The system has good tonal sound and distortion is minimal as volume increases. System is easy to use, however, the iPod mount is a little chintzy. But overall, very glad I purchased this unit.

Sound is decent. Bought this for the beach so I could plug my old iPhone 4 into it and listen to my own Playlist. (There are adapters you can buy for iPhone 5, 6, and 7.) The price was right, so I figured if a little sand got into it, it wouldn’t really be all that big a deal…

Purchased this just so I could plug in my old school ipod nano. The sound is much better than I anticipated. It is very easy to program my choice of radio stations as well. This is an excellant value for the price I paid.

Overall I'd review this as perfect 5/5, I dropped it to a 4/5 only because my iPod started to get hot while it was connected to the boombox and the iPod was 3/4ths charged and played perfectly fine while connected to the boombox. Maybe it's just because my iPod is over 6 yrs old, I really couldn't say, just wanted to forewarn others that they may want to watch their i-whatevers they connect to this boombox for a "heated up" i-whatever you have. Hopefully it's just my old iPod, even tho it worked fine without overheating on the last boombox that this current one replaced. Other than that part - def totes happy!

I use this player for playing CDs when I teach line dancing. Volume is great for classes in a cafeteria. What I don't like is I can't go from one song to another without stopping the CD and selecting the next song. This becomes very time consuming.

I wanted an easy to operate CD player and this is perfect for my needs. The sound is good although it may be a little low for some people, but it's perfect for me as I don't like blaring music and I keep it in the 17 range (max is 20). The portability is a great asset and it's a great size - not too large and not too small. I took a chance and purchased it through the Open Box option and it looked as though it had never been out of the box so the price was extremely reasonable. I'm very happy with my purchase.

We purchased this item from Best Buy for my wife's dance class so she could use her iTunes playlists for music. The boombox has performed well, although I would caution to use an aux cable when possible, as the docking station isn't the most sturdy at times. Overall, very happy with this purchase for the amount of money spent.

This boom box isn't very large, so there isn't much "boom" here. My wife wanted something smaller than the old Sony Xplod boom box. The bigger Sony was too much to lug around for her and it was a battery hog. This Insignia unit is much more portable, uses cheaper batteries and fewer of them, so the cost to operate it extensively away from an outlet is much better. Nothing fancy here, but it does what we need it to do. Build quality seems decent enough and the cost wasn't bad.

This boombox is pretty good for the price. The sound quality is excellent, the size is acceptable and the features meet most of my needs. However, it is very hard to attach my IPad2 to the mounting device. It take several tries and I have to nearly turn the boombox upside down (not a very practical design). Also, it doesn't have a remote control like my old Sony one did. Also, no cassette player. It was not possible to find a boombox in my price range that had all of these features so I went with this one. It's ok but I feel that the IPad attachment issue is certainly a drawback.

I wish it could have have the changeable base for the iPod and iPhone where u can change the iPod base. I hope this makes sense, I don't know what is called, but overall it a nice old fashion product . You can only use the iPod for the 4th generation of iPod

Does exactly what he wanted, charge and play at the same time. Sound quality is good but it's not going to match higher dollar units, overall its what I expected for the price. Everything works perfectly on it, great beginning stereo for a younger teenager/pre-teen

This is about the third or fourth CD player we have bought. They usually last about 2- 6 months. This one seems to be a better quality than the others.. Will know as time goes by but I did buy the two year extra warranty.

My husband needed this to play with his guitar for writing songs, He likes the fact that he can keep his IPhone fully charged along with his IPod and have them right there with him. It's light weight and very durable. His complaint was the volume only goes up to 20. The sound is good but if you want to play along with something it just doesn't go loud enough.

The only thing is that the volume does not go high so I would not recommend if like to play music loud. I like it because I can play music from my phone.

I like it cool, has a great sound, I would like it more if it had a remote.

This product works great for cds and as a docking station. It has good sound and is easy to transport.

If you own an iPod you will need no instructions to use this model. The iPod dock stores away neatly when not in use and you can play music while you are charging your iPod. The unit has two speakers and the first one I bought had only one speaker working. After returning the defective unit, the second one works perfectly and is a good value for the price. We use this out on our patio and backyard and the sound quality is pretty good for a small unit.

This small unit is has a great sound quality. I am pleased that my I Pod is able to charge from the docking station. A great sound. Wish it had more volume.

The combo FM tuner/CD player/I-pad docking station "boom box" was a great value for all the features it had.
