Works good for me
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good pic and easy to use, mostly. No place could I find how to rescan local channels. I was travelling out of state and local channels were useless, of course. I looked at and read everything i could find on bestbuy, youtube and amazon with no luck. I took it the the out of state bestbuy to return or find answer to my problem. It was easily solved, but i didn't find the solution in any info. The gear on the right side of home screen must be used, it isn't used as i expected with the gear on the cheesy remote, that doesn't do anything helpful in this situation. To highlight gear, get cursor alk tbe way to right and it will highlight. Scroll down to Live and rescan there. Pretty easy, but didn't make sense to me that the gear on remote didn't do anything to help rescan. Not seeing the remote when buying didn't help I guess, I should have asked to see one.

Does the job, Amazon Fire television
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fire television, and I do not have internet access, so I believe it would be a whole lot more useful for me if I did. It's the right size exactly and it gets very bright so it makes up for the lack of a window that has access to the outside. It's a bit disconcerting that it doesn't go back directly to the Channel I was on, and I wish that it had a way to look at both the favorite channels and the non favorite channels without making them favorites, a problem that would be a non problem if I had the internet I believe. But it was easy to set up, does the job, and the only thing weird is that my heater control also will turn it on. The fact that the right television for the job happened to be the most inexpensive and also happened to have Amazon for when I can move, that was just gravy. But tasty gravy! And as you can see in the picture, it exactly fit the space it needed to go. Picture quality is as sharp as it gets without high definition. The sound, considering that I haven't plugged speakers in, and the speakers are pointing the wrong direction because that's the only place they can go in a small television, I get a little more background sound than front ground sound which is very common, and might be the cause of the programs instead. And I'm free to get speakers whenever I like to improve the situation. Considering the cost, I could afford to get speakers if I had space for it. So far, I am enjoying having television again for the first time in almost two years. It does the job.

Not perfect, but certainly a bargain
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, it's a decent TV. Has plenty of options for viewing, both free and paid. Decent picture and sound for the price. Nice size for a bedroom or home office. All the basic inputs and outputs you can expect with modern TV. You likely won't find a better TV available, for this price range. If I had a gripe, it's that the TV is a tad bit on the slow side. Not surprising--you're not getting the top-of-the-line processor. Turning on the TV takes about 2-3 seconds to through the opening screen. If you change the channel or switch between apps, a delay can range from 1 to 3 seconds. Can be a bit annoying, especially if you're like me and you switch between channels a lot while watching live sports. It's not the end of the world and not a deal-breaker--I wasn't expecting perfection. But it's a mild caveat worth mentioning.

Great TV for a small area
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this little gem can’t be beat. I wanted a small SMART TV for my patio. I like to sit at my little table on the patio, play on my iPad and watch TV. Works very well.. if the feed is HD, the picture is clear and sharp as a tack. Speakers leave a bit to be desired. They’re located on the bottom.. WHY do they keep doing that? I do not sit under my TV to watch it.. HELLO? I found a small little sound bar and that makes my set up perfect. All in all, Insignia TV’s are hard to beat for the price… my home has one in every room!

Tv serves its purpose.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a small tv with HDMI port for my home surveillance system. So this TV was basically the only one Best buy had at time. It works for its purpose but it is annoying to switch between inputs. Its not user friendly in that area. It has a small Amazon Firestick kind of remote. Im sure if I used it on a regular basis I would get used to it. But I like to old fashioned remote control with numbers to change a channel. Which this didn't have.

Tuner issues?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice TV, and I love the Fire TV incorporated in it, but I've been having an issue with the OTA Tuner...When the TV is first turned on and set to OTA Broadcast TV, the screen freezes and pixelates for 5-10 minutes, after which it's stable. Thinking it might be low signal, I've tried 2 different amplifiers, and with each, the TV would find 0 channels (without the amp, the TV finds >100 channels!). So, thinking that the issue might be too much signal, I purchased some signal attenuators in 3,6, and 10 dB, but none of them (nor any combination) resulted in a stable TV signal. I think I'll end up taking it back to Geek Squad to check it out while it's still under warranty.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good little tv. Works good right out of the box and the sound isn’t that bad. Great value for the price. Built in Alex is also a plus. I installed it on my boat.

Pretty Good for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is a pretty good TV. My only concern is the small amount of storage (4Gb), but hopefully that won’t be much of an issue as that’s expected given the price. The sound is fine and if anything—it’s actually good. If the sound isn’t good enough for you, you can easily invest in a decent bluetooth speaker from Walmart which can pair with the TV.

5 Stars for Insignia, ZERO stars for BEST BUY!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model of TV is great, however Best Buy needs to do a much better job at being consistent with their open box items. This is my second “open box excellent” 24” Insignia. The first truly was open box excellent (packed well, very clean, plastic wrap still on much of the tv and remote). THIS ONE definitely DID NOT deserve an open box excellent rating. As soon as I opened the box it smelled like cigarette smoke, much of the screen was covered in greasy fingerprints and there are what appear to be crumbs all along the bottom trim of the screen. Hard to capture issues in pics but i will definitely NOT TRUST Best Buy’s open box ratings in the future!! BUYERS BEWARE BEST BUY OPEN BOX EXCELLENT RATING!

Nice little TV

Garage tv
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little TV, for the cost and what I needed it’s hard to beat. I use it as a garage TV and my only complaints are the sound does not carry well so I added speakers to it, and that after a few months of use it did slow down a bit and sometimes apps crash. I’ve reset it and cleared the cache and that helps but still an issue I wish I didn’t have to deal with. But overall it works for me

Nice TV for the price, pleasantly surprised.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before buying this I read the reviews and thought "I think I can live with those drawbacks for the price". After using it for a month I still support that notion. I bought this for a spare bedroom while visiting someone but will use it for my patio. It's light and easy to bring outside to watch a game and small enough to store afterwards. PROs: great picture and good sound for the size; Smart with FireTV isn't bad (not as good as Android but ;better than Roku); 3 HDMI inputs; light. CONs: Remote button lag (not as bad as I read though); depth (far from slim); lower functionality/options but then again...price.

Everything is awesome except for ONE THING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just recently purchased this Insignia TV. It's new to me but from everything I've seen, I like it. Very reasonably priced. Features galore with things to watch and the FireTV built in is probably just as good, if not better in some people's opinions, than chrome cast on VIZIO! Yet there is one absolutely UNACCEPTABLE thing about this device. Attaching the LEGS so that it can STAND on a table!!! Never in my LIFE has it been an undue hardship to perform something so simple and silly! I have screwdrivers, rachets sets, and even magnetic ones. Yet good luck getting the tiny little screw into the the base of the legs with your fingers so that it falls into the hole you're supposed to fasten it in with! I had to spend hours chasing all over town in attempt to buy a magnetic screwdriver. I took it back to the shop and had to be humiliated, wasting time at the desperate mercy of a Geek Squad guy to attach the legs on the thing for me! Normally, I would give this device excellent recommendations. But I think EVERYBODY needs to be forewarned about this !

Compact, clear with good sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect size for my kitchen/dining area. It is lightweight and easy to place on a small table or tv stand. The clarity and sound are good and it isn't difficult to program as long as one follows the directions precisely. I do feel like the legs could be a little more sturdy, but in my case, they are just fine.
