the way it only shows about 6 apps on the main screen. The picture was good...taking it back today

Poor Picture Quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this HDTV and then I had to return it the very next day. I used it as my computer monitor and I noticed right away that the picture quality was poor for a 720p resolution. It looked pixelated and grainy, and the colors looked weird. I tried to make adjustments in the settings, but to no avail. My previous HDTV that I used as a computer monitor was an Insignia 19 inch 720p that I had for 7 years and the picture quality on that TV was excellent. It served me well. I also still have an Insignia 32 inch 1080p that I have had for about 10 years and the picture quality on this one is excellent. So I was surprised when I bought this Insignia 24 inch 720p and the picture quality was disappointing. The sound quality was not good either. The sound is filled with what sounds like a lot of static white noise. I guess they don't make these TVs like they used to anymore. I returned the Insignia for a Vizio 24" 1080p and I am not at all disappointed. I am very pleased with the Vizio. The picture quality and colors excellent, so much cleaner, sharp and crisp. No pixelated grainy images at all. And the sound quality is better, too. So much cleaner. I'm so glad I returned the Insignia for the Vizio. It's more expensive, but it's so much better. You get what you pay for. I'll never buy an Insignia TV ever again.

Problems with receiving Hulu!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beware: If you want to receive Hulu on this FireTv you will find many of the channels will only have audio, but no video. Amazon did an update on the system on or around November 11, 2012, since then Hulu had the above described problem. I also have two 24" Class F20 Insignia FireTv's, and they both suffer from the same problem. I have spent some amount of time on the phone with Insignia support/Amazon and the Insignia Amazon specialist. They admit to the update, and say they are working on it, but so far the problem exists. Sadly, both TV’s are beyond the return limit, by a very short period!. Do not get a FireTV, get a dumb TV and a FireStick you'll be happy. Other than that the TV works great, outstanding picture and performance. But, no Hulu!!!

Not great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy setup and user friendly. Sound is good but will be returning as amazon prime will not load correctly while all other apps are working. Have discovered this is not a problem with internet or prime itself as other television set runs amazon fine when played simultaneously.

Don't bother buying this one.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Second star is only for the good quality of the HD picture on screen. Whose idea was it to omit number keys on the remote? In order to select a channel, one must cycle through panels on the screen until the desired broadcast letters show up.

Insignia Smart Fire TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product gets two stars because it is not the typical t.v. Perhaps it was my error, I purchased a Smart Fire TV The remote control is the biggest problem / reason for the two stars; it doesn't have numbers. In order to select what I'm going to watch, I press the one round button and scroll up and down. Yes, that's right if I'm watching regular t.v. and I'm on ch 2 and want to watch ch 7, I have to to scroll up, go through numerous channels to get to ch 7. This t.v. was purchased for an older senior. My father is not going to have any easy time with the remote. I need to buy him another t.v.

Loved it but some issues with over air tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved my insignia fire tv with the free Alexa echo dot. Purchased a month ago and was happy but recently it cuts off my over air tv and switches back to internet fire tv. Does this about 5 minutes into an over air show regardless of what channel I am on. Not sure if it is the tv or antenna connection as nothing gets hot or out of ordinary. Tv reception is perfectly clear then suddenly switches off air to home screen of tv. No solution that I can find online. Also the plastic stand screw in of one side won't go in tight enough to properly balance the tv but I've lived with a screw loose for a long time. ;p Annoyed now that I can't return as it's a week past returns at best buy but only at 32 days now.

Good for the price as a secondary tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This smart tv is very affordable, the right price for a 3rd tv meant for the office. But compared to our more expensive brand in the living room, it is very frustrating to use. I am constantly needing to figure out why it lost connectivity and how to get it back, sometimes having to reboot, other times just giving up and resolving to have to try again later. The user interface is also awkward and requires more steps than our other tv to get to programming, For an occasional use tv, it’s fine, but if this was our primary tv I would not put up with the frustration of clunky navigation and questionable connectivity.

Look Elsewhere
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My advice is to look into purchasing a different TV. There’s something wrong with the remotes. It’s very difficult to increase/decrease the volume, and every time you shut the TV off it turns back on. This is definitely an issue with this TV in general because I have two and have issues with both. I thought it was a one off and couldn’t return because it was after the return period. Second one was purchased right before a vacation and didn’t have time to return it. Terrible TV.

Very Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a lot of hope for this product, but have been extremely disappointed with it. The picture and sound quality are what I'd expect from a small 720P TV. However, that's about all the good I can say for this product. This TV will not stay connected to the WiFi and drops the connection constantly (in multiple apps -- not just one or two). Sometimes it drops after a minute or two, and sometimes it drops after a couple of hours or anywhere in-between (my other TV connected to the same router does not do this so it's not an internet issue). Further, when it drops the connection it doesn't try to reconnect, you have to manually go into the WiFi connections and connect to a different source then connect again to your chosen source before it will restore the WiFi connection. The OTA service is pathetic. I have an antenna that I used on a different TV in exactly the same location where I received over 70 channels. This TV finds zero channels with the same antenna and location setup. The only source that is really usable on this unit is the cable (for which I have a set-top box). The built-in Alexa is a nice feature, but it doesn't control much inside the apps. My Echo can do everything the built-in Alexa does making the built-in feature of little use for me. I can't return this one, but I replaced this TV with a different kind of smart TV. Until Amazon can improve the OS and the interoperability problems, I would not buy another and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

not user friendly or kitchen friendly
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every time you put the TV on and have attached to a cable its default is a screen that you must use the tv remote. It doesn't completely pare up with Optimum remote control, This is my third INSIGNIA tv and never had a problem and had always recommended them. It also didn't recommend HDMI or HDM2 you must use TV remote and search. The legs are so wide that it doesn't sit well on kitchen counter either. I have to tape it down and doesn't flush as well to the wall as did the single stand.

Regarding your comment about the TV turning on at the main menu screen, you can change that to turn on to the last used input. You can find that setting in the Home screen menu: Navigate to Settings > System > Power > Power on and then select "Last used TV input".

Just ok.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s ok. Decent picture and sound. It’s a good size for a bedroom. You can get HBO max on it but sometimes it won’t connect to internet and it freezes. It also freezes on Netflix and other apps - the picture stops but the sound keeps going. I often have to unplug it to restart it. If I keep having issues I am going to either try to return or contact the manufacturer. Works fine with DVD player otherwise. Probably wouldn’t buy the same one again.

TV is great, Remote sucks - literally!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is EVERYTHING I wanted, but the remote sucks! Unfortunately, I have changed the batteries in the remote 4 times and I have only had the TV 45 days! The batteries that came with the remote only lasted a week! New batteries last an average of two weeks and it has nothing to do with use of the TV - something is causing a serious drain on the batteries. This is proving to be an expensive problem which is why I gave it 2 stars. I can't return the TV, so I am in the process of working with customer service on a solution. The initial suggested fix, which was a hard reset, didn't work. Maybe I just got a bad apple and it is not a widespread problem? Maybe a simple remote replacement would suffice? Hopefully this can be resolved because what good is a TV if the remote doesn't work.

Poltergeist TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very inexpensive TV, but this one is clearly you get what you paid for! The remote continues to drain the batteries. The TV has a poltergeist function where it just powers on all on its own. If you shut it off via remote, it just comes back on again. The only way we can ensure the TV stays off is to unplug it. But the boot up process is so long it takes 5 minutes before it finds wireless and everything before you can start watching TV. Good thing is it's in the kitchen so it's not used that often
