I’ve had mine for over 2 years and it runs perfectly. The gasket is very good quality and seals the lid very well. I’ve manually defrost it once a year and there’s hardly a centimeter of ice build up. That’s great considering my old freezer would build inches of ice to quick. Compressor is very quiet I don’t hear any noises or feel any vibrations. Overall 5.0 cuft is a good size for my 2 person household. Insignia is a Great brand I remember buying my first TV (insignia) and it lasted 10 years until I accidentally broke it. I have a feeling this freezer will last as long if not longer.

We were looking for a small freezer that would be able to put in our kitchen alongside our refrigerator so far this has been one of the best purchases I have made in a very long time I have room in my Refrigerated now I’m able to put ice cream and other small items in my refrigerator the large items like my crab legs, steaks, hamburger Goes right in the freezer it fits very well in my kitchen the only thing I wish that it would have came in stainless so it can match the rest of my appliances in my kitchen. I Have recommended this to my friend she also brought one same time that I did and she also is in love with it

Amazing freezer for the value it's priced at. While other reviews have said there are damages, they probably received an open box. I had a sealed/unopened freezer and it came perfect with no dents or nicks at all. Functions perfectly after a couple of months. Definitely invest in this if you want a separate freezer for more storage!

In light of preparing for the current COVID-19 outbreak , we picked up this unit to store the few extra items that wouldn’t fit in our regular fridge. The unit is small , quite and fits well in a small designated area of our home. Lots of space and can fit much more than we anticipated, for a typical size American home it was well worth the purchase price, invest the $50 USD / 3 year extended warranty plan offered and a food saver vacuum sealer system. It will both preserve the quality of your food and extend the amount of time you can store your purchases. Hope this review helps other families in our communities and nation.

I ordered this about four days ago and it's already OOO. Showed up at the store a day early and I had selected "Curbside Delivery". Clicked a couple of buttons and it was wheeled out to my truck within five minutes of arrival. They loaded it up for me and I didn't have to lift a finger. The freezer itself is small and that's exactly what I wanted. I had a small place to shoehorn this thing into my garage and it fit great. From the time I picked it up, drove home, unboxed it, plugged it to the time it satisfied at the near maximum cooling setting was about 57 minutes. It cools great and is super quiet. I mean like you can barely hear it running. I like the LED light on the lid which makes it much easier to see inside. I'm sure right now many of us are buying this due to COVID-19 to provide a bit more long term storage without the risk of auto-defrost / freezer burn. I've been wanting a small freezer for a few years and this was the final reason I needed to pick one up. Very pleased with the BestBuy experience and the freezer thus far.

I have been looking for a chest freezer & wasn't able to find anything in stock. Then I came across the Insignia chest freezer. It holds a lot of food; I use it mostly for overflow. Since COVID, I started really cooking like crazy & needed another freezer badly. I was really impressed with the Insignia; the price was very fair compared to other brands & it is well made and even has a light inside. I put it in the kitchen because it is way HOT in garage (las vegas). The freezer is very quiet, has outside thermostat control & light so you know it's on. I would recommend this freezer.

First time for a separate freezer, and had a hard time finding one. Sold out everywhere. The 3.5 cu.ft. model probably would have been ok for the 2 of us, but for $40 more we get more storage AND a light inside. In these times we wanted to have more things stored. Got lucky while on Best Buy site and this one popped up. Snagged it before sold out again. Picked it up (undamaged) and put in the house by ourselves (not very heavy). Let it rest for a couple of hours before plugging it in. Plugged in, turned it on, and set dial a little past 1/2 way. Went to 0 degrees F in about an hour. It runs very quiet. The basket is great and we use vacuum sealer bags for some things to extend storage life and avoid freezer burn. It is manual defrost. Auto defrost freezers cost hundreds more. The price for this size freezer is way less than others, and most don’t have a light. We also purchased the Geek Squad 3 year additional coverage. Wanted the replacement and $300 food loss coverage just in case it fails. So far, couldn’t be happier. Just hope it will last. Btw, 0 degrees F or below is best freezer temp (FDA). If your freezer can’t do that even at Max, then something is wrong.

Perfect size freezer for my family of 5, we store milk, butter, vegetables, meat, bacon, chicken, sausage, cheese, bread, salmon, shrimp; we still have room for more. Overall good freezer and the light inside makes it convenient too see. This Freezer came in good use during these difficult times of conv-19. The only thing is that you need a temperature gauge, other than that everything is perfect for my needs.

I am soooooo happy I decided to purchase this freezer. The entire experience from ordering to pickup was amazing. This was also the best price freezer on the market. If you are thinking rather or not to purchase , DO NOT HESITATE! The freezer is nice especially because it has a light on the inside to help you find what you are looking for. It is likely helpful for those who want to place this in a dark area. Also, it is the perfect size and can fit lots of food. Because my freezer is in a common area, I purchased some contact paper to give it a little bit more life.

This deep freezer is definitely a MUST have!! I live in a apartment so space is limited. I wanted something that wasn't to bulky or hard to set up but still durable. This hasn't disappointed my expectations at all. I haven't had it long but for the price which included the warranty (bought during a sale) which WAS A MAJOR STEAL!! I'm more than satisfied!! This just goes to show that not all unknown brands are bad or dont care about QUALITY!! INSIGNIA (best buy brand) is truly not a brand to OVERLOOK. I currently own a TV by the same brand and that too has been a great experience!! So if your not a everything must be name brand kinda person than you found yourself a great little deep freezer for a decent price.

I purchased a 5.0 Insigna chest type deep freezer, I was skeptical when I first got it because I was not familiar with this brand, but when I got it home and saw how easy it was to set up I was very impressed.I live in an apartment and there's not a lot of spare space but this freezer fits perfectly beside my China cabinet and it looks great too. The price is also great I saved $150.00 on this freezer compared to another brand that I was looking at,same size and color looked the same the only difference was the name.So as you can see I am loving this freezer twice as much as any other. I have had it since 5/22/2020 and have not had any problem It is truly a great little freezer.

So far it's great. Moved to a place with a top freezer fridge that was just too small for the two of us. Instead of always being frustrated, I bought this. Perfect size and glad to have it. The light was the selling point. You def want one with a light!

The Insignia 5.0 cu ft chest freezer is a perfect size for the 2 of us. I wasn't sure about not getting a national brand but this one was much cheaper and had plenty of good reviews. We used curbside pickup, brought it home and plugged it in. It was cool enough for food in just a few hours. I was very pleased with the perfect condition - no scratches or dents. We have used it about a month and it works great. We put a small digital thermometer inside to monitor the temp and it stays constant within a degree. It is just a perfect size because the freezer part of our refrigerator just wasn't quite big enough. It runs so quietly you can hardly hear it. I would recommend this freezer.

It works great, i just wish i had noticed it wasn’t self defrost….Outside of that is holds a lot and is a good size for inside. Has a light inside as shown . I would recommend !

This is a great small freezer, perfect for our needs. We love the light in the freezer door. After looking at a number of other freezers and doing price comparisons we chose this Insignia unit and I'm glad we did.

Just got it delivered today. Had them just pop open the unit for damages. It was flawless. Cleaned it and turned it on. Took 2 hrs to freeze items. Nice light inside and it's larger than I thought it would be. So far so good on day one. Worth $189.

This freezer is compact but with a lot of space for a great price.

Great freezer for small places. Perfect for my basement. And it’s light in weight. The size can fit about 5 turkeys. But of course, I use the freezer for storing away large quantities of Costco meats. Plug it in and turn it on.
